Oh, dear. You are correct. That should have been The_Cooler in that bracket. Brackets are updated and apologies for any confusion my attempt at posting brackets and watching Orphan Black simultaneously has caused.

Also, I wanted to pick the community's mind about what kind of loose themes you'd be interested in playing in the coming months (like the "CMC" and "mess with opponent" themes my last two months have had), or if you'd prefer a month with completely random challenges.

Feedback is fun and useful.
I personally like MCCs that can let you tell a story. Some options I think would be fun for future MCCs:
- Design a tribe and flesh it out (round 1, come up with a tribe, round 2, design a mechanic, round 3, come up with a legendary creature leader, etc etc)... though I might use this myself if I ever run an MCC/CCL
- Filling in holes in the set (rnd 1, we need a blue uncommon that bounces, and it has to be X [min/max CMC, does extra affect, etc], rnd 2 we need a big common french vanilla beater...)
- Fixing "broken" cards, or riffs on older cards (rnd 1, design a "fixed" Necropotence, rnd 2, design a "fixed" Stoneforge Mystic, rnd 3 create a good Wood Elemental etc etc)
I would really love a month with vanilla creatures or cards that benefit vanilla creatures. I think designing an engaging vanilla creature is a challenge most people think is quiet easy but are hard pressed to do when presented with it.
The only problem with that is that the design space is so very limited that judging a whole month of vanilla cards would be a bit of a nightmare. Maybe I can work up a "Muraganda Month" where the challenges involve vanillas and basic lands. I'll put it on my list.

This is a neat idea, but it's asking a lot more than just card design. I'll add "Tribal Month" to the list.

This is an idea I already have on my list. It's good to see that I'm not crazy.

This is cool and all, but in the end Round 1 is going to end up with so very little variation that judging would be hell.

Mildly difficult bonus points are my favorite thing in the MCC, I like seeing people who can think of reasonable ways around it and giving bad scores to people who make ludicrous cards just to get bonus points

I usually put forth effort on that front, unless I'm strapped for time. A whole month dedicated to hard to accomplish and/or contradictory bonuses might be fun to do, though.

Alright, still waiting on Fuusengum to judge his brackets, but I went ahead and put up Round Four.

I'm facing Noatz in Round 3, not Marco.

Oh, dear. I swear, my memory must be getting REALLY bad if I mix up names in the handful of seconds it takes me to click away from Notepad. My apologies, sir.

Would poison counters satisfy the first requirement? (Force a player to lose)
I don't think so. That's kind of like saying Lava Spike forces a player to lose because it deals damage. Technically I guess, but it's not really what is being looked for with the challenge. That's my opinion at least.

I can do it if necessary but can you try to arrange for judging not to have a deadline on the last full weekend of may? I will literally have no chance of judging that Friday/Saturday/Sunday.
I know you're willing to do it if need be, but I feel like a heel for actually taking you up on it. lol

Also, this is the standard ~36 hour warning until the player deadline. round 4 will be a sad sight if there's only two entries.
On another note, May's MCC will be an even sadder sight if we only have two judges. Help us out?

Also, also, I'd like to get at least one more judge for May so I don't have to call in Big_Cal as an emergency judge AGAIN.
