That's impossibly cool.

I like the tie-in to manipulating time. Unfortunately the ability does nothing except in multiplayer, and even then I'm not sure it's that useful... Also I was really hoping for some flavor text for this challenge.
I haven't read this short story but it sounds really cool from the summary I found. There is probably some flavor nuance I'm not getting because I haven't read the piece, but this card doesn't seem very fun mechanically since it gives your opponent the same chance to mess with your library and its templating is a little complex. What's wrong with: "At the beginning of your upkeep, put a time counter on Cascade Point. UU: Look at the top X cards of target opponent's library, where X is the number of time counters on Cascade Point, then put them back in any order." I'd much rather play that card, and I don't think it's too backbreaking.
Did you mean for the first ability (and the life payment to turn it off) to last the entire game or just until end of turn? Seems weird. The second ability should probably be templated: t, put the top five cards of your library into your graveyard: Target opponent plays with his or her hand revealed until end of turn, and you may cast spells from it until end of turn. I see the flavor connection in the second "pwnage" ability but not so much in the life payments. I think you could have polished this card a bit more.
I love Douglas Adams, but there is no way this much text is fitting on a card. Maybe if we were playing Magic on the Heart of Gold, and I were a penguin.
Love the quote, but I don't really see how bringing a man back to life with science is the same as animating a lamp.
Talk about a Swiss Army knife. This guy would instantly become one of the most popular EDH generals. He's probably overpowered, actually. The indestructibility is probably too much. Players should have answers to cards as powerful as this one.
A legendary bureaucrat. That's something new. I love Asimov. You don't specify how much damage will be prevented, but other than that the abilities seem ok.
I guess there are Doctor Who novels. I love this. It really hits the nail on the head. (And you COULD use it to pound nails too, I suppose.
There are definitely Star Wars novels too! First strike and deathtouch is an incredibly powerful combination, and though I suppose it's a fine flavorful reflection of the power of a light saber, I think the player should have to jump through more hoops to build their own Jedi. Also I don't really like the instant speed equipping. Wizards stopped making abilities like that for a reason.
Fun! I get how the creature awakens the sand worm, but as templated it could never attack, since there is no defending player until after the creature attacks. Maybe: "Sand Worm can only attack a player who cast a creature on his or her last turn." or something like that.
Huzzah! I was hoping someone would do Philip K. Dick. Unfortunately this has really limited applications. Even "Destroy target creature if it is a copy of another creature" would have been more useful.
Great choice of source material. Unfortunately I'm a little unclear on why you would want to help your opponents cast their spells, even if it does delay them by a couple of turns. Or is it supposed to let you cast the spell? I'm a little unclear on how this would work rules-wise, since Suspend has only previously let the owner of the card exile it.
Ha! Now this is an infinite improbability drive I can get behind. Excellent work. You do need to remember to use "battlefield" instead of "play," though. I know, it's annoying, I don't like it either, but what are you going to do.
Another of my favorite series. Unfortunately this is pretty much the antithesis of fun. It would simply run the clock down. At least put the Nevinyrral's Disk drawback on it and give us a turn to find an answer.
Though it seems like a happy coincidence that "affinity" plays such a big role in both Magic and these books, I think you took an easy way out trying to represent Edenist affinity by just using Mirrodin affinity. It seems much more interesting and complex to me. Still, this is definitely a useful ability and I can see it being printed someday, if they decide to do more with affinity.
Interesting! Great flavorful representation of cold-pac, and a potentially very useful card.
You have a few templating issues but I give you credit for trying to represent something very difficult all on one card. The second ability would make more sense as "Each player gains control of each artifact creature he or she owns" to me. Also, I think you can get away with making it only benefit you without too much trouble. If you'd tried to represent The Zeroth Law I would've been really impressed.
Cute, but overpowered. It should cost more than the card's converted mana cost would otherwise be, like the other pacts.
Funny, in a Magic context his name sounds like it should be a Kithkin. The first modal ability is underwhelming, but I dig the xenocide ability.
Megiddo, destinytrigger, Rithaniel
I really wish I could have picked all three of the finalists, but in the end I just went with the card that seemed the most fun: destinytrigger's. Congratulations. And thanks to everyone for submitting some really well thought out cards.

Yeah, the books are at home, so flavour text was a little hard to come by. Also, if you can blink it, it ends up doing silly things in multiplayer (especially 2HG), which is part of the reason why it doesn't have an in-built blink ability.
