To be fair, as a G/W split card, it would also need to be printed One for All // All for One anyways because green is always on the left side in this color pair.
Problem solved(ish).
Is that a real rule? They have to make split cards as though the mana cost of the whole card was in order?
I mean I see the logic to the way it is laid out but I think they could print a left half white right half green card if they felt like it
shhhhhhhhhhhh
I am aware that I was incorrect but was too lazy to fix it. They appear to in general not print things that are out of order for mono-color splits as of modern sets, but that could just be happenstance.
You may not win if:
1. The sacrifice doesn't really make sense mechanically/flavorfully.
2. The sacrifice looks stapled on.
3. You just shoehorned sacrifice in as an additional cost but it isn't reflected in the spell's effect other than to lower the mana cost.
4. It's a one-shot sacrifice for a spell effect.
5. Your card has an on-cast trigger that would be perfectly fine as part of the regular text.
AmShegar - I love the idea of dodge (note: I also love clash). That said, the sacrifice really looks out of place here. It's unfortunate, because I think this card would be great without it, but then it wouldn't meet the challenge. Part of my issue with it is that red doesn't usually interact with enchantments that much, and U/R's mechanical design space doesn't play there, so I don't get why she's sacrificing them aside from being on Theros. I think if she were WU, it would be spot on.
avatarz 1 - GIRL U SO FINE
Chemtrails - Cute! I like the "another creature" restriction, and I like the pseudo-modular on it too.
Caiaphas - Sure? This seems wholly unexciting to me until it's broken in half by tokens, at which point it's unfun.
Piar - This is fine, but feels somewhat undercosted to me.
Ink-Treader - Seals are unexciting to me. See #4. Path of the Geometer is too many hoops, but is cool in concept.
pstmdrn - It's mana fixing, but not thrilling. See #4.
mirrorentity - Where else would you discard it from? This is actually decent, although maybe too strong for Dragon reanimator? It's a good thing there aren't any Dragons with dredge.
avatarz 2 - I dislike that this is a super aggressive Invisible Stalker with vigilance.
AsianInvasion 1 - Love it. The fact that it both has evoke and yet also cares about other sacrificed permanents is an awesome extension of the ability and allows you to get extra mileage out of your evoke dudes.
xoqoatl - This is probably too strong with token generators. I don't like that it turns Acorn Harvest into Deep Analysis, for example.
avatarz 3 - This is probably fine. It's a little wacky with populate, but I'm not too concerned. I wish it was a Homonculus, though.
arbitraryarmor - See All is Dust. Mass sacrifice should not be a cast trigger. Also, see #5.
swishh - This is pretty cool. It wreaks havoc with ETB abilities, but otherwise fits flavorfully with both sides and is solid design.
willows - This guy is pretty cute, and I like the flavor here.
AsianInvasion 2 - Sure? One for All doesn't really feel black to me, but
void_nothing - This seems maybe too good? I like how it interacts with being annihilated, though.
SelesnyaNewLife - The sacrifice makes sense here, I think, but I don't think the spell does. It's too blanket of an effect to be a white hard counter, IMO.
Brofaux - The card is okay I guess, but the sacrifice feels stapled on to lower the cost and fit the challenge.
arbitraryarmor 2 - See Wanderwine Prophets. This feels far more oppressive.
Lapson2 - I like that you can entwine it, and its a reasonable card I would be happy to see in Limited. It doesn't really feel rare, though.
MagicBrains - This works. It's pretty much in the same wheelhouse as Voidmage Prodigy with a CMC restriction instead of a Wizard restriction, though.
Lumovanis - I guess? Why don't you just exile it as part of the cost though?
