While you're walking you keep an eye out for wild pokémon and see a Bulbasuar trying to blend in with some plants...
What would you like to do?
Upon spotting the Bulbasaur, Ike immediately reaches for Queen's pokéball to see what she's capable of. He quickly changes his mind though, thinking she could use time to recover after the brutal punishment Styx put her through. Ike summons Styx instead.
"Let's see if we can hit that Bulbasaur with a sneak attack before it knows we've spotted it."
Styx flops around and responds, "Karp karp. Magikarp."
"I have no idea what you just said, but I'm assuming it was something along the lines of 'Nice plan! I'm in!' Now, see if you can hit it from here with Hydro Pump!"
Styx leaps into the air and crashes down, unleashing a powerful splash that soaks everything nearby, Bulbasaur included, but does nothing more. Ike shouts, "Dang it, Styx! I was almost dry from the last time you did that!"
Styx's splash attack appeared to have no other effect than to make the immediate vicinity a little more wet than it had started (which isn't saying much). The Bulbasaur stirred a bit, but didn't seem to notice that there was a trainer in front of it.
The Magikarp flew through the air, rather ungracefully (OOC: you did say fling), and landed on the Bulbasaur. Unfortunately, it landed right atop the flower bulb on the grass pokemon's back. It was enough to wake the Bulbasaur, which tried to ensnare the fish with a leech seed.
Ike doesn't immediately take notice of Bulbasaur planting Seeds on Styx. "Tackle it again, Styx!"
"Karp!" Styx leaps straight up into the air and crashes down on Bulbasur's bulb again, tackling it once more. It is only at the peak of Styx's jump that Ike catches a glimpse of the seed attached to him, their roots quickly digging between his scales. Not knowing what the seed is, Ike considers that maybe picking a fight with this thing wasn't such a good idea after all...
The Bulbasaur took the hit from the fish, but didn't seen too fazed by the attack as the seeds had begun to do what they were supposed to. It turned on Styx and charged ahead with a tackle of its own.
"This doesn't seem to be working. Styx, fall back!"
Ike recalls Styx back into his pokéball, then calls the Queen out. With Styx seeded, it would only be a matter of time before the Bulbasaur won the fight. Queen might stand a better chance, even if she hasn't fully recovered by now...
"I know you haven't had much time to rest, Queen, but Styx can't do much against this Bulbasaur. Maybe you can demoralize it if you act like an blood-thirsty, murderous beast..."
Queen takes a few steps towards Bulbasaur, baring her teeth and growling menacingly as she stops and takes an aggressive stance, staring Bulbasaur in the eye and waiting for her next command.
Bulbasaur cringed a bit at the growling, but after a brief resurgence of courage it started to growl back. This was the Bulbasaur's territory, and it wasn't going to back down from a challenge.

"Well, you could have screwed up worse I guess... Try tackling it! That seemed to work well enough against Queen."
Styx flings himself through the air at Bulbasaur and tackles it.
