Vlaed, Agony Scourge 5BB
Legendary Creature - Vampire Spirit (Mythic Rare)

Whenever an opponent loses life, you may gain that much life. "I can smell their blood, hear their pain, and feel their agonies from across the world. Who is to punish me for satisfying my senses?"

I've wanted to do a Mythic Rare Legendary Vampire for awhile now. I've finally come up with a worthy effect for such a daunting creature. Vlaed is essentially Exquisite Blood on a powerful body, with two relevant creature types and evasion. Here are some other notes on Vlaed.
* I've considered making him Black and White, especially for Commander purposes. That would more or less just open up Commander possibilities, but other than that it wouldn't do much for me. I'd like to push mono color Commander decks.
* I wanted to add regeneration or some type of revival/resurrection ability, but for the sake of keeping things elegant, I decided to leave him blank for now. Perhaps if I can think of something simple, he will get protection. I am imagining something like -- At the beginning of each end step, if an opponent lost five or more life this turn, you may return Vlaed from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
* The name is kind of a shout out to everyone's favorite draconic scourge from the real world, Vlad the Impaler. Although Vlaed would likely be much more charming and elegant in his revelries, the name is still a good bit of flavor.
As always, tell me what you think! I enjoy all comments, questions, and discussion. Thanks!
Seems fine. Windbrisk Raptor and Angelic Skirmisher are similarly costed, with the whole flying creatures + lifelink thing. Something a little extra might be nice to push it to mythic. How would you feel about ...

At the beginning of each opponent's end step, if no player other than you lose life this turn, that player loses 5 life.

You get life whether your opponents feel like attacking each other or not. Maybe some kind of rattlesnake ability instead (if an opponent dealt damage to you this turn...)? Just something more exciting than Exquisite Blood on a stick.
Thanks! Those are neat, they're up for consideration. What about something like this?

That seems good. My one complaint is that "return from graveyard to battlefield" abilities aren't particularly exciting in Commander, since you already have the Commander exile-and-recast ability. Although you can return Vlaid for free and thanks to your opponents, so I still think it's pretty cool and multiplayer friendly.
That's what I was thinking. It's an alternative free cost, and it can activate even if an opponent dealt damage to another opponent. Also, playing your Commander out of other zones is a common thing. I play Skullbriar out of the graveyard a lot. Ties in flavor fully with the ability to come back to life when they taste the blood or flesh of the living. Good for spirits and vampires. Thanks for the help!
