This challenge is proving extremely difficult. Better revert to my last-resort creature type...well, let's just see how many card references get picked up.
Just making sure - Is it ok to create a card that depends on an opponent action/status in play/grave/lab ect. ?
Such as destroying a creature in play or bouncing a permanent.

Destroy target permanent with a Z in its name. I'm the Z zapper. I zap Z's. I really don't like Z's. I just don't. I mean, who needs them? Z's. pfffft.
Yup, I'm online at all hours, I'm an insomniac, what of it?

That was a tough round to judge, don't you guys think?
Yeah, that was challenging. I love rounds like that though. You can anticipate lower overall scores. As long as your smart about your card, you can really concentrate on creativity and exploring design space. With my card, I attempted to hit the multi-player formats while reversing the normal tribal boost by using black. It wasn't the most well received idea, but I'm still moving on. I hope we see more of these challenges this month.
To be honest, I did expect some difficulties this month when I saw Zweet was organizing. Last time I organized with him (October I think), he had some pretty sick ideas. Cheers man
I've a question regarding card making in general. For this round, I got the bonus point with a green card producing white Seal of Cleansing tokens. It would have made more sense to produce Seal of Primordium tokens instead. I chose to stick with the white seal to get the bonus point, of course, and because I consider the colourshifted cards as exceptions that shouldn't be redone. What's your opinion about coloushifted cards? Should we ignore them when we design, or are they printed cards like any others, that we can use/get inspired from?
Considering Prodigal Pyromancer was originally colorshifted, I think it's fine...
My round 2 judgings are up. There were some good cards and some bad cards, but the race for 3rd place was a difficult matchup.
Regarding unbrokencircle, I have not heard from him since the end of round 1, when he apologized for missing the judging because he was sick. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until the deadline passes, but if he doesn't post, I'll be a sad panda.
On the topic of using colorshifted cards (and anything else from Time Spiral block), I think that most designers choose to take those cards with a grain of salt. But some of them are, in my opinion, more appropriate than their originators and were colorshifted with the aim of fixing them down the road (or at least opening up that color pie option). I certainly wouldn't base an argument on only a colorshifted card, and that opinion will only be strengthened over time, as opportunities for similar effects to appear in the colorshifted color on real printed cards increase.

I got good reviews but my card was still second to last. I guess the quality of the submissions was great this round, congrats to the winners and thanks to 'mancer!
I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.

Actually, your card, SomeoneSomewhere's, and StubbornBoy's cards were all on a similar par (in fact, you beat both of them in combined Design & Development), but Stubborn Boy met both challenges (although achieving one of them cost him a bit in development) and had less errors, which allowed his card to advance. This is the first time I can think of where an outcome of my judging was this closely dependent upon the the Polish category.
In other news, I have not had the time to post Round 3, nor have I heard from unbrokencircle, so I'm looking for a(nother!) replacement judge to take his pod. If one of the other judges has the opportunity, that'd be great; if not, it may be a bit before his pod receives justice. (And no, ubc will not be included among the round three or four judges.) All of it, unfortunately, will have to wait until tomorrow.
I don't understand why Surge moves on he failed one of the major requirements it had to make multiple tokens at once
Those are challenges, not requirements. You're docked one point for missing a challenge, meaning if you decide not to do the challenges (They're optional), then you'll automatically be docked two points. Basically, the scoring is up to 23, but there's two bonus points you can get that can give you over a 100% score, and quite often those two points can determine if you beat the other contestants in your pod.
It's like the extra credit on a quiz.

Clarifications time!
''aura card that doesn't enchant a creature.'' Does that mean under no (normal) circumstances can it be applied to a creature?
Challenge aside, would Confiscate be disqualified?

Thank you, The Letter 3. I do have to say that you didn't dock me a point for having 'Target' in my card's rules text, however.

It really needs to put multiple tokens into play per trigger to meet the challenge. Mobilization would not qualify.
