Just something I was throwing around in my head. The idea of a flavorful bonus to make planeswalkers like you and emblems that can effect opponents.
Kather Titonus 2WW
Planeswalker - Kather (MR)
Favored - If you gained five or more life this turn, Kather Titonus enters the battlefield with an additional loyalty counter. +2: Gain life equal to the number of tapped permanents you control. -4: Put two 4/4 white Angel creature tokens onto the battlefield with flying. -12: You get an Emblem that has "Creatures you control have vigilance, flying, first strike, haste, trample, protection from black and protection from red." (2)
Arcanis, Omnipotent2UUU
Planeswalker - Arcanis (MR)
Favored - If you drew three or more cards this turn, Arcanis, Omnipotent enters the battlefield with an additional loyalty counter. +1: Look at the top three cards of your library, you may put them back in any order. -3: Return target permanent you control and target permanent you don't control to their owner's hands. -9: Target player gets an Emblem that has "You can't draw cards." (3)
Ranna, the Silent1BB
Planeswalker - Ranna (MR)
Favored - If an opponent controls no creatures, Ranna, the Silent enters the battlefield with an additional loyalty counter. +1: Target player loses 1 life and draws a card. -2: Target creature gets -3/-3 until end of turn. -8: Target opponent gets an Emblem that has "Creatures you control get -5/-5." (3)
The Charred OneRRR
Planeswalker - Charred (MR)
Favored - If you've taken four or more damage this turn, The Charred One enters the battlefield with four additional loyalty counters. -1: The Charred One deals 2 damage divided as you choose among one or two target creatures and/or players. -4: Target player discards two non-land cards and is dealt damage equal to their converted mana cost. -X: The Charred One deals X damage to target creature and X damage to you. This damage cannot be prevented. (5)
Anjos Treefriend3GG
Planeswalker - Anjos (MR)
Favored - If you control a creature with the greatest power, Anjos Treefriend enters the battlefield with an additional loyalty counter.
+1: Put a 2/2 green Wolf creature token onto the battlefield. -2: Search your library for a land card and put it onto the battlefield tapped. -7: Reveal the top ten cards of your library. You may put any number of permanent cards from among them onto the battlefield. Then put all cards revealed this way that weren't put onto the battlefield into your graveyard. (2)
The red one comes in with four. If you made it each upkeep you'd have to scale the loyalty to make the ultimates cost a lot more to compensate.
Yeah, so the suggestion is to do that. I'd put it as an end of turn trigger. You could even have no + ability that way, e. g.:
Arcanis the Inevitable :2mana::symu::symu::symu:
Planeswalker - Arcanis (MR) Favored - At the end of each turn, if you have drawn a card this turn, put a loyalty counter on ~.
[-1]: Tap or untap target permanent.
[-2]: Return target nonland permanent to its owner's hand.
[-8]: Target player draws a number of cards equal to the total number of cards in each player's hand. You control that player during his or her next turn.
[[3]]
etc.
It's an interesting variation on the way a planeswalker plays.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."
