Sorry for the double post. I haven't forgotten; it's my anniversary weekend, so I haven't had much of a chance to judge. I will try to get it in at least by after work tomorrow.
Scale:
Flavor: 0-5
Quality: 0-3
Balance: 0-2
...for a total of 10 points.
Xyre - Crack the Floor
F: 2 Seeing as how the thief didn't check the floor, it doesn't fit the flavor of the scene much.
Q: 3 No issues
B: 2 Reactive cards like this are hard to make broken, but easy to make bad. This is neither. Well done.
Total: 7/10
Alacar Leoricar - Fatal Mistake
F: 4 Fits the scene... almost. Not sure where the 1 point of damage comes into the scene, though.
Q: 3 No issues
B: 1.5 Nice spell, but can be easily defeated by a stray instant.
Total: 8.5/10
jaffarofarabia - Ignorance
F: 4 The effect doesn't really gel with the scene, but the flavor text is nice.
Q: 0 No spell type, poor templating, not a good card at all.
B: 1 Judging balance is tough when I don't know what kind of card it is. So I put it in the middle.
Total: 5/10
GetItWrong - Misplaced Confidence
F: 5 Perfect!
Q: 3 The reveal as part of the cost is iffy, but not bad enough to drop the score.
B: 2 It's a Seal of Doom that can hit players for life in a pinch. Sweet.
Total: 10 (Sweet!)
Pronigious - Ryjal, Trap Master
F: 5 The guy that made the trap. Good.
Q: 2.5 Morph first, then flip effect.
B: 1 Seems weak for a legend.
Total: 8.5/10
Krey - Master Trapper
F: 4.5 Like the Inventor creature type, but what's with the artifact recursion?
Q: 3 No issues
B: 1 Three words: Broken in Limited. With artifact lands in Extended, this essentially becomes BBBR,t: Destoy target creature.
Total: 8.5/10
ericku - Unlucky Fate
F: 4.5 Good flavor text, but the damage effect doesn't really fit anywhere in the scene.
Q: 1.5 The word "effect" doesn't have a place in Magic parlance any more. Should be "Counter target activated or triggered ability that..."
B: 1 Stifle was very powerful. This is a mostly reusable Stifle with a meaningless restriction at no increase in cost.
T: 7/10
Solarion - Cursed Gemstone
F: 4.5 Almost fits the scene, but the stone didn't get sacrificed.
Q: 3 No issues
B: 2 Solid.
T: 9.5/10
Shinobi - Thieving Puppet
F: 4 Like the flavor text, but the effect doesn't mesh with stealing an gemstone.
Q: 3 No issues, but I didn't know goblins wore makeup (i.e. Rogue, not Rouge)
B: 1.5 Shatter on a 1/1 stick. The cost is a bit expensive, though. Either remove the mana from the activation cost or drop the mana cost by :1mana:.
Total: 8.5/10
Lord_Kaos - Final Thoughts
F: 3 Nothing about the effect fits the scene. The name and flavor text fit, though.
Q: 1.5: Need the word "card" in the search clause; they're cards until actually played. Plus, the first effect is a run-on sentence.
B: 0 Buh-Row-Ken. Any true Johnny with an hour to kill will come up with at least 10 instant kills with this card. How about this: Darksteel Colossus (Creature), Lightning Greaves (Artifact), Anthem of Rakdos (Enchantment), Touch of Invisibility (Sorcery), One With Nothing (Instant). 26 points of unblockable damage. End of next turn? There won't BE a next turn! In Vintage, this is playable first turn. Not good.
Total: 4.5/10
So it looks like GetItWrong GotItRight this time. Your dice.
Definatly not arguing ;-) just curious - how would it have been if I had made the card like this (was my original concept, but I thought it might be a bit powerful)
Ryjal, Trap Master :2mana::symr::symr:
Legendary Creature - Goblin
When Ryjal, Trap Master is turned face up, destroy target unblocked creature.
Whenever an artifact comes into play, you may turn Ryjal, Trap Master face down as a 2/2 creature.
Morph :1mana::symr::symr: (You may play this face down as a 2/2 creature for . Turn it face up any time for its morph cost.) They always fall for it.
3/3

Better. You can push the envelope a bit on Legends, since only one can be in play at a time.
Huh. Legendary and morph is an interesting concept, both mechanically and flavorfully. You can play multiple copies of a legendary creature face down, an only turn one of them up. If your opponent has a face down creature as well, though, unmorphing your legend puts it at risk.
Anyhow, next challenge: Make a card that targets spells you control.
Twin :symg::symg:
Instant
Search your library for a creature card with the same name as target creature spell you control and put that card into play. Then shuffle your library. "Upon summoning the two headed beast, the wizard thought upon the old addage that 'two heads are better than one', then he thought why stop there." -Elven fable on the Consequences of Greed.
Sacrificial Exchange :xmana::symb:
Instant
Remove X target instant, sorcery, or creature spells you control from the game. Destroy target creatures equal to the amount of cards removed from the game with Sacrificial Exchange. "This exchange is too grueling and horrific. The sacrificed are torn into so many pieces that even I can not bring them back. And the spells used are so powerful that they could destroy whole armies.....and they do." -Vexen, Head of Necromancy
Simic Cloning CircleUG
Enchantment 1UG, Tap an untapped blue or green creature you control: When target creature spell you control resolves, put a token into play as a copy of that card. It's easier to duplicate something if you're watching it be made.
Riptide Regurgitator-:1mana::symu::symu:

Flying
Morph--Counter target spell you control.
When Riptide Regurgitator is flipped face up, name a card. The named card can't be played by your opponents.

Azorius Negotiator :2mana::symwu:
Creature - Vedalken Bureaucrat WU: Target spell you control can't be countered by spells or abilities this turn. Negotiations with the Azorius usually revolve around various permutations of the word "no."

Stitch with Flame 2R
Enchantment
You may play Stitch with Flame anytime you could play an instant.
Imprint- When you play Stitch with Flame, remove target spell you control from the game. (The removed spell card is imprinted on this enchantment.)
Whenever you play a spell that shares a mana cost with the imprinted spell, Stitch with Flame deals 1 damage to target creature or player.
Spellsaver Wizard 1UU
Creature -- Wizard
:symu:, :symtap:: Counter target spell you control. If that spell is countered this way, put it into its owner’s hand instead of into that player's graveyard. Spellsaver Wizards are often seen leaping into the midst of a flurry of magics to retrieve the gem in the chaos.
