Just to clarify, Terry actually hasn't said anything so far. Everything he's been "saying" were just his thoughts.
Once Sy introduced himself, Terry immediately noticed him. His sight also confirmed that he was in fact seeing a giant frog as well...and that she was also talking. "...Did...that Corgi just talk? Okay, screw my earlier conclusion. I'm definitely dreaming, and this is the most vivid dream I've ever had yet. Why can I see everything so clearly though?"
He grasped at his face only to find his glasses perched on his nose. "...I dreamed my glasses? That's convenient."
However, his train of thought was interrupted when Jack approached him. Instinctively, Terry recoiled, but once he remembered he thought this was all a dream, he decided to answer Jack's question with a shrug.
"Well, since this is a dream..."
He suddenly stood up and walked over to Graka much closer than this shyness would normally permit. Terry began to stare at her intently, his face much closer than it should be and his head slightly tilted to the side.
"I wonder what my subconscious is telling me this time. What could a giant talking frog and talking Corgi mean...?"
"You are one to talk. You have quite the getup on yourself." as Raine smirks.
"I do like the socks though." The sarcasm in her voice was VERY easily picked up on.
Raine looks around some more and then slaps herself a few times trying to "wake" herself up.
"Damn, I'm really not dreaming. And no, I am not attending a costume party nor am I going to an S & M gathering...unfortunately."
"I was...working." Raine speaks in a low tone.
"You don't look like the typical New Yorker. Where are you from?"
Raine still has yet to lower her firearm.
"I dress for comfort and practicality miss. I'm originally from California but I was traveling through Europe for my own personal reasons." Jack wasn't bothered by the firearm pointed at him. His hand was on his own weapon but he wasn't interested in drawing it at the moment. He gathered the others were mostly confused of their situation. "I suggest we introduce ourselves to the group and keep ourselves friendly." Looking back down at the firearm he smirked. "That might mean lowering your weapon as a sign of goodwill unless shooting is your way to say hello."
"I normally shoot first and ask questions later but seeing we are all pretty much out of place here I guess the best option is to find out a little more about the people here and see if there are any connections."
Raine glances over at the corgi and then asks again... "Whose dog is that?!"
She also sees the talking frog-like creature and shakes her head... "This is totally unreal..."
Raine lowers her gun but keeps it in hand just in case and she approaches the rest of the group alongside Jack.
Sy looked to the woman, Raine, and raised an eyebrow. "Dog? Excuse me, my lady, but I must admit I take offense to such a term. I am a Viirinan."
He kept an eye on her weapon, a piece of technology similar to some on his home world, and twitched his ears some in thought.
He rubbed his chin again, sighing in discontent, and looked around. "It seems we all have no idea where or when we are...Does anyone else have anything to add to the collective pool of knowledge?"
"Names are always a good start, and information on whether or not anyone recognizes this area would be even better."
He chuckled at Raine and Sy's exchange. This was going to be fun to say the least. When he heard Icthy's proposition, he turned towards her. "Is the water at least drinkable?"
Ichtys shrugged. "Who knows? It's many miles from here. But water always means food. People. Even if it's the edge of the ocean, I bet the tuan's scientific techniques could make it drinkable."
She added, "I'm Ichtys, by the way. A freelancer. What are 'California' and 'Europe'? I've traveled all over the world and never heard of those places." Then again, she'd never seen any strange scaleless people like this one, either. "Could you and the...Vee-reenan be from a distant island chain?"
She stays at the edge of the forest, ready to bolt if the angry woman with the gun - Raine - makes a move for her.
*Go to them little one, it will be essential to your survival...*
Helix looked down at his sword, and nodded, speaking softly. "If thats what you think Neko, thats what we do."
He looked up, towards the man named Dream, and decided thats was where he should stand. The man was a wanderer like himself, and carried a blade. It was as good a place to start as any.
His blood pulsed, he saw one of them, a female, with a very hostile air about her, pointing what he could only assume was a weapon, though one that he had never seen before.
*Easy young one... nice and calm...*
He put his hand on Neko, preparing to draw him if things took a turn for the worse. He walked towards them, wondering what the hell was going on.
"Interesting gathering we have here, very interesting indeed..."
~With the group coming to their realizations of what they were in for, they started settling down. Time pieces such as watches have gone haywire, with digitals blinking 88:88 and analog hands spinning wildly out of control. High profile electronics are all but dead save for anything that runs solely off its mechanical nature~
AKA: Electronics such as handhelds, GPS's, don't work, and watches of all kinds are just generally screwed, while guns, tools, etc are fine.
Terry had been listening intently to exchanges up to this point, his gaze shifting from speaker to speaker. He took care to memorize as many details as possible about the others, especially when it came to the more exotic looking ones. However, he also began noticing that everyone else seemed just as confused as he was.
"Is it possible...that maybe this isn't...No...No, that's ludicrous..."
"My name is Jack Dream. It's an honor to meet you all." Jack bowed and noticed Helix's hand on his sword. "Interesting may I examine your sword if possible." Taking his own katana out, he offered it for examination. He wasn't planning on trading up but he was always interested in seeing if there were better styles of blades he could use on his journey.
"This is getting too odd. I'm too aware. I want to wake up..."
"...This is a dream, right? Then I shouldn't be able to come harm. Might as well try to find out. Besides...I'm...pretty sure this is a dream..."
Terry walked up to Jack and spoke in a voice just audible enough for him to hear.
"Excuse me. You are a proficient swordsman, yes? If so, please, cut me. My left hand preferably. Please don't cut part or all of it off, but cut me enough that it will hurt sufficiently. I'd like it to be painful."
Raine aims her gun at Terry. "Will this help?" as Raine laughs sadistically.
She then holsters her gun.
"While you all play with eachother's swords, I am going to try and pinpoint exactly where we are."
Raine starts wondering if something, maybe an alternate reality or so is the answer. She doubts it but is excited at the possibility that this could be a whole new world.
Ichtys is it? Raine asked. Call me Raine. How about you and I go on ahead and try and find out more about the area we are in?"
"The rest of you are more than welcome to join us."
"What should I do Neko? What ever should I do...? He whispered to the sword.
*It is okay little one, hand me to him, he is merely curious...*
"Fine, but you best not run from me Neko..."
With that he took Neko, still in its sheath, and handed it over to Jack Dream.
Hello Mr. Dream, I am Helix Stormweaver. I appreciate a good blade, even a great blade, but Neko here *Helix gestures towards his sword* Is one of a kind.
*Test him...*
"Might I suggest after this exchange of metal after this? Nothing to harsh or lethal, but to see two similar swordsman's skills?"
He smiled at Jack Dream, showing no malice, just general curiosity and the excitement of a new challenge.

"Might I suggest after this exchange of metal after this? Nothing to harsh or lethal, but to see two similar swordsman's skills?"
He smiled at Jack Dream, showing no malice, just general curiosity and the excitement of a new challenge.
Testing Neko's weight, Jack felt something odd about the blade. He didn't know what exactly it was but he felt there was something inside the sword itself. After examining the sword itself he gladly returned it. "It really is one of a kind. I'll gladly take you up on your offer but lets hold off for now until we've figured out where exactly we are and have better handle of our surroundings."
Turning towards the young boy named Terry as he sheathed his blade, Jack sighed at the request. "Look kid, if your going to walk around with that kind of attitude I'll do you one better and kill you off now. If you want help surviving thats one thing but if your going to give up now before we've even started then I'll gladly give you a quick death."
He then approached Ichtys and Raine without hesitation. "Listen, I'm willing to do my part in some scouting, you pick up a few things when you've traveled as long as I have." Glancing at Raine with a smile. "I like to do more than just "play with swords" miss."

"'Give up'? I think you may have misunderstood me. I'm sorry...I should have been clearer. I don't wish to throw my life away, but right now I have no reason to think everyone else here is more than a figment of my imagination. My hypothesis is that a sufficient enough shock will wake me up, or confirm that whatever this place is is real. You however seem to be convinced all this exists. Why?"
"Okay Ichtys is right, we need to travel to get to water and see if we are alone in this place or not. I want everyone to grab something to defend themselves with because we are going through the wild, there is no telling what kind of animals are here."
She then turns to Jack and draws her dagger.
"This is my blade, so light and concealable and just as deadly as the blade you carry with you."
"Oh, and Terry...come here and let me wake you up then." as she waves her dagger towards Terry.
"Anybody have anything else to share with us before we move?"
Helix took Neko back and secured him in his place at his right side.
"I agree sir, and forgive my hastiness, when we know exactly whats going on, then I request a trial."
*Good little one, he is very bright and very strong, a great ally, but an even greater enemy*
Whispering to Neko, Helix looked towards Raine "I agree, the dominant female is trying to get us to go with her, towards the shore, I say we go."
*I agree youngling, this group may be the only way to figure out what happened.
Helix walked towards Raine, hand on Neko as always.
"Raine, is it? Call me Helix. There's water through the forest, apparently I am not the only one who has sensed that, because it is a very large distance away. If we are to set out, I suggest we do it soon, while we are not being interrupted."
Jack smiled at her intimidation tactic. "Something tells me that you and are going to get along just fine..."
Standing between Terry and Raine, Jack gave a stern look at her. "Enough, the both of you." Crouching to Terry's level, Jack placed his hand on his shoulder. "Terry, listen to me. Your not sleeping, unfortunately your awake. Think for a minute. Your unable to hear anything in your dreams unless you've trained your mind to do so, and that is possible before you ask me, so your going to have to come to the realization that you are awake and possibly, and this is the part that your going to have to deal with the most...Are on a different dimension altogether. Now then...if you need some proof...." Jack winked at Raine. "Here is your proof!" He punched Terry in the gut without giving him much time to react. "That should resolve that problem."
Icthys nodded. It seemed that the group's mutual confusion wasn't going to be much help. She knew when it was futile to hold out for a better bargain.
"Seven to ten miles this way," she indicated, "there's a large body of water whose edges I couldn't spot from this distance. Teams of two, we'll cover a lot more ground than herding up in a mob. Jack with Raine, I'll be with Helix, and Sy, you can watch the one with a death wish and let us know if anyone else wakes up." She didn't much mind the swordsman's odd behavior. Plenty of half-insane mercs gave names to their weapons and babbled at them. Just another hazard of the job.
She continued, "Graka, you come along too. There's an odd quality about the leaves and the soil that it seems you'd be interested in studying."
[Icthys heads out into the forest toward the water. Every 30 minutes or so, she climbs a tree to spot-check, make sure they're still going in the right direction, and have advance warning of any large animals or other environmental hazards nearby.]
Terry crumpled as the air escaped his lungs, his body dropping to the floor almost immediately.
"Nothing ventured..."
He curled up on the ground, clutching his gut, but the pain wasn't receiving most of his attention. Instead, what was making his eyes widen and his heart rate quicken was that his feeling of security was absolutely shattered. All the confidence that enabled him to talk and interact with everyone else so far had completely vanished. These were real people. Real and dangerous people. And he was by himself...
"Oh God...This...This is real...All of it! What am I doing here?! Where am I?! What's going on?!"
He looked up at Jack, Raine, Helix, and Ichtys, the calm, curious look on his face replaced by one of abject terror. He wanted to run, but his paralyzing fear kept him unable to move and unable to speak.
"That works with me." Jack nodded in agreement. "The kid won't be much trouble for you, just make sure he doesn't kill himself." Brushing himself off, and staring down at Terry he pitied the boy. Young and away from his family, he knew exactly that kind of feeling of dread and uneasiness. He turned that into a drive though, something to keep himself going on his own journeys and if the boy was lucky then he'd learn to turn that into a drive as well. "Your going to need to get yourself together Terry. Something tells me there are very few of us who will willingly stick our neck out for you unless you find something worth contributing to group."
Turning to the rest of the group he smiled. "Alright then, shall we be off to this source of water before we lose too much light?"
Helix knew what to do, there was no point in arguing while he had no clue what was going on. He saw Icthys nod, explain a few things and then take off towards the forest.
With good speed and agility, Helix did the same. Not one to be left behind, he was good at taking orders. It didn't mean that he couldn't think for himself, merely a tool to have those around him underestimate him.
He kept pace with Icthys, always 10 paces to her right flank, constantly alert.

Raine is very flustered and doesn't really know how to react to what is going on now.
"Ok. Viri.whatever it is. Do you have a name? And where are you from?"
