Thanks guys. Antiantiserum was the last judge to join, so I suppose he/she can have the month off from judging, and I'll advance 10 to the next round. I wish there was more time for Antiantiserum to enter a card if he/she would like.

@ Flatline: It wasn't explicitly stated, but I guess top 4 advance as usual in round 1, right?
Well, Gerrard's Mom and I had already discussed passing 10 on, but two people submitted crits and 1 judge was dropped since then, so top 4 (12 people total) seems about right at this point. I'll add it to the judge list post.

Okay so instead of picking usual classes, i made my own fictuinal class "Mancer". Since pyromancers and necromancers and hydromancers even fashionmancers all share a specialization.
Then there are guys like Chandra, who would currently be classed as wizard even though she is far far far from a wizard. She doea not study, she does not have complex circles and orations, no pointy hats or bigass spellbooks, she just has fire. But her fire is the best.
So they are like savant mages, specializing in one magic "innately" and sucking in others. Mainly this is to diversify the wizard class
Books, pointy hat, study, magic circle, incantations = Wizard
Nature, soul of thing, spirit hippy magic = Shaman
Feel it, Born with it, Specialize = Mancer ("____"mancer)
Please dont include this explanation in the scoring of MCC, I just wanted to rant about how wizards are too broad a class. So i wanted to make a stupid goblinie who can shoot lightning balls out of his eyes and can manipulate minds, MtG says hes a wizard. Weeee

MtG is where you can hate white players or black players, and still not be racist.
There's only two hours left for entries in round 2 and we are still missing cards from IcariiFA, Seeonee, and Jimmy Groove. I assume you are all holding out for that last minute, dramatic entrance?

Sorry IcariiFA. I would've been more than happy to grant an extension, but I didn't hear from anyone before the deadline, so I went ahead and closed the round. I figured you were just being a nice guy and giving someone else a shot for once.

Yes, sentient isn't exactly the correct word. Perhaps sapient would have been better. In the Wizards page on race they break it down as Humanoid, Humanoid in appearance only, sentient non-humanoid, and animals, which is why I went with sentient. Basically, what I'm looking for is creatures with a human-like intelligence. I'll add something to clarifications about it tonight. Unfortunately I don't really have the time right now.

Sorry to leave this hanging for so long, but I haven't had access to the site since early this morning, and I didn't have the time to update the thread then. I have now updated the thread to use the term sapient instead of sentient. I had my reasons for using sentient, but multiple people think I should be using the term sapient instead, and I don't necessarily disagree with them.
I also added a clarification to subchallenge 1 based on a PM I received from Gerrard's Mom.
Hopefully things are clearer now. I apologize that they weren't clear to begin with.

D'oh!
And this is why you proofread your submission thoroughly before the deadline. For the record, it was supposed to be a 3/3.
Don't worry, it has happened to me too a while ago. I usually design all my cards in MSE then export in a text file from which I copy and paste here. That time I accidentally didn't copy the power and toughness of my creature from the text file. I'm convinced that something very similar just happened to you. While I totally understand it was just an oversight, I just can't let it pass as a judge, I'm sorry. You have all my comprehension for what it's worth.
EDIT: Just throwing out that I might be interested in hosting June. We'll see as we get closer to the end of this month.

(I have a very big one that I'm working on right now but that's private for now, and I don't know if I will ever actually publish it, and I also have ideas for multiple future ones, including one where I'm going to reprise Jeff.)
Sarina the CursedUUU
>Legendary Creature - Cat / Wizard {R}
When Sarina the Cursed enters the battlefield, draw a card.
Your maximum hand size is increased by one for each blue Cat Wizard you control.
Your opponents maximum hand size is reduced by one for each black Cat Wizard you control. “Pronunciation is key to spell casting, trust me, I know.”
2/2
I hope my logic is right here. I am basing my card on Cat Wizards, assuming that if a card is a cat wizard, it is a sapient being, and not just an animal cat.
Technically, this card goes against the spirit of what I'm trying to do, but since I made the challenge rather confusing, I'm going to say that this sort of thing meets the challenge fully. Really, the only way I can think of to successfully pass the 1st subchallenge is to have the words "sapient (creature type of you choice)" in your rules text. The reason I didn't explicitly state this is the challenge is so that I could leave it open for people to come up with something cool I hadn't though of. Unfortunately, that left open some design space that really doesn't do what I was thinking of. Anyway, as I said, I'll accept this interpretation of the challenge since I wasn't more clear, but people should feel free to use the word "sapient" in their rules text. For this challenge, it is assumed that Wizards has explained that > means sapient, and that they've also explained what sapient means.

I'm stoked for a bravelion led MCC. After enduring the clown that hosted May, it will seem like cool breath of fresh air to have someone that actually knows what they are doing.

I recently watched Narcos, and season 3 involved Jorge Salcedo that double crosser Rat/ Mole. So it became clear to me that I was gonna doa a Rat Rat. Hahaha.
As I had anticipated, I'm ready to do it. I've actually already written half the challenges... If you agree, I will wait a few more days and then go ahead and post the judge signup thread at the end of this week, then round 1 right on June 1st.

• The two public custom sets I've been part a part of the design team for:
"Brotherhood of Ormos" - Blog post with all info - set thread - design skeleton / card list || "Extinctia: Homo Evanuit" - Blog post with all info - set thread - card list spreadsheet
• "The Lion's Lair", my article series about MTG and custom card design in particular. Latest article here. Here is the article index. Rather outdated by now, and based on the old MCC rubric, but I'm leaving this here for anybody that might be interested anyway.
• My only public attempt at being a writer: the story of my Leonin custom planeswalker Jeff Lionheart. (I have a very big one that I'm working on right now but that's private for now, and I don't know if I will ever actually publish it, and I also have ideas for multiple future ones, including one where I'm going to reprise Jeff.)
Go for it.

Thanks for the appreciation, but don't set your expectations too high. It's just the regular Dominaria month you would expect, with just a little twist at a certain point in the month. Nothing major though.
