Cool idea, narrow application; this effect is probably not even worth one mana, so it could cantrip easily.
Name is also wrong flavorwise: Demolition Derby seems more appropriate.
While the effect may be situational, the ability to remove two of your opponents' permanents is worth more than one mana; see Blood Feud and Dissension in the Ranks. It should be costed at least 2R.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I sort of glossed over the part where you don't have to target a Vehicle you control. But you're right; this could be a 2-for-1, so best adjust the cost. It's still not crazy strong, though; it's usually a lot worse than your average Into the Core in its strongest application.
Needs to be put on a land named Thunderdome or Carmageddon a la Arena though

"Two target Vehicles become creatures until end of turn. Those Vehicles fight each other."
You might even be able to shorten it down to "Two target Vehicles become creatures until end of turn and fight each other".
I still think anything below 3R is too oppressive for an environment with Vehicles in it.

I want to point out that you should be wrong, there, but by a quirk weren't.
Yeah, if you just write that they "become creatures", they are no longer artifacts (or any other type), and have their vehiclehood suppressed.
But if you read the Crew ability, it says they become "artifact creatures", which lets them keep the Vehicle type. And, as was pointed out to me a while ago, any other types and subtypes they may have. Like if you copied a vehicle with Copy Artifact, it will continue being an enchantment while crewed.
And so I think yours should also say "Artifact Creature", no?
Yeah, it should turn them into "artifact creatures" like the crew ability and Start Your Engines. Then they retain their subtypes.
205.1b Some effects change an object’s card type, supertype, or subtype but specify that the object retains a prior card type, supertype, or subtype. In such cases, all the object’s prior card types, supertypes, and subtypes are retained. This rule applies to effects that use the phrase “in addition to its types” or that state that something is “still a [type, supertype, or subtype].” Some effects state that an object becomes an “artifact creature”; these effects also allow the object to retain all of its prior card types and subtypes.
I would still keep it as two sentences though, because one effect is until end of turn and the other happens once.
Two target Vehicles become artifact creatures until end of turn. Those Vehicles fight each other. (Each deals damage equal to its power to the other.)
Thanks for the correction. Vehicles remain Vehicles when they become artifact creatures, but they do not have any creature types, because Vehicle is an artifact type. If an effect were to change them into non-artifact creature, they would not have the Vehicle type.
Right?

You could still say "those creatures fight each other" since you just established that they became creatures.

Its late and I can't be bothered to look for the exact rule that applies. There are cases where a descriptor is used to identify a permanent previously established earlier in an effect, and that effect will still work even if the permanent no longer matches the descriptor. The example that comes to mind, if you use something like Gruesome Encore to temporarily reanimate a creature card, but the creature is somehow changed into a noncreature permanent, the "If that creature would leave the battlefield" replacement effect will still continue to apply to the now noncreature permanent. Any of a variety of different wordings could be valid, so unless there are a lot of previous examples just use whichever sounds best for that particular situation.
