In this and all game updates, you will be presented with spoilers with your usernames on them. In the beginning, you are all in the same spoiler, but as you branch out, should you choose to do so, there will be multiple spoilers. BE AWARE: Sometimes your name might be on multiple spoilers. Be sure to read everything thoroughly. Also, this will only work for you if you have images on.
*NOTE* If any of you would like your player card changed to a different color please tell me.
You arrive in Ageos at its southeasternmost point:
As you arrrive at the dock the group of you are greeted by a middle aged man flanked by two twenty somethings...
"Hello everybody, my name is Professor Pear, I had talked to each of you about how you might begin you pokemon journey." He turns to the female assistant on the right and she hands him one of the pokedexs she is holding. "I'm sure all of you know what this is..."
"It is, quite obviously a pokedex. It will be a useful tool on your journey." He turns to the male assistant on the left and he hands him one of the four pokeballs he is holding. "I have each of the pokemon you requested, I had to do a little searching to find them for a couple of you but here is each of your Starter Pokemon...
After he hands you each of your starters, he turns once more to the male assiatant, as the female assistant begins handing out Pokedexs, she's a little unsure about whether or not to give Derick a pokedex (since he already has a Poketool) but once the professor explains what the Poketool is everything is fine. Throughout his explanation the male assistant is handing out spare pokeballs (x5) to each of you.
The Professor says to all of you, "I believe you're all set. If you have any questions or concerns, I'll be in my lab." With that he turns and, with his assistants in tow, he walks the short distance to his lab.
Also, a short distance away a man walks with his daughter enjoying the summer afternoon.
A small Pidgey bounces along the ground beside her as they walk.
And that, my friends, is where you pokemon adventure begins. You may travel, talk, trade, party up, explore the area, or whatever else you may choose.
Yay! And if you could, change card color to white or artifact, since I tend to prefer steel types, artifact is good, but if you don't do that to keep things straight, white then.
Derick smiled as he received his pokemon and pokeballs. Though first thing was first for him, release and introduce himself to his Aron, which his mother had made sure Prof. Pear would get apparently. He quickly lets the Aron out of its pokeball, "Hello there little guy, it's a pleasure to meet you," he squats down to talk to it, reaching into his pocket, he had come prepared for this meeting, "I got a little treat for you," from his pocket he pulled out three metal ball bearings.
The little Aron at first was a bit cautious about his new trainer, nearly tackled him when it spotted the ball bearings, happily eating them up when offered. Derick petting his new pokemon lightly on its head as it enjoys them, "I got more of those for you later..." he thinks for a moment, "Iron, that sounds good, do you like that?" The Aron, now done eating, looks up and smiles, making a happy noise in response.
Derick smiles again, "Alright, time to go then, let's see if Prof. Pear has any odd jobs he needs done," he says quietly to the pokemon before standing up, adjusting his messenger bag, and heading off towards the lab, intent on inquiring about research opportunities in this area, either from Prof. Pear or one of his assistants if he is busy, looking around for possible trainers to try out Iron in a match.
James, too, immediately lets his Numel out to enjoy the fresh air and is pleased to see that it is already friendly enough to him to follow him around. He spends a good few minutes just running in circles and watching the Numel do the same behind him. After he and Numel share a good laugh about this, James decides it's time to get his adventure started.
James goes over to the Feils and asks them both a few questions. "Hey there! Sorry to bother you, but could I ask you something? You see, I'm new to the area and, well, this is my first pokémon adventure and all, and, I mean, I saw your Pidgey, and, well, I was wondering if you knew about flying types in the area? If you could tell me any types you've seen a lot of around here and where it was you saw them, I'd really like to find one to help me on my journey. I'd be willing to do any favors you may need to make it up to you! I'd really appreciate it."
While they think or after they respond, I will search the town for useful ITEMS.

I'd also like to see if my pokedex contains more info on my Numel's potential abilities and what it will take to learn them.
Scout is male. Also, I'd like my player card changed to "old frame artifact" or just brown.
Beryl thanks the assistants for her new gear and releases her Pokemon. "Good to see you again, Scout," she says, patting the little mouse on the head. "Ready for a little adventure?"
"Shrew? Sandshrew!" he responds, gesturing in the direction of the Pokemon Lab.
"Oh, I don't know, Professor Pear is very busy," Beryl responds. "But maybe...one of the assistants could help us out. Or at least give us some idea where to start looking." Beryl squats down so that Scout can climb onto her backpack, then follows the kid with the techno-gadget into Prof. Pear's lab. She's looking to get information on any recent claims of fossil discoveries, or barring that, the quickest way to reach mountains or beach areas.
Before Gabe releases his Nidoran, he gets his camera out of the messenger bag laying against his hip.
"Come on out dude."
The Nidoran pops out of the pokeball in a hightened state, but is soon dazed by the flash of the camera in Gabe's hand.
"That was a good one man." A low growl comes from Nidoran's throat and he lunges at Gabe, right as another flash goes off.
"WOAH! Calm down dude." Gabe quickly returns Nidoran to his pokeball. "Guess I'll let you relax before I bring you back out dude. Maybe there are something to do around here"
After you and Numel play for a bit, you scour the ground looking for anything out of place and you find a...
It must have fallen out of someone's pocket. Oh well, their loss is your gain.
Putting the Premier Ball in your bag, you ask your pokedex for information on Numel. The pokedex responds with a chart...
(Clearification of how this works coming soon...)
Putting your Pokedex back in your pocket, you walk up to the Feils and asks them your questions...
Avis says "Why hello, young trainer. There are actually quite a few types of bird pokemon in the surronding area, there are Taillow, Starly, Hoothoot, even a few Spearow..." Erika interupts her father saying "DON'T FORGET TO TELL HIM ABOUT THE PIDGEYS, DAD!" He sighs "Yes, and there are a lot of Pidgeys too (of course Pidgeys are everywhere so that's not saying much.)
Erika pipes up when you say you'd be willing to do a favor for them, "I've always wanted to see someone catch a pokemon, my dad says I'm not old enough to catch them myself and he's been meaning to show me but he's always so busy. Could you show me how to catch a Pokemon?
After you and Iron get to know each other a bit better, you walk towards Professor Pear's Lab with Iron following along behind. As you approach the lab you see a Lass with a small Nidoran(F) trotting along beside her.
At the same time Professor Pear's female assistant comes rushing out of the lab with a pair of Pokedexs and Pokeballs. She's headed for the dock where two more intrepid trainers are about to begin their pokemon journey.
As you approach the lab with Scout on your back the two of you see the female assistant rush out the door towards the dock. You also see Derick trying to decide whether or not to square off with another trainer. As you enter the lab you can tell that it is a large and spacious building, or at least it should be. It's jam-packed, wall-to-wall with stacks of books, equipment, papers, computers, and probably a kitchen sink or two. You can hear the professor in the back rummaging through something and the male assistant is sitting at one of the computers typing. As you walk in, he looks up and says "Hi again. What can I do for you?"
You ask him about any fossil discoveries and he says "Well, that's not exactly my area of expertise but I know that Slate City, which is nestled at the foot of the Whitecap Mountains Northwest of here, is widely known for the fossils in its Slate deposits. If I recall correctly there is a small museum there as well, they'd probably known a lot more than I would..."
As the three of you step off the dock you see a young woman waiting for you. She steps forward and introduces herself... "Hi, I'm one of Professor Pear's assistants. He sent me out here to give you three your Pokedexs and your Starter Pokemon." She holds out three pairs of Pokedex and Pokeball, one for each of you. You each receive...
and
*Note* The two of you need to tell me the gender of your Pokemon...
The assistant says to each of you, "Ok I think you're all set. If you have any questions or concerns, I'll be in the lab." With that she turns and walks the short distance to the lab.
After you startle Nidoran with the camera flash, you put it back in its Pokeball and start walking around the city...
As you are walking a wild Zigzagoon appears and attacks you...
Zigzagoon (M) Moves:Tackle; Growl; Tail Whip; It gets interested in everything, which is why it zigs and zags. It is good at finding items.
After all the events described occur, James asks Erika to hold on for one second. He goes to the lab and asks the professor or one of his assistants - whoever is accessible - if they can explain exactly how that pokedex chart works, since he has never seen one quite like it before.
After getting his answer, James rushes back out to Erika. "thanks for waiting. Now, if your dad doesn't mind, follow me!" James, hopefully with Erika just behind, rushes to some grass near the town borders and looks for and basic pokemon that might make for an easy demonstration in capturing. He's hoping there's something grassy in that grass, but we will see what he can find.

Derick stops just short of the lab, then smiles a bit, having never been in a pokemon battle before but having always wanted too, this might be just what he needs to start off this journey, after all, new pokemon, new area, whole new experiances awaiting him, why not start off by doing something he never has before. He approaches Lass Kristine and inquires if she would be up for a battle.
Iron on the other hand just follows Derick around like a love struck puppy, the ball bearings really were the right move to get his pokemon to like him right off the bat. He walking beside his master, looking over at the Nidoran(F) curiously.
Her business concluded, Beryl thanks the assistant and quietly takes her leave of Shire Town, heading west. She's in no hurry, so she takes a moment to enjoy the scenery while she and Sandshrew search for items.

Beryl also flips open her shiny new Pokedex and looks up information on Sandshrew's moves.
Darien accepted pokedex and pokeball, pressing the button to make it smaller and attaching it to his belt. He decided to skip any questions he might have and head West, ignoring the other trainers. He wasn't out to make new friends or rivals, he had his own agenda and would prefer not to waste time making small talk.
OCC: Male, oh and question: Does the mana cost indicate the starting level?
Happy that the Pokemon his parents got him last year made its way safely to Ageos, Josh released Saber. The Pokemon ran rapid circles around him, excited to be with a new, inexperienced trainer. "You're certainly excited!" Not one to make his new companion wait, the boy left Shire, heading west, after waving goodbye to the Professor and thanking the three of them for the prompt delivery.
The Electrike's name is Saber, and is male.

A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
Rai beamed with excitement at his new Pokemon. It was so cool and being part steel type would make his dad happy. He played with his new Pokemon for an hour tossing coins to it which it then hurled back magnetically. It enjoyed the game greatly. Rai was eager to start his adventure and so he called out to his Magnemite.
"Let's go, Magnemite! To the west!" Rai shouted as he and his new partner begun their journey. He reads his Pokedex as he walks.
OOC: Moving west and searching for Pokemon to capture/battle there. Reads Magnemite's Pokedex entry. Magnemite/Quest frames for my character please.
As Darien headed out he began to read his pokediex on Slim. He was used to being around Dratinis but a nice refresher never hurt anyone. As he did so he decided to look for some wild Pokemon to train Slim against.
Here in Ageos, Professor Pear and his research team have discovered a rather unique trait among the different species of pokemon in the region.
Specifically, it's how they grow.
It would appear that the individual growth of any one specific creature is at an accelerated rate when compared to the growth rates of identical species from other Regions. They tend to learn new moves faster in Ageos, as well as evolve on a more consistent basis.
As such, Professor Pear has issued the following statement to all trainers from other regions:
"I ask that any interested trainers come to the Ageos region. There are many aspects of this region's pokemon that we do not yet fully comprehend. The more source information and data we are able to collect through the PokeDex and similar data systems, the faster we will be able to reach a more comprehensive understanding of what appears to be unique behaviors among the species present in the region. We have been able to create a cross-referencing system using the PokeDex databases, where moves that are available to the scanned pokemon are displayed and choices can be made in regards to new moves or evolution triggers. This so far has allowed the current trainers in this region to develop their teams at a quicker and more consistent pace than other regions at this point. Again, this is a new system, and requires further testing, but we are excited about the potential advances this system can create in training, breeding, and other aspects of the Pokemon world as we know it.
Any new trainers arriving in Shire Town should meet with me upon arrival, so assistance can be provided. Thank you."
Choose a Pre-Evolution move from the list. That will be the next move your Pokemon learns.
NEW PLAYERS!
Just as you are about to go to the professor's lab you get the announcement coming over the speaker of your pokedex thereby saving you from having to go to the lab. You turn back to the Feils and, along with both Erika and her father, head towards the edge of town searching for Pokemon. Just as you reach the outskirts of the town you see an Ekans glaring at you from a nearby out of a nearby bush. What would you like to do?
Kristine says "Sure. We'll battle you. Nidoran Go! With that, her Nidoran jumps into action Growling, as intimidatingly as is possible for something as small and as cute as it is, at Iron. (Growl)
Nidoran's tiny horn hits the Zigzagoon with all the force in Nidoran's tiny body. The Zigzagoon gets knocked back a few feet but it is still on its feet. It retaliates by attempting to whip Nidoran across the face with its tail. (Tail Whip)
As the two of you step off the dock you see a young man waiting for you. He steps forward and introduces himself... "Hi, I'm one of Professor Pear's assistants. First of all, I'd like to declare that Numel's next exp goal is to learn the move Magnitude. Then:
"Let's do this, Numel! You watching, Erika?"
Numel jumps out. "Numeeeeel!"
"Go, Numel. Hit the snake with an ember to the face! Blind him with fire!"
Numel breathes a puff of fire toward the Ekans, and I pull out a regular pokéball. Regardless of what happens with my ember or any counterattacks from the Ekans, I will throw the pokéball and the hopefully-weakened-and-startled Ekans and hope!
If the Ekans is captured, after getting whatever rewards I get for my efforts, I will go west and look for wild pokemon on Route 1.

If the Ekans isn't captured, I obviously stick around to see that battle through. Gotta show Erika how it's done! (If this is the case, I would appreciate one of those quick-updates we discussed so the battle can be done in time for the next big-update.)
The professor to be smiles, and promptly... opens his PokeTool to watch and record the first battle with, "Alright Iron," he selects to train towards learning Metal Claw, "Lets start this battle out right, Tackle Attack!" Points with his free hand.
Iron makes a happy noise, then charges forward, the cute growl having done little to slow his enthusiasm(though maybe enough to weaken the attack), he looks almost more like he is skipping into the attack then running, something his trainer notes.
Following the path farther west, Josh pulls out his 'Dex and starts looking up information about the electric quadruped, Saber eager to look for wild Pokemon to test his mettle against. Josh reluctantly agrees.

A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
Darien was surprised that a wild torchic would be roaming the area. Throwing Slim's pokeball to release him, Darien decided that it would be best to possibly capture the pokemon while having Slim learn Twister as soon as possible. He felt a little uncomfortable with the fact that the dratini doesn't exactly have a strong set of moves but that was the whole point in finding wild pokemon. Still having that torchic as well was definitely something to work for too.
"Slim, use Thunder Wave!"
Slim wiggled around as the tiny horn on it's forehead started to glow, sending out a wave of electricity at the Torchic. Tossing a pokeball when he was sure the paralyzing attack hit, Darien smiled and waited to see if the pokemon would be caught easily.
Socretes:
The wild Ekans takes a direct hit from the embers thrown by Numel and it looks hurt but it's still kicking (sort to speak). It breaks free of the pokeball after two dings and attacks Numel with its Poisonous bite. Man, that'll really Sting. (Poison Sting)
Arcel:
Iron excitedly slams into the Nidoran. The small Nidoran is knocked back but still standing. Kristine says "It's ok Nidoran, we're still in this. Scratch it the next time it comes close." (Scratch)
silence_dais:
The wave of electricity sweeps across the space between Slim and the wild Torchic. It hits the tiny bird like a tidal wave and it starts twitching spontaneously. It hops towards Slim and trys Scratches him with its clawed feet. (Scratch)

OOC: my trainer card has no quests listed but I do have one.
Iron on the other hand just follows Derick around like a love struck puppy, the ball bearings really were the right move to get his pokemon to like him right off the bat. He walking beside his master, looking over at the Nidoran(F) curiously.

There was once [The Pack], but no more.
Take a mechanic from the pre-mirrodin era, and a mechanic after the mirrodin era, and create a card that flavorfully melds both mechanics.

Gabe throw's the pokeball that holds his Nidoran.
"Use...um...peck dude!"
Nidoran still being irritated from the caerma flash turns around and charges after Gabe.
"AAAAAHHHH!!!! NOT ME DUDE! The Ziggy thing!"
Nidoran stops chasing Gabe and turns around and runs full speed with its tiny horn aiming right at the Zigzagoon.

OOC: Search for wild Pokemon:
There was once [The Pack], but no more.
Thank you."
He sent me out here to give you two your Pokedexs and your Starter Pokemon." He holds out two pairs of Pokedex and Pokeball, one for each of you. You each receive...

You and Scout arrive in the east part of route 1. It is a pretty idyllic place for the first steps of your journey to be begin. Once you have taken in the sights, you and scout start looking for any items that may have been dropped by passersby. At first you doesn't look like you're going to find anything but then, just before you're about to give up the search, you hear a "Doink" from over by Scout. As you look over he's rubbing the top of his head and looking at a little berry on the ground. You look up into the tree but don't see where it might have come from. Scout picks it up and hands the berry to you...
After you put the berry in your bag, you open up your pokedex and ask it about scout moves. It responds with this...

You and Magnemite head west, as the two of you walk/float you open up your pokedex and ask it about Magnemite's moves. It responds with...

OOC: Eep! Level 8!
Iron makes a happy noise, then charges forward, the cute growl having done little to slow his enthusiasm(though maybe enough to weaken the attack), he looks almost more like he is skipping into the attack then running, something his trainer notes.

There was once [The Pack], but no more.
(Scratch)

The little Aron hunkers down in its position, its metal shell glowing slightly as it builds its toughness and prepares for the next strike, ready to jump forward in a tackle maybe after the hit.
