Cardz5000: Revel is a bad mechanic and shouldn't exist. Also, this is literally Firestorm.
Tilwin: Angelfire is good design, but the red is unnecessary. Since Austere Command already does this, I can't give you full points, unfortunately.
Tilwin: This is just Shatterstorm with some life loss.
Tilwin: Starfall Volley is brilliant design, but has no reason to be blue, and aside from some corner interactions is essentially "xUR: Deal 6 to everything with CMC less than or equal to X. Spend only blue or red mana on X."
Tilwin: Burning Abyss is oppressive to creature decks. Let's say that every turn, you get to Slagstorm. That's completely broken! Also, the hellbent mode makes this card a win condition as well! At least this is your first card where both colors make sense.
TC: You need to sacrifice something like three creatures and spend 8R to get a Slagstorm out of this.
kbnyn: Cute. Vampire Hexmage needs a broom like this.
SNL: Mindslaver—tier unbeatable, 10+ CMC artifact. Next.
Atogaholic: I like the design a lot, but I hate how you can hold it up on your opponent's turn and they can't do anything about it.
balkottth: Use the [mana][/mana] tags in the future. Also, interesting design, but I'd change the stats up a bit. I think the card is balanced and is an interesting design, but I don't like how it can be potentailly unbeatable for creature decks.
I-T: Good design, but I'm pretty sure a three mana sweeper is printable in an era where four mana sweepers are too good.
Luusydh: Reminds me of Master the Way, but in a blue-red sense. I like it, in the sense that it rewards you for hand size manipulation in a very kamigawa-esque style.
Doombringer: As with all counterspells with four or more CMC, it has to have a big payoff to justify running it over Cancel, and Counterblast does. It's interesting design, and I like it the more I look at it. Still, I would've preffered to see double white in the mana cost. Maybe 2UU to cast as a counterspell, with a WW kicker as a wrath?
Cythare: You've used one of my favorite mechanics, and I really like the card, but you're up against tough competition, and you have no flavor text.
coletrain: Clean design. This is just like the Hearthstone card Brawl. I like it.
HM: Honestly, most entries were really good. It was tough deciding a winner.

Interesting mechanic, and a good way to represent class/studying. I'm not a fan of how much worse these are in multiples. Potions Research seems undercosted, and really stresses how much more powerful these are as instants. Finally, I think Sprout should read "each other creature that attends it."
