Park Statue2
Artifact Creature - Golem

Park Statue may block birds as though it had flying.
Whenever Park Statue blocks a bird, that creature doesn't untap on its controller's next untap step.

IIW: upkeep mechanics
EDIT: Jeez I forgot most of the things for making a creature... Sorry.
I guess what I should say is that THS cards are much weaker outside of Theros. I don't know, it's a great set, just not in conjuncture with other formats.
These posts are both saying different things and are both wrong.
Just because you don't like a mechanic doesn't make the set bad.
>one set with devotion, three multicolor sets
>devotion is a strong enough mechanic that mono color decks are two of the top tier decks currently
>devotion is so strong nightveil specter sees play
(And at the AI post above)
No **** a block will see play in a Standard environment; there's only one other block with cards to choose from! (Well like another ~1/3rd of a block with the Core Set). Kamigawa was certainly used in Standard too (more so after Mirrodin rotated). When we broaden the card pool, Theros has had essentially no applications aside from like two Tier 2.5 decks in Modern.
I thought RTR and THS blended quite well. This is going to be a very flavor based comment, but please stay with me.
Thematically, the shift into RTR from INN seemed more intuitive. I can only give you examples to help make myself clear, but you should get my drift. Mausoleum Guard & Elgaud Inquisitor are so Orzhov, you don't even have to stretch you imagination. Spilnterfright & Strangleroot Geist are very Golgari. Lots of White soldiers that are very Boros and Azorious. Mad Scientist much? They really like Simic and Izzet. I am sure you get where I am going with this.
RTR to Theros is not as intuitive, but from a creature type and architecture stand point, they flow really well. One of my favorite flavor nuggets is how the Shock lands fit THS flavor better than INS, especially in the cases like Breeding Pool, where they changed the context of the title. The new Breeding Pool art reflects a place where large monsters go to breed or are bred rather than something like a cloning vat. Steam Vents? Hello Keranos. Temple Garden? No explanation needed. Sacred Foundry? Seems pretty Porphuros. Overgrown Tomb? Gorgons love that ****. Hallowed Fountain? Meletis to the max.

Maybe I'm just bad at reading comprehension, but it seems to me that Winterspring was generalizing to all non-Block formats. It turns out that Standard falls into that category. I'm not seeing my point being disproved.
It was at that moment that I realized: I'm kinda just making these things up. We can just write the rules the way we want them to work. People will have fun, and people will get it.
Every set should just be palette swapped Avacyn Restored.
But AR was also a Worst Set Evar (tm).
In other news, I bought a box of ISD and AR, and made out pretty well with both of them. Given the legendary gods coming in the next set in the off-colors that everyone loves (BW, UR, UG, BG and RW all have their fans), I think I'll be pre-ordering that one, sight unseen.
Champion of the Briny Deep1U
Creature - Merfolk Soldier {U}
Whenever Champion of the Briny Deep attacks, if your devotion to blue is greater than the number of +1/+1 counters on it, put a +1/+1 counter on it. 1/1
IIW: A card for a summer release.
This looks cool. Doesn't really feel like a blue effect, but of course +1/+1 counters /can/ work in any color.
Mike Tyson2WW
Creature - Human (M)
First Strike
Mike Tyson gets +1/+1 for each Bird creature you control.
At the beginning of your end step, if Maki T'Son didn't attack this turn, put a 1/1 white Bird creature token with Flying onto the battlefield. I don't understand why people would want to get rid of pigeons. They don't bother no one.
2/2
Body-Snatcher - 3U
Creature - Shapeshifter Rogue (U)
Whenever Body-Snatcher becomes blocked, switch Body-Snatcher with the creature blocking it.
2/2
IWW: Cards that utilize rarity.
Switch control you mean? Seems fair enough. Needs worded differently, but I understand what you're going for.
This isn't really "blue aggro"; I'm not sure what this is. Feels too expensive for what is usually just a 2/2 unblockable - unless necessary.
Seacliff NestW
Instant U
You may return an island to your hand rather than pay Seacliff Nest's casting Cost.
Put 1/1 white bird creature token with flying onto the battlefield.
Flashback -- Sacrifice an island.
IIW: Theros Machanics/Alara Flavor
Weird how it's a white card with white tokens, but can easily be played in a mono blue deck.
The power level is fine.
Coast Poacher1WU
Creature - Bird Soldier (R)
Flying
Whenever Coast Poacher deals combat damage to a player, reveal the top card of your library. Put X 1/1 white Bird creature tokens with flying onto the battlefield, where X is that card's converted mana cost, then put that card into your hand.
2/3
IIW: Green removal
2/3 Flying is already solid for an Ophidian. The X Birds can be good-to-amazing. This is definitely pushing, if not too good.
It is really cool but in hindsight would probabably look weird and too top-down, so yes, Theros is really somewhat similar to Kamigawa.
West Shrine's KatanaUU
Creature - Rabbit Ninja U
Ninjutsu 0
When you pay ~'s Ninjutsu cost or it deals damage to a player, each opponent draws a card.
4/2
IIW: Ninja // Song lyrics
I'm just not a fan. The drawback feels too bad, and a 4/2 in blue, and 0 Ninjutsu. This is all stuff I can't get behind.
Wing-Wind Dejection2UU
Instant (U)
Put two 1/1 blue Bird creature tokens with flying onto the battlefield, then counter target spell if its converted mana cost is less than or equal to the number of Birds you control.
Djinn of Teeming SkiesUU
Creature — Djinn [R]
Flying, trample
Kicker 1U
At the beginning of your upkeep, if Djinn of Teemping Skies wasn't kicked, each opponent puts a 1/1 blue Bird creature token with flying onto the battlefield.
3/4
IIW: cards that are better when not played on curve
Memory issues blahblah.
Overall though, this just doesn't feel blue at all.
Flock Together2U
Enchantment (U)
Whenever a nontoken Bird creature enters the battlefield under your control, put a 1/1 white Bird creature token with flying onto the battlefield.
Park Statue2
Artifact Creature - Golem
Defender
Park Statue may block birds as though it had flying.
Whenever Park Statue blocks a bird, that creature doesn't untap on its controller's next untap step.

IIW: Lords for big iconics (hydras, dragons, demons, angels, sphinxes)
I guess what I should say is that THS cards are much weaker outside of Theros. I don't know, it's a great set, just not in conjuncture with other formats.
I did play some paper standard and I hated it. On the limited side, I'm helping a friend prepare for the Pre-rel right at this moment.
PS. I dislike Devotion with a passion.
FeatherpainterG Creature - Human Shaman R
Birds you control have "T: Add one mana of any color of this bird's colors to your mana pool."

Creature - Bird Wizard (U)

Scry 3 is huge.
The other part of the card is super generic.
Skullpecker1BB
Creature — Bird (R)
Flying, double strike
Whenever Skullpecker deals combat damage to a player, that player discards a card at random.
1/1
IIW: Name mutations from real animals
While I do enjoy stuff like this, this is too powerful. If it wasn't random it would be more in line with stuff nowadays.
Form of the Doomgape3BG
Enchantment (R)
At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice a creature. If you do, you gain life equal to that creature's toughness. If you don't, Form of the Doomgape deals damage to you equal to your life total.
At the beginning of each opponent's upkeep, Form of the Doomgape deals 10 damage to target creature that player controls.
Science Machine4
Artifact (R) X, T, Sacrifice any number of artifacts with total converted mana cost X: Search your library for up to X artifacts with total converted mana cost X or less and put them onto the battlefield. Then shuffle your library. It's a research station. I can learn new things with it.
Subsistence Crisis - 1BBB
Enchantment (R)
At the beginning of each player's upkeep, put a Famine counter on Subsistence Crisis. If that player controls less than X creatures, where X is equal to the number of Famine counters on Subsistence Crisis, that player loses the game. Otherwise, that player must sacrifice X creatures where X is equal to the number of Famine counters on Subsistence Crisis and that player gains X life.
Flaying Licid1BR
Creature - Licid (R)
Haste, wither

Enchantment - Aura (R)

Struggle for SurvivalG Enchantment
Whenever a creature enters the battlefield, it fight another creature with the same controller of its controllers choice.
