Couldn't the Gods just turn into Eldrazi v2.0? (not that I didn't like the Eldrazi - I thought they were neato torpedo)
There's heaps of ways they could bork it up. (I may be missing some insider info that you're all privvy to though...)

I don't think you want this to be a replacement effect, as you may end up triggering it a whole lot of times in a row.

Just to hose Panglacial Wurm. I envisioned it to be a punisher version of Grafdigger's Cage (in part), so I added the library clause to punish any nefarious means of cheating things into play.
The initial version said "Whenever a creature an opponent controls enters the battlefield, if it didn't enter the battlefield from the stack, that creature deals damage equal to its power to it controller."
which was quickly changed to "Whenever a creature an opponent controls enters the battlefield, if it wasn't cast, that creature deals damage equal to its power to it controller."

I have some free time too if it's inconvenient for you, but yes, that's a great idea.
And it works basically like Shadow Realm - if you die in magic, you die in real life.
