Thought Lyse3UB
Sorcery (R)
Target player reveals one or more cards from his or her hand and you choose one of those cards. That player discards that card, then you draw cards equal to the number of cards in that player’s hand which were not revealed.
Cipher
Stapler: Inner Reflections is a cute enabler, but doesn't fit well as a Cipher card because of how much setup is required for it to do anything. It's the kind of card that makes more sense with flashback.
swishh: Mechivore has the potential to be very confusing because it's a */* that can get additional +1/+1 counters on it. Additionally, these types of cards tend to require a slight mana investment to activate (Woodripper, Wickerbough Elder).
Crusader_8: I like the idea of a card that gives your other creatures transfigure, but the two abilities on Biomage don't have any synergy. Additionally, the name doesn't wow me.
Cythare: Indentured Tax Collector has cool flavor but is mechanically awkward. I think it would have been fine without its "no lifegain" drawback.
The_Cooler: Simic Accelerator is a simple design that does not play well. It leads to complex board states in which the power and toughness of each creature suddenly become relevant even when the creatures aren't in combat, which is more time-consuming that one might think, especially in a complex game. Also, the name feels more like an artifact than a creature.
arbitraryarmor: Maniacal Plans reminds me of Treasure Map from Dominion; if you can make two copies connect you win, but otherwise it's terrible. With The Unspeakable cycle, they at least were Arcane (and had slightly more unique effects as a whole); with Biovisionary, it at least has more potential interactions with Clone effects.
Small Child: Yay Turtles! Solid design, though I kind of wish it was a 1/4 (and cost 2U to switch).
ertaisfamiliar: Chargeleader Angel makes [CARD]Skyknight Legionairre
[/CARD] a :panda:. It also treads on Firemane Avenger's wingtips as a 3/3 Angel in RW with a Battalion trigger. Maybe if it costed more and was a little bigger?
ShockValue: Angel of Exploitation is well-named. It's pretty much impossible to beat in any sort of creature stalemate and even generates additional value if removed. Scary.
RogueNewb: The card itself is great but the flavor makes no sense. In one of the most hierarchical guilds, there is no reason a priest would have to enforce his own teachings. Compare High Priest of Penance with Basilica Guards.
Cardz5000: Harrowing Screams seems like a card that would see print in Dragon's Maze due to its slightly higher complexity. I am tempted to cost it at 2UB, but that might be overly oppressive. It should probably affect each opponent like Mind Grind.
Maokun: Escaped Experiment is scarily efficient. Additionally, it should give the targeted creature evolve if its Bloodrush ability is activated. Yes, that is a large amount of additional complexity. Unfortunately, that also means that the card is probably too pattern-breaking to print.
CC: Crypsis Sage is cute in that it can target itself or your other Evolve creatures in order for them to be small enough for other creatures to pump. I also like how good it is on defense, which is important in Evolve decks. The only awkward thing about it is that in the mana-hungry Evolve deck, it's difficult to keep up three or more mana every turn.
Prophylaxis: Secrets Snatching is an awkward card in that its keyword mechanic doesn't play nicely with it; other Cipher cards will be encoded on your creatures, not in your graveyard! It's bonkers in Commander but pretty underwhelming anywhere else.
avatarz: Boros Thrustmaster feels like a RW card, not a (R/W) one. Its ability is also surprisingly bad; in Limited it's rare that you'd have a fourth (cheap) creature to deploy, and in Constructed you'd rather play around Wrath effects than overcommit to the board. Good flavor, though.
Oculus: Informant's Web is a spicy meatball. I love everything about it and I think it's costed just right when compared to Diabolic Revelation.
AkaiRyu: Bloodplant Striker should give the targeted creature its triggered ability until end of turn if its Bloodrush ability is activated. Also, it's a Shaman Warrior with no race?
jwanders: Thought Lyse is a pretty cool card, though in every format except Limited, it's just a repeatable Coercion. It should read "opponent" instead of "player" so you can't target yourself to draw a bunch of cards. No IIW.
This was a tough one to judge, as Small Child, Cardz5000, CC, and Oculus all had great entries.
Winner: Oculus
Next: What would you have done differently?
In Dark Ascension, there was the 4 card cycle of 2-color monster lords. I would have added the GW Human lord in Avacyn Restored. MaRo always says that humans look to complete the pattern.
Gavony Captain1GW
Creature- Human Soldier (U)
Lifelink
Other Human creatures you control get +1/+1.
Whenever another Human enters the battlefield under your control, you may gain 1 life.
2/2
Hold the phones - transfigure, which puts creatures into play, supposedly has no synergy with evolve?
I give up. I should've just made some tier one broken plays-itself card for that challenge. I suppose that answers the question of what I would have done differently.

Seven Knights gathered under a single banner, but soon came to learn one more would join their cause.
@AI: I didn't see it purely as a drawback (although it definitely is one in a vacuum). I saw it as giving mono-black access to a Sulfuric Vortex-esque effect. Otherwise, makes sense.
I'll have to think about this challenge, though...
Sword of Life and Death3
Artifact - Equipment (M)
Equipped creature gets +2/+2 and has protection from black and from green.
Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, that player loses 3 life and you put two +1/+1 counters on target creature.

I used to be really sad that there wasn't a cascade, cascade card...then I was sad that there wasn't an Exalted, Exalted card or an exalted land... Hmm. If I was in charge, I would have made it so that more of the Future Sight cards were used.
So, in a world where Gravestorm was used in Innistrad, here's a handy little Gravestorm enabler.
Churn the Graveyards1BB
Sorcery-UC
Exile target creature card in a graveyard. Put 2 2/2 black Zombie creature token onto the battlefield. Sacrifice a creature.
Gravestorm.(When you cast this spell, copy it for each permanent put into a graveyard this turn. You may choose new targets for the copies.) A graf is simply a short stopover, rarely a permanent destination...
So, doubles your gravestorm count, and can turn some creatures into pairs of zombies, or make one zombie at a time.

He removed the trample from Wolf Run, maybe he thought it was too powerful?
