My partner keeps making really boneheaded choices like not playing a terramorphic expanse on the first turn when they have no one drops or playing cheaper creatures even if they don't have instants to keep their mana open for. Is this a way to make PW difficulty harder?
Would you care to elaborate this? I didn't noticed cheating by the AI or anything unfair in that regard.
Every AI in Planechase are with 2~5 cards on hand, lots of open mana, I topdeck a Mystic Snake. And they all go a full round without playing a thing. Hard to believe it doesn't cheat.

Nothing. All I want is Heroes vs. Monsters spoilers.
Krenkos deck is beyond broken anyways, its basically a top end legacy Goblins deck, by far the best deck in the game. And it comes with the base game! Plus the free unlockables make it even more broken.
Realistically he should only be unblockable without equipment
Guard 1: There goes a sword floating down the street!
Guard 2: Well, he's unblockable, so ignore it.
Eat your greens kids, omnath does, and it makes him strong....

But yes, I do agree that the game cheats.
