Trickster Thief enters the battlefield with a Hexproof counter on it. U, Remove a Hexproof counter from Trickster Thief: Copy target Instant or Sorcery spell. You may choose new targets for the copy.

Just wanted to make use of ability counters in a way like this; it comes down with hexproof and may copy something now or on a later turn. Don't know if the stats on it are all that relevant but I could see it being a 3/2 or a 2/4. Maybe the activation should also cost U in addition like on Glen Elendra Archmage, but it only has one shot at copying something? There's some infinite blink shenanigans that could happen as well, but maybe that's okay.
Edit: I think I'll add the U activation because of spells that copy creatures. CMC reduced by one to make up for it
I think the copy effect should probably be 1U or UU since it can copy anything. That effect is usually 2 mana and a card, and here you're just losing hexproof on a creature that's already worth what you paid for it.
Cost aside, this is a really cool idea and there's opportunity for this to be a neat cycle. Green creature spends a trample counter for +X/+X, etc
Reminds me of Barkhide Troll. Kind of like Paradise Druid too- protected until it gets its ability out.
Nice idea. Execution looks reasonable. Mana cost for the ability might be a little cheap at the moment but I could see a 1 mana cost maybe working out.

Creature - Dog B: Monstrosity Deathtouch. (If this creature isn't monstrous, put a Deathouch counter on it and it becomes monstrous.)
2/2
Might as well add this idea while I'm playing around with ability counters (Which honestly I'd be happy was an evergreen mechanic)
Basic draft common style, but wanted to use Monstrosity in this way. Even thought about Monstrous -1 Deathtouch granting a -1/-1 counter as well but that's a little too goofy for even me.
