This card is infinitely better than a forest, which wizards specified they would never do again. Interesting card, but it's BROKEN.
FoshM:
Unexplored Quarry
Land R
Whenever ~ becomes tapped it deals 1 damage to you.
As ~ enters the battlefield choose one - ~ is a 2/2 colorless Artifact Construct creature, or ~ has, "pay 1 life, : add one mana of any color to your mana pool.
The Quarry flashed and sparkled and skittered all abound.
Read wingedcoyote's eval, except ignore the colorless mana part and add a "it kills you too quickly" part. 5/10
Kensei:
Vesper Sanctuary
Land
Vesper enters the battlefield tapped.
: Add or to your mana pool.
:3mana::symw::symu:, : Put a 1/1 white and blue elemental creature token with flying onto the battlefield with "sacrifice this creature: choose one-prevent all damage that a source of your choice would deal this turn; or counter target spell with converted mana cost 2 or less."
This card is already really good without giving the tokens abilities. Once again, not broken enough to be "broken," but too good. 5/10
Megiddo:
Blazing Meteor
Land {R}
Blazing Meteor enters the battlefield tapped.
When Blazing Meteor enters the battlefield from exile, untap it. Blazing Meteor deals 3 damage to target creature.
: Add to your mana pool.
Suspend 3 — :1mana::symr:
It's red mana ramp. That kills the colour pie. Nevertheless, it's a good idea and a cool design, if not very awkwardly worded. 6/10
nope:
Mia'noa, the Cradle of Life
Legendary Land (Mythic Rare)
~ enters the battlefeild tapped unless you control a forest and a plains.
If ~ enters the battlefield untapped you may put 3 0/1 green white plant creature tokens onto the battlefield. Otherwise put 1 0/1 green white plant creature token onto the battlefield.
Whenever ~ becomes tapped you may put a 0/1 green white plant creature token onto the battlefield.
:symtap:: add to your mana pool.
:symgw::symtap:: add :symg::symg:, :symg::symw: or :symw::symw: to your mana pool.
:symtap:: Choose one-- Put x +1/+1 counters on target creature you control were x is equal to the number of green permanents on the battlefield or; gain x life were x is equal to the number of white permanents on the battlefield.
At the beginning of you upkeep if you do not control a forest, a plains, a green permanent and a white permanent, sacrifice ~.
Turn one, Temple Garden. Turn two, this. Need i say more? BROKEN
Phyrexian Editor:
Dig Site
Land
, Sacrifice Dig Site: Return a land card from your graveyard to the battlefield.
"A deep and long ravine has been excavated, and the river has required ages to accomplish the task, yet the same region affords evidence that the sum of these ages is as nothing, and as the work of yesterday." -Charles Lyell
Petrified Field 2.0. I like the idea, but not tapping for mana is really killer. 6.5/10
ericku:
Creep Bog
Land
:symtap:: Add to your mana pool.
:symtap:, pay one life for every two Swamps you control: Destroy target non-Swamp land. Its controller puts two Swamp token lands into play tapped.
"What a creep." -Kithkin Mitigator.
Turn one, this, target itself. BROKEN
bloodyspasm:
Gaping Volcano
Land (R)
Devour 2
~ enters the battlefield tapped.
: Add to your mana pool.
Remove a +1/+1 counter from ~: Choose one - ~ becomes a 1/1 red elemental creature until end of turn; or ~ deals 1 damage to target player; or ~ deals 2 damage to target creature.
I love this card's design. It's very intuitive, and the abilities work very well together. 8.5/10
Artificier Andy:
Port of Isryead, the Golden City
Legendary Land (R)
1, T: Look at the top card of your library. You may shuffle your library.
3, T: Draw a card, then discard a card.
5, T: Draw a card.
To me, this card should be an artifact. I hate lands that don't tap for mana. Sorry. 5.5/10
Caesarius:
Tower of Babylon
Land
: Add to your mana pool.
: Draw a card. Activate this ability only if you have exactly zero cards in hand.
Interesting take on the best land in magic. I'm still cared of repeatable card draw on a land, though. The fact that this would see play in almost every standard deck makes this card BROKEN. Just barely, though.
Hanslineman:
Biliken's Tomb
Legendary Land
: Add one mana to your mana pool of any type that any land in play can produce.
Sacrifice a creature: Untap Biliken's Tomb.
Sometimes at night you can hear him stir. It's whispered he offers gifts to those who sate his hunger
Reflecting Pool + Exotic Orchard + way to make four mana with sprouting thrinax? Definitely BROKEN.
Proginious:
Mana Stream
Land
:symtap:: add to your mana pool.
:1mana:: Tap Mana Stream and flip it.
//
Mana River
Land
:symtap:: add 1 mana of any color to your mana pool. Flip Mana River.
Great design. The card is playable, but not too good. 9/10
The Motley Fool:
Thoughtwound Pool
Land
When Thoughtwound Pool enters the battlefield, exile the top card of your library.
:symtap:: Add to your mana pool.
:2mana:, :symtap:: Reveal the top card of your library. If it shares a type with a card exiled by Thoughtwound Pool, put it into your hand.
Hmmm. Sort of like scrying sheets, which is what i assume you were alluding to. The card seems fun, if not a tad bit weak. I'm probably missing the fact that he's balanced repeatable card draw. 8/10
So, now i have a tie between Proginoius and GetItWrong. I'm going to have to go with
GetItWrong. Congrats, you're the new judge.

Next challenge: Pick one of the following flavortexts, and build a card with that text. I'll be forgiving on text box size.
1.A horse and a man: above, below:
One has a plan, but both must go.
Mile after mile, above, beneath;
One has a smile, and one has teeth.
Though the man above might say hello,
Expect no love from the beast below.
2.In bed above, or deep asleep,
While greater love lies further deep,
This dream must end, this world must know:
We all depend on the beast below.
Make a card called Long For This World.
Artifact - Equipment
Equip: pay 2 life
Equipped creature gains +1/+1, haste, and can't be blocked except by creatures with flying.
Equipped creature must attack each turn if able.
A horse and a man: above, below:
One has a plan, but both must go.
Mile after mile, above, beneath;
One has a smile, and one has teeth.
Though the man above might say hello,
Expect no love from the beast below.
I'd love input and advice!
Enchantment (R)
If a player would draw a card, instead he or she puts the top card of his or her graveyard into his or her hand.
In bed above, or deep asleep,
While greater love lies further deep,
This dream must end, this world must know:
We all depend on the beast below.
Enchantment
When Night Terrors enters the battlefield, choose a creature.
As long as that creature is tapped, Night Terrors is a 6/6 black Demon Beast creature with flying and shroud.
In bed above, or deep asleep,
While greater love lies further deep,
This dream must end, this world must know:
We all depend on the beast below.
If your answer is "No," then your morality does not come from God's commandments.
If your answer is "Yes," then please, please reconsider.
Creature- Elemental Horror
Shroud, flying, intimidate.
Gate: 3UB (2UB: Exile this card. It is now gated. Play this ability whenever you could play a sorcery.)
At the beginning of your upkeep, if Horror of the Blind Eternities is gated and there's a tapped creature on the battlefield, you may draw a card. Then, if there are 10 or more cards in your hand, you may put Horror of the Blind Eternities onto the battlefield.
In bed above, or deep asleep,
While greater love lies further deep,
This dream must end, this world must know:
We all depend on the beast below.
8/12
Flavor concept: A Cthulu-esque horror that resides in the dreams of the creatures of the real world, looking for a way to break out of the Blind Eternities. If an unwary Planeswalker meets its conditions for existence, it summons itself into the waking world.
Legendary Creature - Avatar Spirit
At the begging of your upkeep, put a truth counter on ~.
Remove X truth counters from ~, :symtap:: Each player sacrifices X permanents.
Remove 8 truth counters from ~: ~ becomes a 10/10 black demon beast.
3/4
In bed above, or deep asleep,
While greater love lies further deep,
This dream must end, this world must know:
We all depend on the beast below.
Multicolored millcards in something other than dimir.
World Enchantment (U)
All creatures gain "T: Put a steed counter on this creature. Activate this ability only any time you could cast a sorcery."
Each creature with a steed counter on it gets +1/+1 and gains Horsemanship.
A horse and a man: above, below:
One has a plan, but both must go.
Mile after mile, above, beneath;
One has a smile, and one has teeth.
Though the man above might say hello,
Expect no love from the beast below.
Creature — Whale Dreadnought {R}
Flying
2R,T: Cetacean Battlecruiser deals 2 damage to each creature you don't control.
2G,T: Creatures you control get +2/+2 until end of turn.
5/5
First flavor text used.
If I win: make more creatures that so far have only one creature of that type (suggestion: brushwagg)
Uncommon
Instant
Have target attacking creature deal damage equal to its toughness to target blocking creature, until the beginning of the next end step that creature's toughness becomes equal to its power.
A horse and a man: above, below:
One has a plan, but both must go.
Mile after mile, above, beneath;
One has a smile, and one has teeth.
Though the man above might say hello,
Expect no love from the beast below.
I am no wording guru, so I honestly had no idea how to word this. It's supposed to momentarily switch which of a set of two creatures is attacking and which is defending (in simplest terms.)
Creature - Beast Spirit R
Slumbering Omen is white and black.
Morph 3WB
When Slumbering Omen is turned face up, destroy all other creatures. They can't be regenerated.
In bed above, or deep asleep,
While greater love lies further deep,
This dream must end, this world must know:
We all depend on the beast below.
3/3
When I read the flavor text, I immediatly thought Morph.
Also, for the curious, you're pretty much required to play it face-down.
Make a "Mystic" creature card!
Creature-Elemental Incarnation(M)
Trample
Whenever Life and Death deals combat damage to an opponent, each player loses life equal to the number of creature cards in his or her graveyard.
As long as Life and Death is in your graveyard, defending creatures have lifelink.
6/6
In bed above, or deep asleep,
While greater love lies further deep,
This dream must end, this world must know:
We all depend on the beast below.
