Just as the title says, a RGW legend designed to capture the spirit of Christmas.
NAME, Bearer of GiftsRGW
Legendary Creature - Elf
If one or more tokens would be created, each player creates that many tokens instead.
At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player exiles the top card of their library. That player may play that card this turn.
Whenever a player taps a land for mana, each player adds one mana of any color. Until end of turn, players don't lose this mana as steps and phases end.
3/3
It only seemed appropriate to make this a hugs commander that benefits everybody. Red usually struggles to play nice in Magic, but providing its own brand of accelerated draw to every player seems like a good choice.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Black could include Scrooge. There could also be WB Spirit tribal. (Ghost stories used to be a huge part of the Christmas season; A Christmas Carol is a holdover from that.)
It's too bad Goblin King is a card; a goblin king could be the Lord of Misrule. (Another old Christmas tradition.)
Obviously, blue could frost things and would have elementals like Jack Frost and Old Man Winter.
You could also do the Magi: Melchior (gold, white), Balthasar (frankincense, red?), and Casper (myrrh, black).
Enchanted Forest has "2RR, t: Untap target creature and gain control of it until end of turn. That creature gains haste."
(Feels awkward, but mistletoe is a parasite that infects trees, so, I'm going with it.)
Victim of Night must be included, though, just for the other way It's a Wonderful Life could've ended.
And of course, Angel tribal, for Gabriel and Clarence.
Elf tribal is another one, but now there are also blue elf artificers.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

Is it weird that I'm liking this idea?
