I actually got the deck idea from MTG. It revolves around second sunrise. The deck was originally built for extended, but i want to see if i can turn it into a viable legacy deck. Most of the time i get the combo to go off on turns 3-4.
The idea is to draw your deck and then use pyrite spellbomb over and over by using second sunrise to bring it back into play then use bauble to put sunrise back into your library. But its the only card there so you draw it. and repeat.
I have been considering using City of Traitors in the MD, but it cant be fetched with Ghost Quarter, but it can be with wargate.
If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Note: here you don't need the spellbomb to win, as coliseum gets the job done. seeing as you can also generate infinite mana and infinite storm, cards like banefire and grapeshot/tendrils of agony can be used, but i've found them to be win more. edit: something is wrong with my html writer....stupid internet.

Question! At first glance, Ancient Tomb, atleast at first glance at 3 AM, seems like it might be better then City. But I like it other then that.
City goes to the graveyard, and then comes back with second sunrise...it's so much better than ancient tomb it's not even funny.

Agreed on Cephalid - that was the build I found to be best too when working on Second Breakfast. Ah, the memories.
Anyway, the deck dies to anything disrupting Sunrise - counters especially. It's too dependent on having a high egg count to pack any hate on its own. It can win against decks that don't pack blue, but it just rolls over and dies to a counter. You won't recover until 5-6 turns later at best, leaving the opponent plenty of time to kill you.
I still think it's cool for casual, though actually playing out the combo takes a few minutes.

that would be because helm of awakening does nothing for the deck. if you're going off you're going off, and the reduction in cost seldom has any effect other than increasing your mana count, which is almost completely irrelevant.

Helm of Awakening was used in the early Egg decks, because you played all 20 Eggs from Odyssey.
So you'd play Helm, play eggs for free, pop the first egg, draw a card, use that floating mana from the first egg to pop the second egg, etc.
Basically drawing out your deck until you hit a win condition, which would normally consist of Storm I think.
It still works like that in your list as well, or at least it can.
As far as I know, that's how the deck is supposed to combo... At least that was the only feasible way to do it quickly, when I ran it... I don't really understand how this deck is meant to function, let alone function quickly, mind running through how this goes off before turn 6?
The list I ran was casual vintage though, and could get away with Timetwister and Wheel of Fortune, no such luck here. The best replacement for the draw 7 effects (and something that should probably be in your list) is Pursuit of Knowledge (works well with sunrise too). But the last legacy build I tested looked something like:
It worked OK, and it could still be fairly fast. I don't believe turn 2 wins are out of the question.

Well it's simple to go off on turn 4...but 3 is the earliest reliably. turn 1: dig/vein + 1 fuel turn 2: dig/vein/city + 2 fuel turn 3: tutor as needed, or play more fuel/lands turn 4: crack all your lands + eggs, make sure you tutor if you haven't already to have sunrise, save 1WW in the pool and cast sunrise. should refill the draws+lands, do it again, or if you are afraid of stalling out stop here and draw another card on turn 5(probably not worth it). i can't really say much more than that, as it is completely reliant on what you draw from the 2-5 fuel pieces. also, conjurer's bauble allows you to go infinite, if that wasn't obvious.

great ideas. I really like the sac lands. But none of your lists include lotus bloom for as good as it is i think it deserves inclusion. It makes everything so much easier.
A few of you noted the problems with the deck. I am thinking of curse catcher or pact of negation or both as blue is what really wrecks this deck. it would just take a few extra turns. Boomerang is for 3sphere and Chalice at 1. both of which lock me out.
I was able to get many of the cards you suggested at my local store. But i am still short a few. I want to see if i can combine your suggestions and the deck i already have and see how good i can make this deck, I plan to test it out at a few legacy events and will post the results.

lotus bloom is a dead card if you don't suspend it...i'd go as far as to suggest LED over it, but in reality you often need to keep your hand. trust me, you can tinker with it all you want, but the aforementioned list is what youll end up with as your 60, with Rushing River in the SB for chalice. It's basically a deck that scoops to blue, once you concede that much, you pretty much smash everything else that doesnt resolve shattering spree/shatterstorm

I plan on using reshape which can fetch it and essentially turns it into black lotus
you realize that casting reshape into lotus bloom initially only nets you a +1 mana injection, at the cost of 2 colored mana, both of which are blue? meanwhile, all other lotus blooms drawn not on t1 are completely dead. it's not needed at all, and i think will slow you down a lot more.

This might be a good deck for fun/casual play, Just looks way too slow and unreliable for Legacy. A Combo deck that takes 3-5 turns is iffy because in 3-5 turns your opponent can kill you already (Zoo, Goblins, ANT/Belcher which are faster combo decks, WW, merfolk, DnT, EvaGreen or even elves). There are too many decks that are at tourney's that this deck doesn't look like it can contend with. What i think is the biggest problem though is when you SB anything in this deck its going to get even slower.

Actually, this deck smashes against Aggro, and is just about as fast as a reliable ANT kill. It's major problem is its complete disability when it comes to disruption of any sort. Discard spells or Counter magic both present major issues, and either will most likely cause you to lose, though hand disruption without a quick threat is often not problematic. Agreed that in the end it will be a meta deck or a casual deck, but will never really hit the limelight.

summer bloom does nothing in this deck, except maybe allowing a lucky turn 1 kill. it adds no consistency, as the build i have can already play all of it's lands while comboing, and the bloom won't really add anything once you are in the combo.

Why wouldn't you play Transmute Artifact instead of Reshape? I know typically you look for a Lotus Bloom, but what if you sac'd an artifact to search for Pyrite Spellbomb or something else, Transmute Artifact would make it free most often while Reshape would require a cost of 1 more. It just looks like Transmute is strictly better, but maybe I'm missing something.
