Route 4 is fairly quiet. While near Osiers there is swampland (swamps are all around that place), it clears up into soft, rolling hills and slight sand dunes down by the water's edge. Not many trees can be seen, but patches of tall grass can be found spotting the hills.

Route 4 exits to Osiers Town to the south, or either Asters Town or Route 15 to the north.
Upon receiving the newfound treasure, Sneasel began to glow faintly along with the precious stone trinket. The bloodstone began to disintegrate in Sneasel's hands, appearing to become an almost aether-like energy before enveloping the pokemon. After about a minute, the aura faded to nothing, leaving Sneasel appearing as he did before. But something was different . . . .
OOC: Sneasel learned Poison Jab
As the pair proceeded along the Route path, they came across a Psyduck sitting in a nearby puddle, looking quite content.
"Woah. Never expected that stone to do....that. Anyway, what's that Poke'mon over there?" Atticus pulled out his Poke'dex, which informed him of Psyduck and all of its eccentricities.
"Sneasel, let's go talk to it. It seems pretty happy, so we might not have to fight it. Still, I would like to capture it. I think it would feel quite at home in this Puddle Ball."
Atticus approached the Psyduck with Sneasel in tow. Making sure not to disturb the puddle that the duck was sitting in, Atticus kneeled down and said hello.
In response to Atticus' question, Psyduck proceeded to soak itself in water from the puddle by splashing about frantically. It's sharp movements caused it to roll away to the far side of the puddle where it stood on its webbed feet, eyes still glowing faintly and water dripping from its beak and feathers.
Sneasel's claw hit Psyduck on the side, knocking it over into the puddle where it splashed about briefly before getting itself upright again. It then turned around, and waved its backside at Sneasel in what was proving to be a rather comical display. (Tail Whip)
Sneasel and Atticus were both desperately trying to hold back laughing at how cute yet hilarious the small duck was acting. Still hoping to catch the duck, Atticus reminded Sneasel to hold back as his buddy launched itself at the wild Poke'mon.
The quick attack was again successful, rolling the Psyduck around in the puddle even more. This time, however, it stood up and unleashed a torrent of water in retaliation. Apparently, the absurd cuteness had gone away and it was ready to battle. (Water Gun)
The sudden turning of the Psyduck's mood caught both Sneasel and Atticus off guard. The spray of water hit Sneasel square in the face, leaving it drenched. Deciding now was as good a time as ever to try out Sneasel's new move, Atticus ordered a Poison Claw.
As Sneasel started closing in on the duck, its claws turned a deep purple, almost lending an evil glint to them.
The swipe stayed true and hit Psyduck again, knocking it into the puddle one more time. It splashed around a bit before righting itself, and launching another blast of water from its beak. (Water Gun)
OOC: Poison Jab, Poison Claw, same difference. Amirite?
Sneasel was ready for the blast of water this time. Nimbly dodging out of the way, Sneasel responded with another Poison Jab.
Atticus, meanwhile, pulled out the Poke'dex to make sure he got some info on the duck.
However, he also made sure to pay attention to the condition of the wild Poke'mon in case he needed to throw the Puddle Ball.
Psyduck, the duck pokemon. Possessing mystical powers, it tends to forget having used them before. A water-type pokemon.
Psyduck was hit yet again, and it looked much worse because of it. Trying to defend itself, it splashed about in the puddle but couldn't hide that it was not doing so well. (Water Sport, and poisoned)
Atticus threw the ball and hoped. The Psyduck looked pretty weak, but it had definitely shown it had a lot of fight in it. Motioning for Sneasel to stay alert, the ball landed on the ground and started to roll....
As Atticus and Sneasel continued their walk down the route path, Sneasel spotted something in the grass. Dashing off, it returned a minute later with a small item in its grasp.

"Alright, let's head along the path this time. We all need some more battling experience before we head back to Osiers and try for that badge again."
Sneasel nodded its approval and the two headed down the path.

Atticus pulled out the Puddle Ball and showed it to the small duck.
(OOC: Psyduck used Water Sport)
Sneasel quickly made its way over to the small duck and swung a carefully controlled claw at the wild Psyduck.

Picking up the Puddle Ball that now contained the small duck, Atticus beckoned for Sneasel to follow him as they continued down the route.
"Hey, what have you got there, Sneasel?"
Sneasel held up the item to Atticus, revealing it to be...
Sneasel turned over a potion to Atticus.
With that, Atticus and Sneasel left Route 4 and headed to the town of Asters.
