Now it's time we get to the good stuff. This is how rounds are going to go for now on. I'm going to give three choices (or tasks) and you are going to choose two of them to do. Once in a while, the third task will be more difficult, but comes with a reward.
*T*A*S*K*S*
Task I: Create a noncreature, non-planeswalker spell that showcases your race's laws and/or beliefs.
Task II: Create a noncreature, non-planeswalker spell that showcases your tactics for war and/or battle.
Task III: Create a non-planeswalker spell that showcases how you will deal with your archenemy. If you choose this one, the flavor text should describe how you feel about your archenemy.
RULES
This should include AT LEAST one of your mechanics or themes. Cannot be vanilla.
It should include flavor text.
It can come from any point in your race's history, except the future.
MUST BE YOUR RACE, but can target other races.
If you have complications with this round because of your race, please send me a private message.
ADDITIONAL RULES
At most, one can be rare. No mythic rares. No planeswalkers.
Round 1 Results will be posted on Wednesday (hopefully) when everyone finishes their reviews (hopefully).
BATTLE
Team Evolution fights Team Lividus
Greymarx (Mundus) vs Caverna Kelthian (Rimeshade) vs Daesseclus Lrin (Lordshuft) vs Espion Lucidii (Bpy6) vs Laminar Rosar (Froxbite) vs Lisandarian BTeebeedee (PachoPonceN) vs Xironaxi (PsiJet) B

BARCHENEMY BATTLESB
TEEBEEDEE(PACHOPONCEN) VS XIRONAXI (PSIJET)
The Teebeedees love having fun, they don't care about intelligence or perfection. The Xironaxi find them to be one of the most imperfect beings in the plane. The Xironaxi's mission is to make everything perfect, and in doing so, they will "redesign" creatures.
PachoPonceN: Make a creative use of the experience mechanic.
Xironaxi: Make a creative use of the redisgn mechanic.
ILLIKA (DOOM LICH) VS RENDREN (GARGROYAL)
The Rendrens are quite the explorers. They go all over in order to discover the truths behind every creature and sight. However, they are not ones for danger. Some have been known to kill themselves just to defeat their foes. Their greatest enemy are the Illika. The Illika are plants that hide in the forests, capturing Rendren and feeding them to their offspring.
Doom Lich: Your task is to design a card that deplicts one of the Illika with the ability to capture.
Gargroyal: Your task is to design a card that deplicts a Rendren reacting to getting captured.
(By deplicts, I'm talking about flavor or art. For example, if I said "deplicts a creature bursting into flames", you could use Combust or Magma Phoenix. You can describe the art if you want to clear up the meaning of your card.
Reminder: There's a discussion thread. Please use it.
So, Lynx, what's the archenemy this round? Edit: Well that answers my question... Get go 'em Xironaxi, you've got Lividus behind you! Just remember what will happen if you fail
Daesseclus Infection1GUB
Tribal Instant-Daesseclus {U}
Put a time counter on a creature blocking or blocked by a Daesseclus you control then exile it. It gains Suspend. As it enters the battlefield you gain control of it. It is a Daesseclus indtead of its other types. "Remember, as the last of your conciousness fades, that your flesh is host now to a greater being. Rejoice, for your sacrifice will mean more than your life ever did." -Hesta the Origin of Hunger
Envymourn Parasite3GB
Creature-Daesseclus {R}
Trample, Slaverdriver 2 (When you play Envymourn Parasite put two 0/1 colorless Slave creature tokens into play.)
Envymourn Parasite has Devour X where X is the amount of life you lost last turn plus the amount of life your opponents gained last turn.
0/0 It is at the core of every Daesseclus to take from those who have, their nature necesitates it, some, however, embrace this truth more than others.
The Envymourn Parasite is designed to deal with the Scallomourn's mechanics of AggravateBackswing and Lifelink. Aggravate and Backswing are both designed to increase damage done while Lifelink increases life total, both of the things that causes the Envymourn Parasite to become an unstoppable monstrocity. Personally, I find the irony delicious. The race that has worked so hard to drag themselves from the depths of despair will be forced back into it by their own ambition.
Holder Task I: Create a noncreature, non-planeswalker spell that showcases your race's laws and/or beliefs.
Protecting the Weak2:symrg::symrg:
Enchantment R
All Rendrens with converted mana costs of 3 or less have defender and +0/+3 The young, the old, the injured, and the inexperienced are kept in the village for their safety as much as everyone else's

Archenemy: design a card that deplicts a Rendren reacting to getting captured.
Burst of FuryXRR
Instant
Target Rendren gets +X+X until end of turn, with X equaling no more than 4
At the beginning of the next upkeep, target Rendren gets -Y/-Y until the end of turn, where Y equals half of X, rounded up. Rendrens avoid their own deaths however possible, even straining their bodies to extremes, but it comes for everyone eventually
NOTE: Burst of Fury only targets 1 rendren, the one that is first targeted
Task I: Create a noncreature, non-planeswalker spell that showcases your race's laws and/or beliefs. Retirement2W
Enchantment — Aura {U}
Enchant creature
Enchanted creature can't attack or block, and its activated abilities can't be activated. 2RR: Destroy Retirement. Any player may activate this ability. "He likes to think of it as an extended vacation."

Instant {C}
Target creature gets +2/+0 and gains first strike until end of turn. If it has defender, it loses defender until end of turn. "Stand back, Lanmilla, I can't see where I'm swinging!"
—Reste, the Blind
Artificial Nature - 2BGG
Sorcery (R)
Destroy target artifact. Target artifact's controller reveals cards from the top of their library until they reveal a creature. They may play that creature without paying it's mana cost. It's an artifact in addition to it's other types. Out with the old, in with the new.
Task II
Crustacean Defenses - 1U

Create a non-planeswalker spell that showcases how you will deal with your archenemy. If you choose this one, the flavor text should describe how you feel about your archenemy.
Shell-Smasher Hammer 2
Artifact-Equipment U
Equipped creature gets +2/-1 and has "XX,Q: Remove X +1/+1 counters from target creature."
Equip 2 "Twisting and bouncing it skitters and scutters across Caverna carapaces. Such a delightful sound, justice being imposed on the mindless."- Argaz, Strong Father III
Task I: My race believes that suffering is a waste of the moon's gift of life.
Misery's End1B
Instant {C}
Destroy target creature that was dealt damage this turn. Whitecast — If W was spent to cast Misery’s End, exile that creature instead. The Taravin consider living in pain to be a sin, and will willingly help all sinners return to their goddess’ side.
Task II: My race's battle tactic is swarming the opponent with tokens.
Rites of Propagation1G
Instant {U}
Until end of turn, if an effect would put one or more tokens onto the battlefield under your control, it puts twice that many of those tokens onto the battlefield instead. An unusually large number of Taravin eggs are lain during the lunar cycles following large battles.
Planned Heist2UU Instant (U)
Fateseal 2, then scry 2, then draw two cards. (To fateseal 2, look at the top two cards of an opponent's library, then put any number of them on the bottom of that player's library and the rest on top in any order. To scry 2, do the same using your library instead.) "Watch, plan, steal. Nothing is sacred, and everything is yours."
- Espion motto
(there's never been a card with both scry and fateseal, so I made up what would probably be the terminology for a card with both. Contagion Engine did something similar with proliferate, and there are probably other action keywords that did the same.)
Task 2
Psychic Intensity4UB Sorcery (U)
Each opponent returns a creature he or she controls to its owner's hand and puts a card from his or her hand on top of his or her library. Outwit - Name a card. Target opponent reveals his or her hand. If he or she reveals the named card, you draw a card and gain 4 life, and that opponent loses 4 life. "I know exactly where it is, what you're planning, and when it will all go down. I have the upper hand, and I will annihilate you."
Redesign <cost> (Pay <cost>, Sacrifice <cardname>: Put a creature card from your hand on the battlefield tapped with the converted mana cost equal to or less than this card’s redesign cost.)
Script of Redesign3UB
Enchantment (U) Imprint — When Script of Redesign enters the battlefield, exile a creature you control.
All creatures that share a type with the exiled card have “Redesign X”, where X is equal to that creature’s converted mana cost.
“No matter what the cost, we shall obtain ultimate perfection.” — Article I, paragraph II of the Originae Scriptures.
Script of Elimination1UB
Sorcery (U)
Replicate :symub::symub: (When you cast this spell, copy it for each time you paid its replicate cost. You may choose new targets for the copies.)
Destroy target nonartifact, nonblack creature. It can’t be regenerated.
Draw a card.
"Your death wasn't in vain. It has indeed helped us discern your worth to our cause." - Trylik, Originae of the Sky
Beware TeeBeeDee's! The Xironaxi are sending something at you that is gonna eats you in its mouth!
From the depths of the Stitcher's Circle and coming after the TeeBeeDee's, the Xironaxi send one of the big guns to take care of the situation:
Arshend, Sky Rector 3U
Legendary Creature - Xironaxi Druae (R)
Redesign 2B
If Arshend, Sky Rector is redesigned, all creatures target player controls gets -X/-X until end of turn, where X is equal to the number of creatures in your graveyard. TeeBeeDee’s were the bane of the Xironaxi. Instead of attacking them head on, a more...deadly approach was necessary.
3/2
Please use the link in my signature as a reference for flavor.
My race is a complicated one.
Task I: Create a noncreature, non-planeswalker spell that showcases your race's laws and/or beliefs.
That's a little difficult considering that each of the three groups of Orgs are a little different in laws/beliefs. I'll go with the Xenorgs since I've showcased them the least.
Blood OfferingBBB
Tribal Instant - Org UC
As an additional cost to play Blood Offering, sacrifice a creature.
Search your library for a black mask with converted mana cost less than or equal to sacrificed creature's toughness, then put it onto the battlefield. You may then equip it to an Org creature you control. "Ourrr masssttterrr mussttt be pleassed. If only he is contentt caann he consider gifting usss with his powerr." - Xenorg Elder
Task II: Create a noncreature, non-planeswalker spell that showcases your tactics for war and/or battle.
Orgs fight utilizing the power of various masks (see more in sig link), as you all know. Masks are the center of their societies.
Bone-hungered Mask3B
Artifact - Mask Equipment UC
At the beginning of your upkeep, if a creature did not die last turn, sacrifice a creature.
Equip BB
Equipped creature gets +2/+0 for each creature card in your graveyard. Some hungers are best sated.
Note: Due to the [Masked] ability that my creatures have, it is easier to have a creature with this mask than you might think.
Drassikull AscendancyRW
Enchantment (U)
Tap an untapped creature you control: Target creature gains lifelink until end of turn.
Tap three untapped creatures you control: Aggravate damage dealt to target player this turn by 1. (If damage would be dealt to that player this turn, that much damage plus 1 is dealt instead.) "We cannot escape our rage, so we must rage more sublimely than the cacophony that created this world." - Kynti Deadbone, bishop of Fort Gevnizar
Bishop of the Bleak ArsenalWBB
Creature - Scallomourn Cleric (R)
Whenever a creature an opponent controls blocks or becomes blocked, you may remove all counters from it. If two or more counters were removed in this way, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control. "Your armaments are dross! Your faith is ashes! Your souls are dust!"
2/2
Ward of Growth1UG
Enchantment (U)
At the beginning of each player's upkeep, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature that player controls. If a tool is invented, or an idea discovered, it is one invented or discovered for all.
I H8 ARCHENEMY (task 3):
Tangling Canopy1GG
Instant (C)
Prevent all damage that would be dealt this turn by creatures with flying. "How would you stop a glory seeker but by making them unable to achieve?"
- Silax Vor, Lisan Shaman
Flavourfully hating on the flying ravens by stalling them and not letting them get their glory. Damage prevention hurts mechanically in a very similar way - preventing damage completely blows you out of the water if you've Inspired a lot of guys or have guys with short lifespans/low toughness.
Hymn of Wisdom 2UU
Instant (U)
Draw two cards. Spellspark—If you had cast another instant or sorcery this turn, draw three cards instead. "Upon vivid melodies, Skyweave shines,
Giving us wisdom on harrowing chimes."
—Sapphire Revels
Task 2
Dance on Fireswept Dunes3RR
Instant (R)
Until end of turn, creatures you control get +2/+0, first strike and must be blocked if able. "We have survived these sands for generations. If any blood is to be spilled on these dunes, it will be at the end of our blades."
—Vinrai, Combat Dancer Artisan
Reminder: (Touched = A permanent that is enchanted or has a mana counter on it)
Task I:
1) Touch of the Tranquility1G
Enchantment – Aura U
Enchant touched creature.
Enchanted creature can’t attack or block. “Those who truly understand the beauty of the natural creation, will never be able to hurt a living thing” –Niari saying.
Task II:
How does a rather pacifistic race like the Niari fight? Will here’s one answer:
2) Touch of the AdeptsU
Instant U
Return target creature to it owner’s hand. If that creature is touched, you may draw a card. “Our beloved forest does most of the work for us. All we have to do is channel its powers”. –Sifar Tala, The Arcmage.
Instant (U)
If G was spent to cast Pay Homage, put two +1/+1 counters on target creature. If W was spent to cast Pay Homage, untap target creature and prevent all damage that would be dealt to that creature this turn.
Purity- If all mana spent to cast Pay Homage was the same color, copy it. You may choose new targets for the copy. (Colorless is not a color.) When a tribe reaches a new destination, the leader pays their respects to its guardian spirit in the hopes that the land will lend them its strength and energy.
Battle Tactics
Energy Flare3RW
Instant (C)
Energy Flare deals two damage to target creature or player. Put a +1/+1 counter on each attacking Vitrion you control. Battle-trained Vitrion mages use flashy spells designed to spread large quantities of excess mana across the battlefield for the weary soldiers.
Task II: Non-Creature, Non-Planeswalker spell that shows the Corvite strategy of war. Corpse BurningR
Instant (C)
Corpse Burning deals 1 damage to target creature or player.
Whenever a Corvite creature you control dies, you may cast Coup De Grace from your graveyard. "It doesn't matter if you were a Man, God or Hero: your body will fuel the fire on which the world burns."
Task III: Because **** the archenemy. Trueblood Slaying1B
Instant (U)
Destroy target creature that was turned face up this turn.
Draw a card "Their shells and facades may be fragile, but their true form bleeds a prettier color."- Karis, of Flight Indigo
I have about 10 minutes on the computer before I have to get off for 2 more days, so I'll post up some prelim ideas.
Societal Beliefs Progress through Consumption
Archenemy Curiosity's Bane1BB Creature - Illika (U)
Deathtouch, defender G,T: Exile target creature card from an opponent's graveyard. Curiosity's Bane fights target creature. Some hunters know instinctually how to manipulate they're prey's vocal chord, letting out a scream for help to lure in more fodder.
1/3
I really wanted to do this without using incite because I don't want to colorbleed that into green just yet.
