This is part of a cycle of Guild Fuse Splits. I started with one called WU Truth // RW Justice, though I haven't figured out their exact effects yet. This one came pretty easily, though.

Create X colorless Treasure artifact tokens with "T, Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color", where X is the total life you've gained this turn.
Fuse (You may cast one or both halves of this card from your hand.)
Art concept: Fame depicts a Rakdos celebrity being mobbed by ravenous groupies. Fortune depicts a greedy, grinning Orzhovan kingpin surrounded by gold coins.
I like how Fame and Fortune each work well with their respective guilds in addition to synergizing with each other. Fame can deal damage to an opponent, which lets you cast spells for Spectacle costs, and Fortune rewards life gain with loads of Treasure, ideal for Extort cards.

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Individually the effects are neat and in-character for their guilds, but I question the utility of actually fusing this particular card. 5RWBB and one of the effects is ramp? What could possibly be ramped into after that point?
Yeah, the Orzhov half of this card could definitely have 1 or 2 CMC shaved off. It's a harder piece of mass treasure creation to use than Brass's Bounty, which itself is pretty overcosted, and it doesn't do anything else, unlike Spell Swindle.
Mechanically, Fame sounds like a card that would be much more at home in Boros than Rakdos, given that Rakdos is generally much less concerned with gaining back self-inflicted life loss than mono-black is. Boros, by contrast, is the (Sun)home for draining burn spells. Counting creatures further increases the Boros feel.
Fame draws from Massive Raid, a monored effect. The life drain is added to make the card feel more black, and to better tie in with Fortune. Fortune could be tied to life lost by the opponent that turn, but then it doesn't feel white. Yeah, Fortune could work off number of creatures like Fame, but then there isn't direct synergy between the two halves.

I know where in the color pie you got the functions of fame, but my comment was about Rakdos, the guild, having lifegain effects at a much lower rate than black, the color. There are only two lifegain cards with a Rakdos watermark, one of which has its controller lose life at a faster rate than the lifegain.
What if Fame itself creates creature tokens, and Fortune gives you Treasure equal to the number of creatures you sacrifice? That way, Fortune also plays nicely with Haunt and Afterlife, and feels more in-color for black.
