Game Summary
Each player is one of the seven members of the GYM BROS. At the beginning of the game, one player will GET LAZY and join the cause of the GAINS GOBLINS. The remaining members of the GYM BROS, alerted to the fact that there has been an disruption to the routine, will seek to find and eliminate the GAINS GOBLIN before three Sets are up!
Game Structure
This game consists of three Workouts, each comprised of three Sets (Days).
Before each Workout, one player will be selected as the GAINS GOBLIN. The remaining players will then have three chances to lynch, by majority vote, the GAINS GOBLIN. The Workout ends when the GAINS GOBLIN is lynched or if the GAINS GOBLIN survives all three lynches. When the Workout ends, the GAINS GOBLIN will be revealed, and the winning team will score one point. The next Workout will then begin, with all players except for the GAINS GOBLIN returning to the game and a new GAINS GOBLIN being selected from among the remaining players.
In sum, there will be one Workout with 7 players, a second Workout with 6, and a final Workout with 5. During the final Workout, there will be only two Sets.
Win conditions
The first team (GAINS GOBLINS or GYM BROS) to score 2 points wins. The game can end after Workout 2.
Special Abilities
Each team has a few abilities that they can leverage during the game.
GYM BROS
The first time the GAINS GOBLINS score a point, the GYM BROS unlock the following ability:
- STICKING TO THE PROGRAM: One randomly-selected GYM BROS player’s alignment will be publicly revealed. This ability can be used ONLY ONCE during the game. To activate this ability, two players must privately PM me during the same Set saying they wish to use it.
GAINS GOBLINS
- INSIDIOUS AND UBIQUITOUS: At the beginning of each Workout, the GAINS GOBLIN will join a QT that is accessible by all subsequent GAINS GOBLINS. They may speak in this QT at any time and do not leave it even after the Workout ends.
The first time the GAINS GOBLINS fail to sabotage a Workout, each GAINS GOBLIN will gain the following ability:
- <redacted>: <redacted>. This ability can be used ONLY ONCE during the game. To activate this ability, privately PM me saying you wish to use it.

Can we have Megiddo removed from the forum forever please?
i'm pretty sure i can find your ***** online within 3 minutes
dammit. no second PM.
assuming its the setup megs told me about in discord, i really wanted to be scum.
still havent read OP.
how are we supposed to catch solo scum again?
its way too easy to just do your thing with no partners to worry about.
seems like this will be a crap shoot.
probably just look for really wordy RVS posts that dont include a vote.
ive decided how im going to play this game
so this spoiler is an actual spoiler:
pocket most of you
because i know you all well enough that it will probably work and make you townread me if youre town and NOT nk me if youre scum
pocketing doesnt work on fonti or DV
so i will warily *****post at both of them
since ill have no real scumreads (and why would i with no flips and no buddies to change your behavior?) my votes day 1 will just be on the biggest wagons because theres no reason to drag this out
day 2 ill choose who i thought was scummiest and tunnel them.
i assume either the person i choose or [DV/fonti] will make me the counterwagon, but ill probably win because of the aforementioned pocketing
if im alive on the last day, i will treat myself as confirmed town and force the others to make cases on eachother
or ill just get tinfoil lynched.
Day 3 is the right day to lynch me if you think i might be scum
doing so before is no fun at all
hope to catch scum sometime in the days, but if not its best of 3 iirc and i'll probably do some gimmick in the second round
I wasn't under the impression that scum had kills.
hmmm
we'll see how much that changes my strategy
derpclear self-denied
not reading the rules is NAI for me
so if we take that nacho read of fonti as good (which kind of scares me because she would think that when she received the PM and might have got another from megs later, but its fine for day 1 i suppose)
and then also dont lynch nacho for pointing it out/narrowing the mislynch pool
and anak's response to me was pretty esoterically townie (anak-specific tells)
and we dont lynch me until day 3 at the earliest
then we've already got the lynch narrowed down to 3 people for today

1) I can't imagine that Meg would delay the scum and town role PMs by a significant amount; no way that he'd let scum post in thread thinking they were town and then go "whoops! you're scum!" later.
2) The followup to that post was good enough where I'm doubly confident in it.
I'm pretty happy lynching you the second I start to have too many townreads; it's sort of disappointing that you're a good scum player and I can't be confident on town reads on you except in extreme situations, but I'm fairly confident that I'm winning any 1v1s between you and I this game and it's a little added incentive for you to find the scum faster (or die trying).
Rhand is the first person I have my eye on; he should be fairly obvious town decently quickly if he gets the chance to post but if not he gets tossed into the airlock and we move on from there. I did like Anak's opening; don't feel anything in particular about zomg.
im gonna say that over half the players in this game would have absolutely no trouble being townie in this setup
(or in the case of me/DV, being ourselves which is not actually townie but you get the point)
so the later day tinfoil lynches should be real.

what could go wrong?
I'm not sure what you mean by "later day tinfoil lynches should be real". The only thing I can possibly imagine you are saying here is that since most players will look town this game we should act like insane people on later days, which I'm sure is not what you meant to say.
Tom, if you are going to try and pocket everyone, shouldn't we lynch you on principle?
Zomg calling people lurkers when it's both the weekend and him lurking feels weird. Like he doesn't know what to say but has to post words, so he just tried to blanket spew everyone.

Not really lurking this game though, its a 7man game, i usually check mini's/micros twice a day and post if there has been activity, im not a tom/vaimes poster that runs up a million posts a game.
I wasn't accusing you of lurking, I was commenting on how you calling out lurkers feels off given that game state.
The need to come to your defense so fast doesn't help either
@Anaklusmos: why is there no vote in that post where you unvoted?
@Nacho: If I'm that obviously town early, then why "have your eye on me"? Wouldn't it make more sense to have your eye on others because my alignment becomes clear to you anyways? And how does that work? I get mislynched all the time as town.

I don't really think that he's lurking. I'm not sure what exactly he was saying (did he mean we had people online not posting? did he mean that people were lurking?) but I'm not sure that not knowing what to say at that point in time is indicative of alignment and I don't think "imma blanket spew everyone" is a typical scum reaction.

If he misinterpreted the main point of your post being "you're a lurker", how would his response be overdefensive?

My experience with you is sorted into active obvious town Rhand or scum Rhand. Saying that I will have your eye on me doesn't mean that I will pay more attention to you then anyone else; it means that I'm voting you the moment you don't deliver.
Just a friendly reminder that deadline is around a day. Zomarc is not a horrible lynch but I don't think that the "he's lurking!" case on him holds water. I find Rhand's confirmation of vote mostly uninspiring but prefer to give him more time and I find Tom pushing for this lynch meh.

The fact that he was trying so much to show how he wasn't lurking. Like it's a micro on the weekend, activity is expected to be relatively sparse. If he thought I was calling him out for lurking, his response I would expect to.be more of, screw off its the weekend, than let me show you all the reasons I'm not lurking.
Why do you want to lynch DV, who literally hasn't posted?
Except he wasn't lurking because "it was the weekend", he wasn't lurking and his response to you was that you had bad expectations, which seems reasonable enough to me.
I want to lynch DVR because he's lurking and I'm comfortable giving others more time. The two people I am bothered by are Rhand for his vote confirm (but feel he'll become obvtown given the opportunity and hasn't been given that opportunity yet) and Tom simply because I'm not sure why he's pushing Zomg, but realize that it's again too early and too unreasonable.
DV isn't lurking, he hasn't posted anything. Why would you want to lynch him, you somehow think that's alignment indicative? DV would never be bothered by his alignment, something else is going on with him.
I never said he was lurking! I made a different comment, that you think he thought was about himself, and then he proceeded to defend himself. That level of of self awareness reads as town to you?

I don't think DV's lurking is aligent indicative (I don't think lurking is alignment indicative in general). I'm just willing to roll the dice when I'm townreading or don't yet want to lynch the rest of the game.
I know you didn't accuse him of lurking but he thought you did and that's the important part. Do you understand why? I don't understand why misinterpreting something and defending against the misinterpretation is scummy.

My original expectation/hope was that I'd get to be grandfather scum, but being the mighty town leader works just as well.

you also have me trying to dazzle nacho and [whatever it is that me and DV do] to look forward to.

It's basically RVS still so just play along with us. Who knows, it might be fun!
