Alright, my critiques are done. I'm sorry I'm late but I moved to a place with no internet and only now I could find some time to go to a cafe. :/
For everyone who wondered why my legend was green: "Morphing" is a very blue-green kind of thing, and that's what the dragon's first ability does. In addition, I wanted to make my legend colours' those of the initial concept he champions.
There's really no need to be condescending. The majority of the people in this top 8 are consistently some of the best card designers on this forum. And to imply that since some "mistakes" were made that those designers don't "know how the rules work" is ludicrous. Not every design each person puts forth is golden and mistakes will occur.
I think you're being a bit oversensitive here. He wasn't being condescending, he was giving a very direct and clear opinion of the overall quality of the submissions and that's what we're called to do as critics. I disagree a bit, as I only considered a couple submissions really subpar, but still it's a valid opinion and not condescending at all.
I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.

I'm fine with someone saying the overall quality of submissions in a given round are low. But his last sentence came off as really condescending. I mean c'mon, people are gonna make mistakes every once in a while. That's no reason to say, "well, I thought you actually knew the rules, etc. etc. etc."
Btw, I'm not still trying to pick on NightArcher or anything. Just explaining why I said something to begin with.
I think it would have been better to have slightly more convoluted wording if it made the ability actually work. It probably would have worked if you had something like 'tap target land you control. That land becomes a 2/2 creature until eot. That creature becomes an attacking creature.'
You're probably right. "Becomes an attacking creature" just sounds so weird to me, though. But at least it works (I think.) Better than what I decided to go with, obviously.
Asking out a girl is like trying to cast a first turn Necropotence. Sometimes the other player will have the Force of Will to say no. You shouldn't let that stop you from trying it.
ROCKET POWERED TUBRO SLUG vs. NIGHTARCHER
I guess Slug's Knight only triggers the blocked guy once, but it is strange. I think I like your Tribal mechanic better than mine, but it doesn't feel terribly green (I know, forestwalk).
NightArcher has half-wither and a "grows with -1/-1 counters" guy. I dislike the math on that guy but maybe he is doable as a legend. Obvious theme but there is a disconnect in how they make counters.
KOOPA vs. MAOKUN
I like the "when you splice" trigger. Splicing a dude onto a dude makes that guy have the first guy's ability forever? Seems like a neat concept but a bad memory mechanic.
Somewhat unclear about the need for a counter on the shapeshifter by Maokun. The Dragon is pretty cool, I sort of wish he made spells target all the guys he had copied.
ASRAMA vs. JIMMY GROOVE
I've been interested in the mechanics of attaching myself, interesting play with that here by Asrama. Not sure if it could pan out at a set level, but CCL mechanics rarely can.
I like simple printable commons, and the Lich variant is crazy. Classic Groove, feels mythic, but maybe needs a drawback?
Rocket Powered Turbo Slug

And congrats to Dragoon, I haven't had much time to think about cards lately but I'm satisfied with the set I came up with based on my less-than-inspiring choice of white tribal stuff. Thanks to Darkfire Games for good hosting, sorry to have been late pretty much every round!

Good job NightArcher! You've pretty much swept this round.
