Gallowbraid, Heart of Stone3BB
Legendary Creature - Horror (R)
Gallowbraid, Heat of Stone assigns its combat damage as though it weren't blocked.
All damage that would be dealt to Gallowbraid is dealt to its controller instead. An untouchable emissary of unfathomable evil.
5/5
IIW: A new Conspiracy mechanic (like one that goes on actual Conspiracy type cards)
CrustaceanChemtrails - Homelands legends DO need updating. This take on Soraya is very nice, reminiscent of Derevi, Empyrial Tactician, and would frankly combo well with that card.
Subject16 - Bit of a lazy name, isn't this? First ability probably plays well but does seem like it needs red or green in the cost to justify it. The "ult" seems... a bit difficult to make good use of considering the cost.
Flatline - Kind of too close to the original Asmira for my tastes, and also feels, once again, like it needs another color - black.
chetoos - Elf tribal legends are usually welcome for me and this is fairly strong but this, from a design perspective, is just a fancy Sporemound and the land-blinking clause of the activated ability just feels overly cute.
Cardz5000 - Crew 0 seems like it'd cause confusion, although this IS pretty clever. Definitely a bomb if you can get it working, but very costly to use - build-around for sure.
TotallyHaywire - This simultaneously does way too many different things and is too costly for its effects.
Gerrard's Mom - Cool effects and I guess they make sense in combination in black as a Tormented Soul riff, but also feels a bit like a Dominaria uncommon legend.
HM: Gerrard's Mom
Winner: Chemtrails
Next: Inspired by history.
Pashalik MonsBRG
Legendary Creature - Goblin Warrior {M}
At the beginning of your upkeep, if Pashalik Mons is in the command zone, create a 1/1 red Goblin creature token for each time you’ve cast your commander from the command zone this game.
Haste
Sacrifice another goblin you control: Destroy target permanent defending player controls. Activate this ability only if Pashalik Mons is attacking that player and only once per combat.
2/2
I'm not sure how fast this thread usually is but since there's only one entry and victory by default is no fun I'll hold off on judging until tomorrow. If this is a bad challenge you can do this one instead:
Maeveen O'Donagh, MemoiristWBG
Legendary Creature - Human Soldier (R)
Lifelink, deathtouch WB, T: Prevent all damage that would be dealt to Maeveen O'Donagh this turn. Maeveen O'Donagh gains hexproof and indestructible until end of turn. BG: Target creature gets -1/+2 until end of turn. "How did I live through all that? Endurance, the blood of my friends, luck."
2/2
Cardz: I like what this card is doing - the tension between stockpiling dorks / cashing them in is pretty enjoyable. That said, I almost wish you would have doubled down harder and let the payoff more directly scale with the number of creatures you accumulate ("C, Sacrifice another Goblin: Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature you control"?) Besides that, at higher numbers it provides insane inevitability for practically free and I don't know if that's necessarily fun. I'd consider adding a hoop to jump through with a token as a reward. All in all, an enjoyable card. Three and a half stars.
voidy_pie: This has a lot going on, yet the abilities don't feel cohesive or impactful. I wish it had a mechanical hook to tie them together. Better yet, I wish it did one thing well instead of two things not so well. I also don't think such a durdly stall card fits the lore or what seems to be the intention of the card - if she's supposed to be the best blocker ever, why not reward blocking, or combat more generally? (rather than punishing your opponent for attacking, which they will probably just not do). I don't like this very much. Two stars.
We Few1WW
Sorcery (R)
Each player creates a 2/2 white Knight creature token with vigilance. Then each player chooses a number of creatures they control equal to the number of creatures controlled by the player who controls the fewest, then sacrifices the rest.
Cycling 3
Stack Cats2WW
Enchantment (U)
Each time a Cat creature comes into play, create a 1/1 Cat token with lifelink. The cats have been hunting in packs, lately.
Drawn Ward (W/U)
Enchantment- Aura {R}
Enchant player or permanent 1, T: Put a charge counter on Drawn Ward. W, sacrifice Drawn Ward: Prevent the next X damage that would be dealt to enchanted permanent or player this turn, where X is the number of charge counters on Drawn Ward. U, sacrifice Drawn Ward: Counter target spell that targets enchanted permanent or player unless that spell's controller pays X.
When Drawn Ward is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, draw a card.
IIW: A new Guild champion for one of the guilds in GRN (you can use the released keywords for the guilds)
We Few goes a long way to making a balance affect a lot more forgiving while still able to act as a cheap near boardwipe in a control deck. Stack Cats desperately needs a non-token clause for the trigger. The lifelink also feels weird for generic cat tokens. Drawn Ward is too expensive and too specific to be useful. Drawn also feels like an odd adjective choice for these effects. Racecar is a really generic name and doesn't convey to me that this vehicle can do anything the creature driving it can. We've never had a card reference "keyword abilities", typically they just do a list of evergreen abilities (see: Majestic Myriarch)
Winner is Void
Next challenge: Nonblue monsters of the deep and/or green fatties WITH flying.
Lord of the Abyss4BBB

Creature - Leviathan
T: Put target creature or land on the bottom of its owner's library.
At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice ~ unless you put a permanent you control on the bottom of its owner's library.
6/9
Subject16 - Very good flavor text and the whole inverted Lord of the Pit drawback - that is primarily an advantageous ability - seems really interesting and strategic. I also like the lack of flying since this is an underwater Demon. However, this is sort of missing something to give it that truly undersea feel.
Flatline - Based on Thundermaw Hellkite this could and probably should be an entirely red card, mechanically speaking. Not much reason to make this monogreen or, conversely, to design this as a green flyer, other than for irony/inversion with the ETB triggered ability. All in all just a blah design even if it's perfectly functional.
JaceTheBodySculptor - This feels properly old-school, like Demonic Hordes or more recently Helldozer. Bottom of library instead of destroy is a great touch, and altogether this is a fun jank rare(?) that is exactly how I'd design a black Leviathan, even if I would tweak the numbers a bit here.
Ultimately it came down to Subject16 and JaceTheBodySculptor's similar designs. Subject16's mechanics were better and overall more polished, while JaceTheBodySculptor nailed the flavor better.
Trowel Priggants1(B/G)(B/G)
Creature - Ouphe {U}
Creatures blocking or blocked by Trowel Priggants have wither. (They deal damage to creatures in the form of -1/-1 counters.)

Creature tokens can’t attack you.
Mischevious Monomal 1UU
Creature - Ouphe [Uncommon]
You may choose not to untap Mischevious Monomal during your untapped step
T: Target Creature loses all abilities for as long as Mischevious Monomal remains tapped.
