Relicanth just sits on the ground and allows the wurmple to run directly into it, his hard body taking the attack like nothing happened.
Relicanth seems very unconcerned about this battle, his only response to the tackle is to roll over on top of the wurmple, the pools of water left alone.

@ Cyouni: "Let's go, we're needed out there. Hold on tight." Nico said as Chance whistled. The Lapras took off from the shore, leaving a considerable wake as it swam toward the wreckage of the ferryboat, and whatever was thrashing about in the water nearby.
As they approached, it was easy to see that something WAS in the water. Something large, and writhing it's long body indiscriminately. A deafening roar again pierced the noise of the waves, causing Lapras to swerve slightly. The change in direction brought a spray of water over the side, getting everyone on its back. "Something's not right, I think we need to run some interference to get closer. What do you think, kiddo?" Chance spared a glance at his companion.
"Already on it," came the reply, as Nico withdrew a pokeball from her wetsuit and released the creature inside. "Gastly, get in there and try to calm it down. We can't get close with all these waves. See if you can sneak in and give it a good Lick, or if that doesn't work see if you can make it sleep, OK?" The ghost responded with a nod, then vanished.
"Linoone, you get in there too. That ghost is going to need some help, and I'm putting you on distraction duty, got it?" Chance said to the ferret-like creature that appeared on Lapras' back with the trainers. It made a brief noise like a chittering squeak, then it hopped into the water and swam off even faster than Lapras. All that could be seen of it was the spray of water as it cut through to the creature before them. "You got some pokeballs with you boy? If something goes down, we might not be able to take care of it, so you need to be ready for backup on this. It's gonna turn bad in a hurry if we're not fast and careful."
---------------------------------------
@ KoolKoal: With a satisfying crunch, the Relicanth squashed the poor Wurmple under its weight. While not critically injured, it was obvious that the caterpillar would not be winning this fight. "Oh well. It was a good battle. Here you go, and good luck." With a smile, the trainer hands Jerrin $150 and offers to shake hands.
---------------------------------------
@ Shadow: The group of trainers speeds off into the bay. Darion can see a couple flashes of light, probably the trainers releasing pokemon, then the group is lost in the distance as they circle around the waves.
Jerrin pulls his pokemon back into the puddleball to relieve the injured Wurmple Relicanth was still laying on and takes the young boys hand, "Don't feel too bad about it, your Wurmple was pretty good for fighting a rock-type pokemon." He says encouragingly.
So, is giving out money after a loss going to be a standard for all npcs? How about if I lose? And did we start with any cash? I never saw you say anything about it.

Ah, I forgot I even used that adjective. My mistake, then :]
Sindaquil was breathing heavily; he was starting to overtax itself with the amount of flames he was belting out. The starly's sweet song taunted him but all he could do was leer back.
It was in the first post of the registration thread, I didn't change it. 5000 pokedollars (or whatever it was) . . . and yes, NPCs will usually reward a small amount of money for your troubles. And if that's been two encounter rolls, you can move to Route 2 or 3 if you wish
The boy looked at Jerrin. "Gee, thanks. Wurmple is my first pokemon, and I was excited just to be battling right now. Well, I have to go, so good luck!" He recalled his Wurmple to the pokeball and started jogging back to Livian.
-----------------------------------------
@ iforgot: The Starly's chirping stopped, and there was a rustle of feathers again. The smoke had cleared enough to see it was trying one last tackle attempt on the Cyndaquil, as the bird was also starting to show signs of exhaustion.
"Sindaquil, meet the thing head on! Like a tank!" Donnie shouted. Sindaquil jumped up and tried to tackle the mentally retarded pidgey in midair. Their bodies connected.
@ iforgot: As the two pokemon collided in midair, there was a dull thwump. Both pokemon came tumbling to the ground, stirring up a cloud of dust as they landed. It was fairly clear that neither of them would really be getting up from this battle. (HP red zone on the Starly, and WPL discretion due to amount of unlearned moves used in one battle)
-------------------------------------
@ KoolKoal: Jerrin spots a Nidoran (F) happily munching away on a patch of grass and wildflowers.
Jerrin pulls out his pokedex and scans the small creature.
As a general rule, I've decided Jerrin is entirely familiar with pokemon from Hoenn, his region of origin, but otherwise needs to check them out.
"Well, I don't want to catch her, and she's not a danger to anyone," Jerrin decides. He tries to walk past the grazing pokemon without a confrontation.

That's basically what I'm doing; my character knows all of the Kanto and Johto Pokemon; he still scans all of them with the Pokedex, though, to fill it up. Hoenn and the fourth region he's completely new to.
@ KoolKoal: The chipper female voice emits from the speaker: Nidoran, the poison pin pokemon. While it does not prefer to fight, even one drop of the poison it secretes from barbs can be fatal. A Poison pokemon.
The little blue-ish creature sees Jerrin walking by, and dashes off into deeper grass. There's a faint rustling as it moves through the underbrush, then nothing as it disappears somewhere.
As the pair start shuffling through the long grasses off the path of Route 1, they startle a smallish cat with a very long, corkscrewed tail. The creature doesn't miss a beat, however, as it pounces toward the Sneasel with incredible speed, weaving back and forth as it tries to knock Sneasel into the ground. (Fake Out)
Having no time to even pull out his newly acquired Poke'dex, Atticus called out to Sneasel, warning him to watch out...but it was too late. The cat had already scored a hit on Sneasel.
"Sneasel! It's fast! Let's match its speed with our own! Get up and use Scratch!"
Sneasel got up and started chasing down the wild Poke'mon while bearing its claws. After catching up to its foe, Sneasel takes a swipe.....
While the speed of their foe had suprised both Atticus and Sneasel the first time, the second time they were ready. Sneasel managed to dodge the swipe of the creature's claws.
"Sneasel! While it's close! Look into it's eyes and give it your worst!"
Sneasel locked eyes with the cat-like creature. Sneasel's eyes narrowed and it grinned maliciously. (Leer)
Sneasel was visibly effected by the Growl, taking a few steps back but holding its ground.
Atticus thought quickly about the battle so far. Their opponent had shown that it was very quick, both on offense and on defense. Having Sneasel chase the thing down again would just tire his Poke'mon out, so....
"Sneasel! If us chasing it down isn't that effective, maybe bringing it to us will work! Use Taunt!"
"Snea! Snea-SEL!" Sneasel backed up a few more steps and beckoned its foe with its claws.
Exiting Livian Port takes you to Route 1, heading north from the town. Looking down the path, it's very open with grasses of different sizes growing in the flatlands. Occasionally a small group of trees can be seen, and the bay is visible on the horizon. Chirping birds and buzzing insects can be heard once in a while.
(minimum of 2 rolls to progress through)
Route 1 exits into Livian Port at the south end, and Route 2 or 3 at the north.
As scko and charmander walk out of livian port a grin of determination can be seen on their faces.
"Well char, you heard the professor, Newbloom or Osiers"?
"Char, Char" !!! Charmander looks towards the left with his tail and then points his whole body in the direction of Osiers.
"Alright then Osiers it is"!
A Hoothoot appears to be calmly resting in a nearby tree, but its eyes seem to be watching Scko and Charmander's every move.
As the duo walked down the path they felt something watching them. Charmander's eyes darted about and locked on to something, but kept walking. Scko began to feel a little aprehensive. Then without a moments notice charmander stopped and a low grumble reverberated from deep within. (OOC: Growl)
Scko stood and looked around, and then he spotted it. It was looking right at him. Almost through him. The glowing red eyes. Scko quickly brought out his pokedex.

@ iforgot:
The pokeball hit the Starly, transferring it inside the sphere. It wobbled back and forth on the ground, light winking on and off . . . .
. . . and with a light chime, the light went out.
"Sneasel!" Sneasel sounded an affirmative.
"So, should we walk along the path or head into the brush?"
"SneaSEL." Sneasel pointed off the path.
"Oh, alright. I suppose we can look for some Poke'mon before battling a trainer. Come on, let's see if we can flush out anything."
With that, Atticus and Sneasel both headed off into the long grasses of Route 1.
