Route 3 is very similar to Route 1 in appearance, with only the gradual absence of trees as you get closer to Newbloom. Instead, small fower gardens appear on the outskirts of the town, full of flowers in all colours.
(minimum of 2 rolls to progress through)
Route 3 exits to Route 1 or 2 at the south end, or Newbloom Bay to the northwest.
Now I feel terrible for leaving behind the bellsprout. Sorta makes me wish their was an UNDO button How does blacking out work here? Do you automatically get to go back to the last Poke'mon Center? Or do you just gotta run past everything?
Reese got onto the route with his two new Poke'mon! "On my way to Newbloom Bay!"
No worries about the 'sprout. . . . and no real blacking out, just much running and avoidance to the nearest Pokemon Center. You can run from Trainer battles too, just try and talk your way out of it. Oh, and nice roll
Reese came jogging onto Route 3. It wasn't long before he came across another trainer standing nearby. Casually leaning against a fence, he looked up at Reese. "You look easy, let's battle."
Uh oh! Reese just kept running. "Sorry, mate! I'm in a hurry, its an Emergency! Count this as an 'I owe you'!" He was truely worried about his poke'mon considering that he hasn't ever owned a poke'mon before.
No worries, but this is intentionally a teaser for you.
As Reese approaches Newbloom Bay, he can hear a faint buzzing coming from in front of him. There's a copse of trees near the road, somewhat incongruous with all the flowers, and it sounds like the buzzing is coming from there. Then, a blur streaks out and past Reese, whipping his hair in the draft it creates.
As the creature moves out of sight, the buzzing becomes somewhat audible. . . . "Scyscyscyscyscyscy" is all that can be heard
Could it be? Could it be the Pokemon he sought? He hadn't known to much other that the sound he heard. Reese just had to keep running he couldn't risk another run in, his Pokemon needed some medical care.
Reese looks down at the package. He read the address aloud. "Wow! This must be important! I gotta deliver this!" He took the package with care, in hopes that the Gym leader would still be there. His poke'mon all nestled snug in their poke'balls, in his other pocket, ethanol flavored Halls.
I'm in the chrismas mood
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tinny reindeer.
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!
"Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, on Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of Toys, and St Nicholas too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St Nicholas came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of Toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.
His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"
Reese ran even faster hoping to get to the gym soon.
I lol'ed . . . . hard . . . . epic win for that OOC pet snake!
And seriously, ethanol flavoured Halls? I really hope you meant menthol, because ethanol is grain-based alcohol. Halls flavoured like those, probably not very tasty

Yeah, go ahead. I actually expected you to be there already. You must have taken the scenic path through the Route, you made what, 6 rolls when only 2 were required? lol
just watched this guy win a game after mulliganing down to zero and doing nothing for four turns in the t8 of a 2x premier event. I immediatly Imed a friend to confirm Chuck Noris actually plays Magic.
As Luke strode down the path, he came across an oddly coloured pair of roses in a nearby bush. One was a striking red, the other a deep blue, and as he walked closer, they rustled and disappeared into the bush. A greenish head with several spike-like shapes poked out from the leaves and looked at him.
He looked at the pokemon for a second, and sighed. Of all poison pokemon he could run into, why did it have to be a roselia? He thought for a second, and then decided he might as well catch it.
"Go scorupi..." he said, slightly depressed at his luck so far. The scorpion reared up at the sight of the roselia.
"Alright, scorupi use pursuit" he said, still somewhat depressingly.

Skorupi connected with the Roselia, breaking it free of the bush it called home. Not happy about the situation, it turned to face Skorupi and erupted in a barrage of poison sting needles toward its target.

Skorupi managed to avoid the stingers, but as it closed Roselia began to glow with a faint green energy. As the scorpion clawed its opponent the aura in turn attacked and tried to drain energy to heal Roselia. (Absorb)

The absrob managed to drain a little energy from Skorupi, but it broke the hold when the scorpion dodged backwards. The resulting stingers peppered the ground around Roselia, and appeared to cause some damage, but the flower was still full of fight. It took a couple steps backward, toward the bush it started from, and began to glow faintly. (Growth)

Skorupi landed squarely on Roselia and managed to sink its fangs into its opponent. Roselia cried out at the attack and tried to break free, but couldn't seem to muster the strength to throw off the much larger scorpion. As it lay there pinned, it tried to use another absorb, but it was clearly hurting at this point in the battle.

The pokeball just missed Skorupi, and hit the Roselia just beyond. The pokeball wobbled on the ground briefly, and stopped with a soft chime as the light winked out.
