Man, I so fully agree :/ But there was no way I wouldn't make Bec unblockable, so blue was needed. On the other hand, green doesn't have anything to mechanically contribute to it. I wanted to make him 1GWWU just for the hell of it but I couldn't find any possible justification. On the other hand, I don't think it's undercosted at 5 CMC: Although it's nigh impossible to eliminate permanently, it's a legendary, rather slow clock that the opponent may remove from combat at will. Compare it to the similarly (but easier paid) costed Baneslayer Angel and I think it is not much better.

I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.

[1] a 4/13... hound? 4/13's are trees and epic-sized spiders. To keep in context, one of the largest Cyclopian creatures to walk ravnica is a 7/6. Also, power 4 is not small or weak by any means. 2 or 1 can be argued to be weak, but you can't walk around saying 4 isn't hurting anyone.
[2] unblockable-vigilance and the hound type do not clash mechanically or flavorfully, unless this is based on an actual character I'm unaware of. If he is a dog, he'd make more sense having first strike or a "can't be blocked by only one creature" ability. The vigilance makes perfect sense imo because he is a guard dog.
[3] pick one of these perks. He either punishes spot removal (heh, get it? Spot? Like a dog's name... *ahem* as I'm dragged out to the shed) OR is indestructible. But do you want him to be impervious or a wily animal who always manages to slip away? Having both isn't technically redundant but it's just uninteresting.
[4] when coupled with the run-away mechanic, this is ridiculous. You net a card and they lose a card every time they try to get rid of it. There's also many many more things out there this sick puppy (sick as in cool) could do to reinforce his flavor and still be awesome. Maybe whenever he leaves play, prevent the next 3 damage to you and scry 2 instead? You get obvious calculable advantages without any excessive card advantage problems, and it totally adds to the feel of the dog being able to do whatever it takes to ensure your victory.
[x] if I was on the design team and used my suggested tweaks, he could keep the same cost but be *much* smaller. Like a 2/3 or 2/4. I mean, he's CMC 4, and making him cost more to keep the p/t would rob players the chance to make his interesting guard dog abilities truly shine. So overall if I made this card I'd drop indestructible, make him 2/4 (which is a common style p/t for vigilance creatures), change unblockable to first strike, and change his enters-the-battlefield ability with the aforementioned leaves-the-battlefield ability and make the flicker and activated ability with a cost. That way an opponent can at least find solutions around its defensive capabilities.

Hey Don't worry about it. Player input and feedback is always appreciated. However, my card was a top-down design (the 4/13 it's a straight out reference, for example) from a character of a comic that both I and TC read. Mechanically might not make much sense, but I'd like to think that the flavour is spot-on. It is literally indestructible and unblockable because it has the power to transpose space at will (that's also why he cannot be targetted) and has vigilance because 1) It's a literal watch-dog and 2) it would be absurd for a creature with so much toughness to tap to attack.
The main hurdle that needs contention is its cost but I insist that in practice it wouldn't be too overwhelming. Also, by the end of its standard life, Baneslayer Angel was not even good enough to be played anymore.
