Shadji, Calisto’s ArchmageU Legendary Creature — Djinn Wizard
Grandeur — Discard another card named Shadji, Calisto’s Archmage: You may play an activated ability of a spell or permanent you control without paying its costs. (X is 0.)

This is interesting, but I'm fairly sure it makes a few things bonkers. As worded, you can Mindslaver someone without popping it (not paying any of the costs includes not having to tap and sac it, remember). Then you can either pay retail and pop it to do it again, or just get rid of another one of these from your hand while being virtually untapped and able to defend yourself in case something (Stifle?) happens.
I think we can say that this kind of card would be borderline rare for various reasons.
I got a few complaints that it was broken because when you combo this with other cards it will have that effect. Maybe, there is some kinda additional cost I can add to balance this, what do you think?
door to nothingness would like to have a word, so would a lot of planeswalkers (free ultimate baby yeah!).
Door to Nothingness is the card that someone in another forum was complaing about. The free planeswalkers is a good one too, I thought that would actually be the best, but only really is best with Jace, because most super abilities only are good one time and don't have much effect a second time, I really love this ability so I am going to find a way to make this better.

The abilities your are speaking of that are only good one time are actually the better ones, since your opponent should be dead if you manage to use them once.
I think Jace would be one of the best ones... because now you have to splash blue or waste a spot on something to produce blue just for a chance at one move. The best ones are really Bolas, Vol and Chandra. For a move like that, they all good, and this is a great way to do something like that now that I have fixed it. I think its a great Johnny card.
the card is unprintable as it is, get your Activation of Ajani Armageddon and you win the game, getting the insane token of Ajani Avatar token, the planeswalkers are ALL better than Jace (as the only reason for the mill is in decks that really "win" with it).
Anything else, you might get a random extra activation, hopefully of an allready good effect.

Being a 1/1 for a singel blue is incredible junk, and the only reason is to combo with this cards Grandeur, which is a bad design point to start with.
Being a "djinn" it might be a lot bigger, so the Grandeur really kicks in.
In the end its "grandeur" and this ability has a lot of problems, as it forces the player to run 4 of the legend, and its overall very random.
It might work better if its just an High Wizard that eats other wizards to get an "copy" of an activation.

:symu:, Discard an Wizard or Djinn from your hand: Copy an triggered or activated ability.

Allready strong creature with a usefull ability to get more out of your cards.
Ok, well listen here, the card must stay on the field long enough for you to get another copy of this one in your hand, then you have to have a card with an ability to play, next you have to have another copy of this card to even use the ability, all this narrows this down a lot, and you will build your whole deck around that one move, that make this very printable and fair as is.
I disagree with that assessment. Just hold two in your hand, then drop one and discard right away.
So, what about just reducing part of the cost, like so:
Shadji, Calisto’s Archmage 2UU Legendary Creature — Djinn Wizard Grandeur — Discard another card named Shadji, Calisto’s Archmage: The next activated ability you play this turn costs you 7 less to play.
3/4
Or your original idea: Shadji, Calisto’s Archmage U Legendary Creature — Djinn Wizard
Remove ~ in your hand from the game: The next activated ability you play this turn costs you 7 less to play.
1/1
Still bad with Mindslaver, but you'd still have to tap and sac it. Also, dodges the planeswalker issue. I'm sure there's something that could be broken this way, but this helps a lot.

I don't like that one, I am not trying to give X costs a benefit. I already have a card for that, it is in Aeon Origins, check the last page. Getting two copies of a card in your opening hand is a 7% chance and the odds don't get much better with the draws, so you have to add support and it becomes a deck strategy involving many cards.

But it's relatively useless with thigs that have colored costs or costs like graveyard cards or discard...
