For Dreamscape of Noctus
Been working on a new set idea for a little while as I've not been happy with progress on Exodus from Zendikar.
May not end up actually crafting this into a set but definitely been interesting designing these.
Daze Slicer1U
Creature - Human Rogue (C)
Dreamwalk (This creature can’t be blocked except by tapped creatures.)
2/1
Reality Cavalier4W
Creature — Human Knight (C)
Whenever Reality Cavalier deals combat damage to a player, exile target card from that player’s graveyard.
3/4
Fading Slumber2U
Enchantment — Aura (C)
Enchant creature
Enchanted creature doesn’t untap during it’s controllers untap step.
Enchanted creature has “At the beginning of your upkeep, if this is tapped, put the top card of your library into your graveyard.”
Inspiring Horrors3B
Sorcery (C)
Scour 2 (Look at the top two cards of your library. You may put one of those cards on top of your library, put the rest into your graveyard.)
Target player discards two cards.
Nimbus of Fury3R
Creature — Elemental (C)
When Nimbus of Fury enters the battlefield, target creature gains haste until end of turn.
Flashback R(You may cast this card from your graveyard for its flashback cost. When it enters the battlefield, exile it.)
3/2
Dream Weaver2GG
Creature — Spider (C)
Reach (This creature can block creatures with flying.) Trance — You may have Dream Weaver enter the battlefield tapped. if you do, it fights target creature with flying. (Each deals damage equal to its power to the other.)
2/4
You need a "when it enters the battlefield" on Trance. As in: Trance — You may have Dream Weaver enter the battlefield tapped. If you do, when it enters the battlefield, it fights target creature with flying.
Daze Slicer: Interesting. Not sure how I feel about Dreamwalk. I think it would be better as a stand alone ability instead of a keyword.
Reality Cavalier: Underpowered. I would slash it down 4 mana -- it's still only constructed playable at that, but it's about common power.
Fading Slumber: Ooh, I like this. Like Reality Cavalier, it's really only constructed playable at best, but that's a pretty awesome effect.
Inspiring Horrors: Okay, this is kinda cool.
Nimbus of Fury: See above.
Dream Weaver: I agree with the person above -- trance seems like a cool mechanic, and this card is a good use of it.
Nimbus of Fury - This probably wants new mechanic instead of using Flashback. I can recommend you mechanic I designed previously: "Resurrect X (You may cast this card from your graveyard for its resurrect cost. If you do, it’s exiled when it enters the battlefield.)"
Flashback requires only a tiny rules change to work with permanents AS DISCUSSED HERE.
This is preferable to a newly named mechanic as I want regular flashback cards as well. Having two nearly identical mechanics is a bit redundant so I simply expanded flashback.
