As long as the owner of Nemesfém controls a Wall, he or she may cast Nemesfém from anywhere he or she can see Nemesfém at any time he or she can see Nemesfém (including from outside the game).
[7/7]
EDIT: Changed Reality Mirror's wording from "an opponent controls" to "you neither own nor control".
The rares are the standouts here, but what the hell is Nemesfém doing? Can you, officially, see your sideboard in-game? Cast him from the battlefield?
lol, figures. I agonized over the commons / uncommons for days and came up with the two rares in about the span of five minutes.
I'm gonna stand by them in any case. They might not be splashy but I think they're what they need to be.
Yep, you can cast Nemesfém from the battlefield, the stack, your library while you're searching it, exile, your graveyard, your sideboard, the bottom of your shoe, whatever. As long as you control a Wall. At least that's the idea. I'm sure somebody will tell me why it can't work.
If you're asking me to explain the flavor... uhhh... let's just roll with it for now.
I don't mind Nemesfem mechanically, but the flavor doesn't connect with Photrus imo. How about:
Each Wall you tap while casting Nemesfem pays for 1 or one mana of that Wall's colors.
or
Nemesfem costs X less to cast, where X is the total mana cost of Walls you control. (Mana cost include color.)
I'm not doing something like that because that would make Nemesfém too similar to Katus Rextugenos, a design with which I am currently quite happy. Heck, I'm worried that Nemesfém is treading a little too close to my proposal for Grazseyela Macdomhnall, that's how much I'm obsessing about keeping the Elder Dragons distinctive.
But, here's the deal. I early on lamented that I had no killer ideas for Nemesfém. The four words "Wall Tribal Elder Dragon" don't make much sense together, and I know it. I tried about a dozen different iterations of Nemesfém that were some combination of Aurification and Humility, but they all turned out oppressive, underpowered, and/or (worst of all) unfun. So I said, screw it, I'm just going super weird with this design and we're gonna see what happens. So, here we are.
IMO, the worst thing about the current Nemesfém is the Wall tribal clause, which sticks out like a sore thumb. Like, why is that even there? So, right now, I fully expect that if the rest of the mechanic sticks, it's going to lose the Wall tribal thing, be shifted onto another mythic design besides Nemesfém, and I'm going to come up with an alternative design for Nemesfém. That's why I'm not sweating the flavor stuff right now, because I imagine the design is going to completely change. And while I don't want another cost-reduction Elder Dragon, I'm still hoping to hear some more proposals for this guy.
The other two cards here that I find somewhat problematic are Mazeshift and Map of Photrus. I love what Mazeshift does, and I am proud of the flavor, but let's be honest, "creates a Wall token" is kind of a cheaty way to do Wall tribal, and I'd entertain better ideas. I just don't want two blue commons that force you to draft other Walls before they work, which is why this design has been a hard nut to crack for me. As for the Map, this was originally monored (costing 1R), and I still like it better as a monored design, but IMO it was scary strong, a little out-of-pie, and really there just wasn't room for it unless I bumped it up to rare, and I didn't like it at rare. So making it the UR uncommon seemed like a reasonable compromise. Maybe it falls short of the original ideal, but that's the price of squeezing it into the frame, here. However, if you can suggest a different approach, I'm all ears.
I love all of these especially Nemesfém, I don't think the 'can see' wording works. I'll ponder on that to see if anything better exists.
Reality Mirror, is the only card I have any problem with here. It is too easy to just keep trading this back and forth for the same creature which is annoying game play. I suggest Conjured Currency wording to stop this, yes its a lot of text but on a rare with only defender its fine.
2t: Exchange control of Reality Mirror and target non-wall creature you neither own nor control.

Pneumatic Wall - Mechanically perfect. Flavor of name sounds too modern/sciency. How about Scaffold Wall?
Tear Down - Perfect.
Mazeshift - Could be a 0/3 Wall that Time Ebbs. But I'm guessing this is a nonpermanent slot. Does this have to be Wall related?
Wall of Gabions - Fine as long as it does what it's intended to do.
Dinner-Crew Pilferer - Also fine. It feels very contemporary to me though.
Reengineer - Perfect.
Map of Photrus - I like everything about this except that it's a Wall. Can it be an enchantment?
Reality Mirror - I'm not sure about this. The flavor is a wiff for me. Also - and I could be wrong - but when I imagine playing it, it just seems wacky but not fun.
Sadistic Folly - Another flavor wiff for me. But it seems like a quality signpost rare.
I just realized what Wall of Gabions is doing. Thought a gabion might be an elementary particle. Turns out it's a structure used in wallmaking. Yo dawg, we herd u like walls so we gave you a wall made of wall stuff so you can wall while you wall.
The give-defender thing doesn't really work for either Nemmy or for the theme, but I want a legendary Hyve member that turns things into Walls.
Nemesfém is supposed to be a cloistered scholar, right? So maybe something like this?:
Nemesfém 3WUBR
Legendary Creature — Elder Dragon [M]
Flying
Whenever Nemesfém deals combat damage to a player, shuffle Nemesfém into your library and draw seven cards.
[7/7]
The shuffling here is meant to mirror his self-imposed exile into the lower depths of the maze (provided I'm remembering that part correctly) and the draw seven just seemed like an obvious Bolas/Ugin homage and an appropriate bonus.
