Would it be possible to create a small thread with a compilation of advice to newbie players on what NOT to do during the FCC? I think it would lead to the improvement of card production which is what we all want, isn't it? Maybe some mods, or past winners could help contribute advice for the new players.
P.S Shep didn't put up the art policy like kraj does so I won't penalise the people that are entering for the first time but please read the rules
What art policy are you talking about? If it's the "must give proper artist credit" one, that's not just an FCC rule, that's site-wide and the render should be deleted from their post.
As always, send your concerns via PM. Just so you know, December is not a good month for me, so don't PM me to complain. I'll only respond if I misread your card or I goofed on my math.

You're more than welcome to.
I feel like that's the kind of post that would be best as a sticky or addon to the FAQ. A thread floating about the first page that needs periodic bumps to stay there wouldn't do much good. I think an FCC advice thread would be a good idea, but it probably would be most useful if a mod started it and then other people contributed.

I usually just give the artist's name rather than their website. For example, the well known Genzoman. Most people put simply GENZOMAN in the artist credit, which is incorrect. You can indicate Genzoman at deviantART, which is acceptable. I go with his real name, Gonzalo Ordoñez, which I got from his deviantART page incidentally. I keep a folder of card art but I don't have the relevant links to the artist's galleries because much of what I have came from the old PBG art thread. I hope that a link to the artist's website won't become mandatory in the future.
A link to the art source is not mandatory. My rule of thumb is that if I can take the text you put in the artist credit box, put it into Google, and find the web presence of the artist who owns it, then you've given proper credit.

:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o MY F****** GOD!!!!!!
... I feel so... Disapointed of me and so... Embarrased.
Its really funny and sad the way I messed up this month's FCC.
When I checked the gatherer to see if there was any precedent with "Destroy EACH DAMN creature with CMC 3 or less.", there was just the white command. OF COURSE! I used "all" instead of "each" (how could I comit a SO STUPID mistake! I'll never know...)
About the CMC for that effect, in fact, now thinking it better, I feel they made it right with Culling Sun (and if I'm not wrong, it seem some play in SBs), because it isn't strightly worst than Wrath/Damnation. It could be a 1 sided wrath effect in the right deck (something really big that couldn't be with global wrath effects).
The thing is... I overestimated my skills when made the card (in 10 min). Worried a lot about how to justify the art with the stupid flavor (and you're right, I didn't felt satisfied enough, but I said "hmmm... hmmm... it's OK.), didn't checked the "obviously simple and unmessable rule text"... An astral conjunction made me forget about the stupid ravnica's block card and type the wrong stupid word in the lovely gatherer. HOW COULD I FORGOT ABOUT Culling Sun!!! HOW COULD I USED "all"!!!! I hate myself... HAAAAAAAARGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!
...
Good luck to all those didn't made stupid mistakes and moved on.
Thanks for your words guys
Is just that I can't completely swallow the fact that a tinny mistake provoked a domino effect that ended in making a completely unbalanced card that even it had an identical precedent... And was just... a word!
Void Devourer :5mana::symb:
Creature - Horror {U}
Delve (You may remove any number of cards in your graveyard from the game as you play this spell. It costs less to play for each card removed this way.)
Void Devourer gets +1/+0 for each card removed from the game.
-2/2
According to Moss_Elemental, the wording of my card results unclear. He showed the card to another person, and that person came to the same conclussion.
I wanted my card to get +1/+0 for each card removed from the game, regardless of how that card was removed, but both M_E and the other person get the wrong idea of my card counting only the cards used to pay it.
Is the wording unclear and it should be errata'ed as M_E suggested, or the card is fine? If the wording is wrong, please tell me how to make it better.

I took it to Woapalanne, and he says it should be "CARDNAME gets +1/+0 for each card in the removed-from-game zone."

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
though not too sure why it's sarpadia as I thought that place was destroyed .... could be wrong.
According to the wiki:
Thousands of years later, during the Phyrexian Invasion of Dominaria, it was rumored that the metal demons of Phyrexia met insurmountable resistance from the thrulls in Sarpadia.[3] The Phyrexians, soundly defeated, believed that if the thrulls ever fully realized there is life beyond Sarpadia, Dominaria - and indeed, the Multiverse - may be in imminent danger. Around the same time, some thrulls begin to appear on Phyrexia and Rath, though these were far more docile than the Order's variants, suggesting that Yawgmoth and/or the Evincars managed to perfect the secret of their creation
I read that and know I had to make a card from there. (though, I do not know what happened there in Time Spiral)
I love the idea of going back to places that we have not seen in a while. I have always wondered what Baron Sengir was up to. I think it would be cool of wizards if they went back and 'redid' some of their more crappy sets, like Fallen Empires and Homelands. (or The Dark, or Arabian Nights, or even Legends)
I think at this point people would buy them because most people have forgotten how bad they really were, and it would be cool for us old timers.
I would love to see Ulgrotha or Sarpadia done with modern power level cards.

Really, Fallen Empires is my favorite set in magic (Its the set that I purchased the most of when I first started playing magic) so I second these sentiments. I've always gotten a kick out of the fact that of all the places in Dominaria, the place where the Phyrexians hard the hardest time was Sarpadia.
Homelands didn't get as much love from me, but both locations are full of flavor and have already established personalities/histories to work with. Cave Stormer(s) for instance, from Sarpadia never saw print. What kind of thrull would be very effective against goblins? How would that fit into black? Etc, etc.
For the 4th time in last 2 pages (about 300th time ever), No there isn't and the more people complain the less likely judges are to do it next month , meaning less people get to play.
Infact only people who have judged before should really comment on this issue as being a player is far far far less time consuming.
I've been on both sides of the spectrum (as you have too) and I find that I try to get them done within 3 days of the round closing, and normally judges don't really read this thread to find complaints about how slow they're judging. You should be happy that they are judging and not expect them to cater to the players since they are volunteering their time to do this as well. I am more than happy to correct myself if I am wrong, but having people complain about how long I am taking to judge I find absurd unless they are judging themselves. Plus you don't know what goes on in our daily lives. Like I got really busy at work yesterday and today, so I just barely got them up.
By the way my judgings are up here. All comments, concerns, and flames please send by PM.

Thx Clemency for awesome sig
As is the case with every round of the FCC, it takes as long as it takes. That's about as definite as we can give you.

BB, don't fret. It happens ALL the time. It tends to happen less as you design more cards, but even then, you still get zinged from time to time.
But it was enjoyable to read your regret (in the form of 16 smilies and an outburst of hargh-ishness), even if I can all-too-well commisserate.
Good luck to you in the future, as well.
We all make mistakes. Just learn from them and do better next round.
I know how upsetting it can be to make a silly error, but as long as you learn from it, everything will be fine.
Just breath man!
Sasky for the Sig.

Cards in the Sideboard aren't removed from the game, since they aren't in the game at all.
Those are considered outside of the game, so it would not interact with Chabli's card.
