Honestly though so long as the person keeps both progressions on the same side Daring Outlaw is in no way broken (of course we all know how he was planning to use it just throwing in the customary defense argument :p)

Actually, it's not too bad, depending on your interpretation of the gestalt rules. They can be interpreted in the way that you do not gain double SA dice from levels when you take swashbuckler on the other side and rogue on the other.
Even then, it's not that broken. He could just play Rogue/Ninja, Rogue/Scout or Rogue/Lurk and get the ridiculous sneak attack anyway. Hell, Rogue/Swordsage or something.

Well except once you get past level 10 because by that point he would be getting epic level progression so yeah it could be kinda broken still its not the end of the world as far as broken stuff is concerned, i am honestly more worried about the actual CoDzilla Talore is making than anything anyone else has.
Question to the DM since you now apparently have all the books, can i use incarnum? * Sepiriel giggles diabolically

HAHA what? Me? No, I'm completely harmless... even when my turning checks go to 12/day next level. Completely harmless.
By the way, I hope the DM is intimately familiar with Handle Animal.
For whomever is going the route of sneak attack/sudden strike, take into account that I'll have flank-buddies up my prosterior.
Edit: Does your newfound library include the Monster Manual II?
Wait, so you have all the books now? am I still in? because I still want to play spellthief/rogue
Just...I think the spellthief-rogue is a melee character, and if it is, then put some points in Con. I am really worried about our party's tanking and general survivability.
Well, until level five when the druid gets silly. But we won't GET to level five if we can't bash our way through levels one through four...
Making my Rogue/Telepath now, it'd be cool to have a long-term campaign to flesh out this character I've been throwing around in my head. Lemme know if I've got a spot, I'll have the character posted soon. (Are we starting level one, yes?)

I'm maxing handle animal =D. So at lv2 when we have some gold; I could see about buying some Fleshraker Dinosaurs if we need more melee support.
But yes, we definitely need a tank. Someone like a whip-chain fighter or knight. Since the DM now has Tome of Battle...

I have made a list of those who have asked me to join this group. Even though some of you have not been able to post at the start of this thread, you may still have a chance to get in before others. The characters must be done by Friday. I will be checking them in the afternoon my time on Friday and and want them there by the morning your time to avoid confusion. If you thought you may have been interested but realize are not interested/able to follow the time line able on the first post, do not post your characters and I will bump your names down the list for other characters.
1 Dracofaust
2 Random Helix
3 Shadow of Nevinrryal
4 Id Ego
5 Talore
6 Halinn
7 TheEndIsNear
8 SeraphPrime
9 Leathal Shadow
10 Pokershark
Others who have not posted yet will be capable of joining, just be put at the back of the line.
I don't know how the rules using flaws work but if you make a character with a specific flaw you may gain bonus for it later.
So you're number nine. You might make it in, but I dunno. We are starting at level one though.
@Talore: My character will be a decent tank, but he's just one; that's my worry. In the games I've played, you have several melee guys attacking at once, and one tank can't contain them all.
Also I have NO idea what a fleshraker dinosaur is. What book is that from?
EDIT: Ah, right, forgot about that. Thanks Shadow. (I'm so totally for roleplaying my character as joining part way through, watching the group from distant towers He likes to climb things.)
Also, point buy, or what? I feel like I'm not reading things properly. : /

Good, at least we have one. Fleshraker is a wintastic little dinosaur from Monster Manual II. It'll be my companion at Lv4. It has a 5-attack charge+pounce+grapple, dex poison, in quite a lethal package. They are low on hit dice so should be fairly easy to accuire. I'll have a wolf companion lv 1-3, which is a capable tripper with good health for the level; he should be able to help with the numbers.
EDIT: The tanks should wield reach weapons to cover ground, wear gauntlets to threaten your adjacent squares and I'll teach any animal I have bull rush. =D
EDS 2: Oh yeah, and I'm putting fleshrakers on my Summon Nature's Ally list.
EDS 3 @LethalShadow: 28-Point buy. And for some reason we start at 9 base rather than 8.

Uh... alright I shall get to work!
EDIT: So, my Telepath/Rogue is going with a sturdy build by taking Psionic Body at first level, but I'm stuck on what else to do with him. (Not to be metagaming, but I'd like to push him into Assassin around level 10.) Any suggestions for feats?

See, this is why I like playing with allies. I've never actually played a tank before. I already have the reach weapon, but I'll need to pick up some gauntlets when we have a little more money. Also full plate. Full plate is nice.
Also, the more animals, the merrier. I'm going dragon shaman at level two, and we'll see how deadly we are when we all have my auras
This should be fun. Id Ego, any timeframe on when you'll finish that character?

Ohh yes, definitely Dragon Shaman. Very nice. Did you know that Metamagic rods of Chain Spell go really well with DMM Persist Greater Magic Fang/Weapon? >=D
Draconic Aura is always a lot of fun. Dragon Shaman's can basically do anything as long as they have allies to support them. Scout with the rogues? Stealth time! Front line with the fighters? You have the hit points.

I'm sorry if I didn't clarify, but the average of 9 is for npcs and a way to compare your abilities to the world around them.
Also I would preffer if you don't go all munchkin on this game, or I will make it more difficult to even out.
And remember the characters are due friday so you can still make a major overhaul.

I'm just trying to put together some synergies. =( If I wanted to munchkin this game I would have played a venerable dragonwrought koblold, ran monk/rogue instead of cleric and went druid||master of many forms. That's munchkinism.
EDIT: And I'd min/max my stats, and use all my money to buy a herd of cows, train them to charge, retreat, and stop, then at lv1 be able to do about 20d12 trampling damage a turn to a wide swath of opponents. Yeah. Or max out my charisma to the point where I train three Roc creatures (or three dire tigers) at lv1, with no change of fail
EDIT 2: Looking back, having undeath as a domain really isn't good flavour for a druid, so I'll switch it to something more appropriate.
Actually, my last game I did go super-munchkin....without intending to. I wanted to be a rogue, and I was going to be a druid so I'd have an animal companion to help me flank. We were using pathfinder, which is somewhat different, and when I looked up the druid class, velociraptor was one of the available animal companions. I really wanted that raptor, and I got it...so when I started wild-shaping, I became the raptor. Who has five attacks. Each of which did 3d6 sneak attack damage. I outdamaged the paladin against evil enemies without using any abilities except wildshape..
That was munchkin-y. What I'm trying here isn't, or I'd have gotten one of the races with really insane ability bonuses like the dragonkin.

also added to my characters backstory.
I found a website to get ALL the books so I'm fine all around, do whatever you want.
I cannot argue with that ruling...
EDIT: although I hardly intent to argue with rulings. One of my friends argued with the DM of my last campaign, and that arguing kind of broke it.
I just....wow. Had to say something about Daring Outlaw. That is WAY insane.
