I['m] ponder[ing] to make a niche standalone Planar Magic set focussed on a handful of planes with a few preconstructed decks.
The current battle plan: There will be four planar setting of Magic's history chosen as most interesting options.
For each setting a planar deck will be conceived entirely comprised of plane cards from that plane and possibly phenomena that fit the plane thematically. This will include as many reprints as are viable and any number of new cards.
For each setting there will be one or two theme decks based on people/factions of the chosen planar setting e. g. an Azorius deck for Ravnica or a Geist deck for Innistrad. The faction decks and planar decks are designed with synergy in mind - favoring interesting, flavorful and fun interactions.
For this I want to choose planar settings that lend themselves to unique twists on what can be done mechanically e. g. I'm convinced I will use at least one of Lorwyn/Shadowmoor and Mirrodin/New Phyrexia to make use of the fact that one setting has multiple planar types there (see again here for a way this might be used).
I'm searching for any interesting ideas and mechanics what to do with exsting settings to settle on about four of them to use for this project.
Kinsbaile
Plane - Lorwyn (P)
Whenever you cast a creature spell, spawn two 1/1 white Kithkin creature tokens.
Whenever you roll , spawn a 1/1 white Kithkin creature token. Then transform ~.
/// Kinscaer
Plane - Shadowmoor (P)
Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, each opponent loses 2 life and you and each teammate of yours gains 2 life.
Whenever you roll , each opponent loses 1 life and you and each teammate of yours gains 1 life. Then transform ~.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."
