So a long time ago when I was first getting into MTG, back in Invasion-Odyssey standard, I used to have a really bad GWU turbo-fog deck with Holistic Wisdom and Questing Phelddagrif as the win condition. I was thinking about Holistic Wisdom recently, and got the idea for this card:
Allsoul
Tribal Artifact Creature Enchantment Instant Sorcery Planeswalker
(Nonexistent mana costs can't be paid.)
It's all card types except land, since I think then you could play it without a mana cost. Designed for Holistic Wisdom, but also possibly useful for Tarmogoyf and Delirium...and maybe other applications?
I find it odd that a card that does something inspired a card that does nothing. A card that is actually all those types is a rules nightmare that you don't even want to begin considering. While an ability that says it counts for all types is strange but possible.

Effects from spells and abilities count ~ as an instant, sorcery, enchantment, creature, tribal, planeswalker, and land card. Its anything and everything you could need. Provided you don't need it to do anything.

It might want an actual mana cost so it can sit on the field and pretend to be something. But even without one its at least as good as Darksteel Relic
Yeah, actually putting permanent and non-permanent types into the typeline is a rules crossfire that you do not want to walk into, and tribal needs an accompanying subtype.

AS it is, it can be aether vialled into play.
No, it can't:
"304.4. Instants can’t enter the battlefield. If an instant would enter the battlefield, it remains in its previous zone instead."
"307.4. Sorceries can’t enter the battlefield. If a sorcery would enter the battlefield, it remains in its previous zone instead."
Since it's both an instant and a sorcery, it can't ever enter the battlefield, it would be safe to make it a Land too, since these rules would prevent it from entering the battlefield, though I think attempting to play it would still use your land play for the turn, so it might not be advisable.
I think the danger is having a single card that maximizes Tarmogoyf and Emrakul

The ruies implosion this card will generate isn't worth the novelty of making it.
