Can someone sub in for Polendino in PYREDEATH or whatever they are called in my thread? I have no objection, but I forget which roles they are. Artificer and Warlock I think.
With the end of the month approaching, signups will close in 6 and a half hours from this post. After that, no new teams will be accepted, but any teams still in the Labyrinth or queue will be allowed to complete.
Well, as checking the score table, it seems it was better to play twice than to try to complete the game and resist as much as possible into the labyrinth. I mean, Socrates played at least twice and even with an almost perfect score, nobody would have been able to reach his score. It is a little dissapoiting...
Also, to avoid having a team more than a week/ten days inside, it would have been cool to have the organizers working in the four courses simultaneously (at least checking to be able to interfere in case of a course getting stuck.
Beside that, it was the more exciting game i've ever played here.
EDIT: May be it would be allowed to give it a last try for those who entered just once or zero times? Just an idea.
I must agree with BB. First this is a fantastic game to play. Then, because not just Meg, but also ourselves, took some time to reply, we have been inside the entire month. I'd like to try other rooms for sure. And, of course, we have been prejudiced for not being able to participate in others (we couldn't signup again because we were still inside, although in final room).

I'd guess not. I loved this game, the only thing I'm sad about is the fact that my second team (Team I'M-ALL-ALONE :p) never got a chance to compete. I thought we'd have a great time. :DXD

Well I sort of agree, but it's difficult enough to run as it is and the upcoming Pro Tour makes the time restrictions for this month even tighter. There are some things I'd do differently if I was to run this again (for example making your overall score best-run instead of cumulative), but it is what it is for now

I dunno. Mine and Kool Koal's scores resulted from a single run-through of the cookery, and I know for a fact that I got nowhere close to the max number of points on a regular run-through, plus we unlocked no secret rooms. I could be possible.

Ok, let's don't take an isolated case. (Anyway 80something isn't the same as 100something) It isn't the same to run the game once than twice in a cumulative score table. That's the point, not to see if reaching 100 points is possible with a single run or not.
I just would liked to have the chance of clasiffying with this game, but waiting for entering the first time, plus Megiddo having to face RL in a way that delayed the game, made the ones in my team almost impossible to classify (not to mention the ones who seated aside during two of the rooms, wich used to be the same player -hello, qeensauce-)
My thoughts on this are that maybe it would be better to just have ~10 rooms (3 days per) that everybody would complete in order. It could even have some sort of complicated weaving action with a couple of progressions (like Routes A, B, and C) that would give you choices, so Room B2 could open into C3 or A3, for example.
I don't know if it is worth trying to preserve the team mechanics, that seemed like one of the big weak points, the other being that 24 hour turnaround is just too fast for most people.

You SHOULD run this game again, without a doubt. As said before, it has been the most exciting game in a while.
Also, GM's suggestion is a good start to chat about the Labyrinth 2.0
EDIT: Anyway, GM, as one who intervened as a player, I should say that having to work as a team was one of the best parts of the game.
As long as we're making suggestions for next time, I'd like to suggest that many of the levels' difficulty be dramatically increased. During my team's run through many of the puzzles could be solved using only one or two cards resulting in situation in which the third person's card was redundant or completely unnecessary which in turn resulted in a lower overall score. If the difficulty was increased (perhaps by making the situations more complicated) the redundancy problem should be solved as each of the cards would be necessary to complete the level...

^This.
Most times we can answer the room with a sweeper or stuff like that. It becomes really hard to create a 3/4 card combo to do the same as one card. It leads to inelegant solutions and loose plans, lowering our scores.
About suggestions: I like the idea of having X rooms, all connected. After all this is a labyrinth. Each room would have like 3 doors/passages, leading to 3 different rooms. This also allows also cycles, like A->B->C->A (it's a labyrinth, so you can lose yourself inside it). We could get to know that door N is not the correct one by hitting some score.
And this should be with teams!

If this happens again, nay, make that WHEN this happens again, I would like to have a hand in helping run it. Design a few challenges. Guide a few teams through. Judge, make a team wait :p.
Probably the most imbalanced, done-wrong part this time around was only having one judge for each entrance. One judge giving the score for a round was alright. But when a judge would go missing for a while...
And also, I noticed the highest scores all came out of the Pyramid. Designing and judging the overall labyrinth(s) should be more of a group effort for the organizers. Just saying.
So I'm guessing the groups that are in the threads now are basically the last for a while? Is this going to be a series every other couple of months or so? Seriously this is an amazingly fun thing for my group.
