The blue Dense Plot seems seriously broken, then again it really only helps the second spell (i.e. the first spell played will never get an additional effect). But I could see someone playing Tidings and then following that up with Brainstorm or something. Could get really out of hand, especially with Ultimatums (play Cruel Ultimatum, then Peek or something to that extent gets really ridiculous. Also, Would it work with "X" spells... I don't think the X would be copied (the text would have an X, but when you play the cheap spell, you wouldn't have paid "X").... however if you have Conflagrate there could be some shennigans with that and another X spell... play Mind Spring, then flash back Conflagrate pitching your hand, then draw a ton of cards. I don't know, it's one of those cards that will be broken... Like Dream Halls so it should probably cost more, but I don't know if that would balance it enough. I wonder if you could get it interact with Epic spells. Have an instant imprinted on Isochron Sceptor then play a spell with Epic and every upkeep you get the Epic spell, then use Sceptor to make a cheap spell and copy the Epic spell... oh wait, Sceptor does say "You may play it" I thought it was copying rather than playing so maybe that wouldn't work. But anyway, ya got me thinking... 7/10 because it's undercosted and can be bra-oken.

well right now i'm just scared of this dark background.
that card is pretty ridiculus, but maybe a little thought on it is required, many new cards have seemed overpowered.. (many people wouldve rated cards like skullclamp and path to exile at 1 this can't be printed.) it doesnt really make a deck for itself and doesnt fit in many decks, not really that useful in way's i'd hoped but cool. also there are a lot of ways to win the game with it, difficult to accomplish sure but there are ways. 7/10

Hmm... I'm not sure what that effect actually does. What happens to the cards once they're turned face up? Do they stay in the library? Do they enter play? Does the shuffling turn them face down again? Does your opponent get to see the cards you turn face up? Also, it seems inferior to ponder or any other U deck effect. I'd say 4/10 - since I'm not quite sure what it does; though I'm sure if I did understand it I would love it!

your one is quite interesting, playing it for 3 is good, playing it for 5 becomes good, playing it for 7 becomes very good very quickly, still a 1/1 for a turn though.. 9/10
i've always though of akroma as being a off color big hasty trample thing you cant kill, and by the story she is a fantasy creation by a rather vain wizard.
so let me just make what i would in the situation.

As for your angel, 8.5/10. Doesn't quite fit with the novelization - but a very cool card and completely believeable. Fantastic in duels and gets even better in multi-player and she is very, very blue. The only reasons you aren't getting 10/10 on this superb creation are...
1: Not quite Akroma. It's more a collector of secrets than an avenging angel. Also a sphinx. If the prompt had been to make a sphinx, this would be perfect.
2: Overpowered, espescially in multiplayer. Seriously, an incredibly hard to kill 5/5 flier with flash AND an ability to get huge and draw you free cards? For 2UUU?!? That's competing with Serra's Sphinx. Guess who wins =). If it cost 2 more I'd be completely on board.
All that said, you should post this card in the single card design thread. Up the cost a bit and maybe change the flavor (more akroma or drop the akroma all together) and I'd nominate it for card of the month lickety split. =)

well, since no one else seems to be playing...
a little odd this one, its kinda something that seems unsynergistic in its abilities but both kinda fit with its flavor, of course the 2 creatures thing is nice with the nul-legendary and gives some synergy... oh my 2 arcanis' untap.. or kamahl. may i correct it and say "up to two other target creature's" cos going infinate with any other tap effect seems to ruin it..
a little more of a courage boost to your guys and it would be great.
now to do this with something simple rather than complicated would be very hard.... oh yeah 7/10 for your card..

before anyone else posts, define, "drawback". Because we can't realistically give a 1B 3/2 (espescially in BLACK) no drawback and still have it be fun. After all, it's allready pushing the power envelope as a vanilla and any extra ability would push it over the top... Unless it can have a drawback in addition to having deathtouch, unearth, haste or wither or some cool thing. I'm not really sure what there is to design here.
8/10 for your card btw. Since I'm not posting the enxt card I won't write a long evaluation, but it's fun and it fits the challenge well. The effect seems pretty red though. maybe RB instead of WB?
by no draw back i mean nothing that makes it worse than a 3/2 zombie for 1B, your could give it a conditional effect that sometimes makes it better or a small disadvantage in some conditions is not really a drawback as long as it is obscure enough you don't come accross it often. i agree the +X/-X mechanic is very red, in fact perhaps only red, but this has both players choosing and its ability to control the effect in a very precise way is very un- red (i am ignoring black/greens ability to 'control' red's outbursts (violent ultamatum)) it is a new take on the effect as permanent boost is a white thing (and perhaps green) and minus is a black thing. (oh yeah nameless inversion is a non-red +X/-X)
