Asha, Alara Archangel
Mana Cost: 2GWWU
Power/Toughness: 4/5
Legendary Creature - Angel
Flying
Whenever Asha, Alara Archangel attacks alone, all creatures defending player controls must block Asha, Alara Archangel this turn, if able.
Whenever a creature you control that's attacking alone becomes blocked by one or more creatures, exile one of those creatures.
When Asha, Alara Archangel dies, you may search your library for a noncreature enchantment or artifact card with converted mana cost 5 or less and put it onto the battlefield. Then shuffle your library.
Sword of Asha
Mana Cost: 2W
Legendary Artifact - Equipment
Exalted (Whenever a creature you control attacks alone, that creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn.)
Whenever equipped creature becomes blocked by one or more creatures, destroy one of those creatures.
She absolutely does not need protection on her card; the rest of your deck exists for a reason and she has actual abilities aside from her protection unlike Sigarda, Host of Herons.
Her first ability needs to specify "all creatures defending player controls".
"Your opponents can't cast spells with the same name as a card exiled with Asha." needs to be a separate line of text as per Godsend.
I'm assuming she's designed with commander in mind. It's worth noting that if a commander is returned to the command zone rather than being put into the graveyard then they have not 'died' and any "when this creature dies" or "whenever a creature dies" effects will not be triggered. Even with this limitation, the last ability is monstrously broken in commander. It seems like she's intended to grab her sword, but with no limits on mana cost people are actually just going to grab Omniscience or Overwhelming Splendor. Essentially this means you're starting the game with a 6 CMC card in your command zone that says "counterspell or I win". Killing her off once you cast her is trivial, even in Bant colors.
You might want to go with "When Asha dies or is put into the command zone, you may search your library for a noncreature enchantment or artifact card. If that card's converted mana cost is 3 or less you may put it onto the battlefield, otherwise reveal it and put it into your hand. Shuffle your library." 3 is high enough to grab most good auras and equipments, and is much more reasonable for her casting cost. You could also use "leaves the battlefield" if you don't like the explicit mention of commander, but that's more abusable.
As it stands, the equip cost on the sword can probably also be 1, since it's blatantly weaker than any of the Sword of X and Y cards despite the color requirements. You could also just make it stronger.
Thematically...
Her first two abilities make her feel like Rafiq of the Many, but with a Godsend attached. That's fitting since she's a Bant character, so points there. I know she's a pre-established character, but it would be nice if she has a title to help establish a theme for people not familiar with the character (like me!). Her last ability, on the other hand, feels very different from the rest. I'm under the impression that the intent is to help her find her sword; adding the "CMC 3 or less" would also help tie that together.
The fact that she makes creatures block her is very much at odds with her flying. I would change the first ability entirely, or maybe just replace both of her first two abilities with "Whenever Asha attacks alone, you may exile target creature defending player controls." since that's more or less the end result. If you do then you should also probably change her sword slightly.
Just to clarify what the deal with Asha is in terms of theme:
Asha was a prominent angel that fought Malfegor before Alara was split up into its shards. She lost and died, but managed to banish Malfegor to the part of Alara that became Grixis. This is why her first two non-keyword abilities work the way they do, and why she's 4/5. Even with the exalted from her sword, she's within range of being killed by Malfegor via combat damage, but she can't kill Malfegor that way.
When she died, her legacy became her sword (which Rafiq used to kill Malfegor for good), the empty throne and other elements of Bant's culture. That's why she fetches enchantments and artifacts when she dies. Elspeth gave Rafiq flying in his effort to kill Malfegor, which is why the sword itself doesn't grant that.
