Sorry for the late judging for May, all done now.
Congrats to rkohn1357!
Fun and interesting stuff playing with the creature type line. Flatline, if you want to open a thread in the main CCC forum, maybe people would be interested in developing that angle.
No problem Gerrard's Mom. A half day late isn't the end of the world. Especially when you gave everyone a heads up last night.
I hope everyone enjoyed the month. I wish it went a bit more smoothly (especially round 3), but I suppose that's what you get for posting crazy challenges. For the record, I purposely made it sound like I am much more in favor of my proposed creature description changes than I actually am. While I find it interesting, I don't doubt that Wizards would probably reject both ideas as unnecessary considering the potential confusion they would add to the game. Perhaps I'll follow Gerrard's Mom's advice and start a discussion thread about the ideas.

Are creatures for round 2 supposed to be Dominarian?
Only Leo can say for sure, but in the MCC the challenge just means what it says in the bold text, and the word "Dominaria" is nowhere to be found, so I would assume this means the creatures can be from any setting.
Just a heads up, I passed round 1 but I'm not listed as a competitor.
You're right, thanks. I just inadvertently left you out of my copy/paste from Excel. Going to fix it right now.
EDIT: Done. Thanks again.

MSE doesn't seem to have a template for Sagas. Is there a way to see how well the text would fit in the text box?
MSE does have a Saga template. I know because I have it. I'll see if I can find again the link.
EDIT: found it. While you're there, take a look at the whole thread, there are templates for all recent frames, including those from Dominaria. Credit to user Cajun from the new MSE forum. I'll add this to the clarifications in the round thread.

(2,5/3) Quality: It's "creatures you control gain", e.g. Heroic Reinforcements. There's one weird instance where your wording was used, on Shade's Breath, but I'm almost certain that has to do with the "become" part. The flavor text is unusual but describes how the card actually seems to work. No other flaws detected.
This is a super tiny point, but I believe Cauldron of Souls and Cauldron Haze are the correct references for wording temporary persist. I assume they are worded with the nonstandard "each creature gains" instead of "creatures you control gain" because the reminder text would be hard to parse in the plural.
Thanks for the judgings!
Maralen's Bright Restoration2WB
Enchantment - Saga (R) (As this Saga enters and after your draw step, add a lore counter.)
I: Until your next turn, each creature you control gains persist. (When it dies, if it had no -1/-1 counters on it, return it to the battlefield under its owner's control with a -1/-1 counter on it.)
II: Remove all counters from creatures and enchantments you control. Until end of turn, creatures you control get +1/+1 and gain all creature types.
True, the flavor text reads weird with the wording I propose. Flavor text is generelly more flexible, though. I'm thinking of old and new Chord of Calling. I wonder if the actual rules text would be changed instead of the flavor text. Using the proposed version of the rules text one could easily just write "(When a creature with persist dies, . . .)" Also, while persist in particular is probably too complex to be printed without flavor text, it is worth a thought experiment to imagine it having no flavor text at all. Flavor text for abilities can be dropped on higher rarity cards, in that case the remaining rules text should look the way it regulary does I think. But what is normal with persist? The text on the Claudron is a special case either way, with the upfront choosing an such.
It won't affect the outcome of this round but now I'm curious. Does anyone maybe know of a similiar case where the rules text got changed?
The final round for June is up. Because of a tie in round 3, we have four players. Good luck everyone!
EDIT: Now the final scores are up as well, and this means we have our winner for June, and that is... Raptorchan! Congratulations to them and thanks to all the players and judges this month.

So when you said it didn't have to be a creature, you meant it still had to be able to turn into a creature with persist. I want to complain, but since no one else made that mistake, I think the only problem is with my reading comprehension skills.

What I meant was not only creatures can get P/T altering counters, specifically - if you wanted to do the animate-into-creature route that would have been valid too, but still, the challenge did say "WITH persist or undying", and Flight would obviously not satisfy a challenge that says "a card with flying", for example. Let this just be a lesson to thoroughly read the challenge and ALWAYS ask for clarification if unsure.
Thanks for the reply The_Hittite. The thread you are linking is the first time I've actually seen someone try to list all of the evergreen abilities in the correct order, which is actually quite surprising. I've attempted to update that list to modern times. There is no way that I know of to compile a list that is certain to be 100% accurate though, so this list is the best I could do....
Flash
Defender, flying, first strike, double strike, menace, vigilance, reach, deathtouch, trample, lifelink, hexproof, indestructible, haste, protection from <name>
?Prowess?
Here's a synopsis of how I arrived at the list I did....
- The cards Akroma, Angel of Wrath and Chromanticore give a good baseline to start with. They show us the following order: Flying, first strike, vigilance, trample, lifelink, haste, protection from <name>.
That leaves us with the following keywords to figure out: defender, prowess, double strike, menace, reach, deathtouch, hexproof, and indestructible. Here's how I placed each of them...
Defender - Fog Bank shows us defender comes before flying. Simple. Double strike - Kalemne, Disciple of Iroas shows us that double strike comes before vigilance. Drogskol Reaver shows us it comes after flying. It's not possible to say for sure which comes first, first strike or double strike, but I think it makes sense that first strike would come first. Menace - Kari Zev, Skyship Raider shows us that menace comes after first strike, and Dire Fleet Ravager shows us that it comes before deathtouch, so it could fall anywhere in between those two abilities. I think it would come before vigilance and reach because it has to do with how the creature can be blocked, which seems to be given a lot of weight if flying is taken as an example. I'm actually surprised it doesn't come between flying and first strike, like the ability (intimidate) it replaced did.I'm not sure the crossed out sentence is true. All that can be said for sure is, intimidate came somewhere between flying and trample, as can be seen on Withengar Unbound. Reach - Ramunap Hydra shows us reach comes after vigilance. Deadly Recluse shows us that it comes before deathtouch. I think Deadly Recluse can be trusted because both abilities have their reminder text. Deathtouch - Deadly Recluse shows that deathtouch comes after reach. Gifted Aetherborn shows us that it comes before lifelink. It is impossible to say whether deathtouch comes before or after trample, but I think deathtouch coming before trample would make more sense for a card that had both (which has never been printed). Hexproof - Ormendahl, Profane Prince shows us that indestructible comes after lifelink. Insidious Mist shows us that hexproof comes before indestructible. Indestructible - Insidious Mist shows us that indestructible comes after hexproof. Hazoret the Fervent shows us that it comes before haste. Prowess - This one is impossible to say because Wizards has yet to print a card with prowess that doesn't include the reminder text (as least not that I could find). I put it where I did because I felt like it. Which is why I list it separately from everything else.
I did this as quickly as I could, so please excuse an errors or omissions. I hope my reasoning for the list makes sense. If there is anything glaringly wrong with the list, or my reasoning behind it, please feel free to respond. It would be cool to make this list as accurate as possible.
Edit: I changed the list so that prowess was listed separately from everything else. I don't want to give anybody using the list for reference to get the wrong idea. I'm also unsure about my placement of menace, although I'm all but certain it comes between first strike and deathtouch. I'm pretty confidant about the rest of it.
Interesting post that Antiantiserum brought up in their judgings. I actually just happened to look this up for my CCL entry.
Fascinating that the "list of keywords" cards differ in their ordering from cards that actually have the keywords. See Majestic Myriarch, Odric, Lunarch Marshal and Soulflayer for recent examples. As far as I can tell, in the lists flying comes first, then first strike double strike, then the rest alphabetically for whatever reason.
I tweeted at Del Laugel to see if there are official answers, not sure if she is responsive to that sort of thing.
I don't know who Del Laugel is, but if she has a definitive answer for keyword order, I'd love to hear it. I've never had anyone argue that anything in my list is definitely incorrect, so I've referred back to it as a guide several times since I originally posted it. I should check again to see if I can shore up any of the keyword positions using cards that have been released since I compiled the list. Maybe I'll do that tonight.
Edit: Actually, that was easy. I already checked to see if anything has been printed to solidify any of the more ambiguous keyword, but there hasn't. Wizards really needs to make one card with the following abilities: Menace, vigilance, reach, deathouch. How 'bout this: Restless Stalker3BG
Creature — Spider (R)
Menace, vigilance, reach, deathtouch

You're right, thanks. I just inadvertently left you out of my copy/paste from Excel. Going to fix it right now.

Enchantment - Saga (R)
(As this Saga enters and after your draw step, add a lore counter.)
It won't affect the outcome of this round but now I'm curious. Does anyone maybe know of a similiar case where the rules text got changed?
EDIT: Now the final scores are up as well, and this means we have our winner for June, and that is... Raptorchan! Congratulations to them and thanks to all the players and judges this month.

Edit: Actually, that was easy. I already checked to see if anything has been printed to solidify any of the more ambiguous keyword, but there hasn't. Wizards really needs to make one card with the following abilities: Menace, vigilance, reach, deathouch. How 'bout this:
Restless Stalker 3BG
Creature — Spider (R)
Menace, vigilance, reach, deathtouch
