I will occasionally update the In Game information snippets. Whenever an entry is made, it can be expanded if the characters decide to investigate. I added the Eiffel Tower and the place around it for now.
Name: Trystan Grey Age: 22 Sex: Male Hair: Light blonde, short, combed Eyes: Brown Height: 5'8" Weight: 132 lbs Build: Slender, but toned
Clothing: At the time of the incident, he's wearing a fine white suit with black buttons and cufflinks. His shoes are also white with black lace. After the incident, his suit has suffered several tears and multiple scorch marks on points where electricity passed through his body. Dirt has also sullied the suit after Trystan has been thrown on the ground from the resulting (for lack of better term) "explosion".
Background: Born in the upper class of British society, Trystan has lived a comfortable life. However, after his third year at Oxford University, he's grown tired of the monotony of his studies and decided to take a year off and see the world firsthand, an endeavor his father is reluctantly paying for. With his funds secured, Trystan decided to kick off his journey at the World Fair in Paris.
Personality: Kind, reserved, articulate, and amiable. He has a low boredom threshold and wishes to experience everything the world has to offer. However, except for a relationship with his best trainer, his friendships in his life have been fairly superficial, causing him to feel somewhat wanting in companionship. He doesn't like conflict and always tries to find a peaceful resolution, and he will draw his sword to defend himself only if absolutely necessary.
Attributes and Abilities: Trystan is an exceptional fencer. He started as a child and immediately enjoyed it. Seeing his talent for the sport, his parents (or rather, the trainer his parents hired) conditioned him into a champion. He began winning medals and championships in his childhood and his success continued into his adolescence. His skill with the blade was so formidable, he even recieved the honor of representing Great Britain in Men's Individual Sabre at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin. During the World Fair, he had his favorite sabre on his person, the Queen's Guard.
As a member of the aristocracy, he also has knowledge and experience in music, theatre, literature, art, poetry, dancing, equestrianism, and philosophy, as well as some proficiency in speaking French, German, and Latin.
After studying in Oxford for three years, his amassed knowledge now includes anthropology, sociology, psychology, history, and cultural studies. However, he has absolutely no talent for mathematics or any physical science. Any knowledge of "street-smarts" are also nonexistant. Trystan is not sure of what he wants to do after he graduates, but he has a vague idea of becoming an ambassador.
Perk: Restraint: Trystan has never taken a life, and isn't keen on doing so anytime soon. His respect for all life instead causes him to land debilitating blows that either paralyze or hinder the opponent, when he could have easily chosen to deliver the finishing strike. This combined with his unquestionable skill enables him to perform strikes that would otherwise be fatal if attempted by a lesser practitioner.
I scanned quickly through your (short) post history, and it seems like you already play something up from 3 or 4 games. No offense buddy, but I rather have these few dedicated players right here than adding a #7, if not #8, that has many other commitments to fulfill.
Thanks for posting anyway, if I have people drop out/characters die, I might shoot you a message!
Just so everyone knows: Today and over the weekend, I won't be around for the day. I am at my paintball field, preparing a birthday, reffing games, and such. Thusly, any DM interaction has to wait until I am home later the day/early night. But, please, knock yourselves out and go ahead!
Name: Jasna Nikolev
Age: 31
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 120 lbs.
Nationality: Serbian
Eyes: green
Hair: brown
Skin tone: Medium
Scar: Bullet wound on her upper thigh
Coat: Her father's military jacket, which she still wears proudly. she wears it informally however, open with a white t-shirt under it.
Shirt: White t-shirt
Pants: Blue-gray pants
Feet: Leather boots
Hands: Riding gloves
Obligatory Steampunk Goggles: Oh yes of course, for riding her
motorbike.
Bio: Her father was killed in WWI when the Austro-Hungarian army
invaded at the start of the war. She took up his rifle and his
military jacket and followed the Serbian soldiers, aiding them as an
unseen extra rifleman without their knowledge. She was discovered by a
Serbian infantry squad and awarded a civilian medal for bravery. She
did well as a long range rifleman, having excellent eyesight and
accuracy.
After the war, she traveled Europe on her motor bike, doing odd jobs,
never staying in one place long. Which brought her to the world's fair
in 1937...
Personality: Sociable and proud of her role in the war. She often
challenges men to shooting contests for profit and to show off her
skills with a rifle. They never take her seriously until she takes
their money.
The downside of course is that she is very cocky about her skills.
She also just kind of drifts along through life, not really settling
down or setting goals for herself. She lives in the moment.
Perks: Innate rangefinding and trajectory calculation.
Basically, she can measure distances with pinpoint accuracy (obv. good
for sniping) and also foresee/predict vectors of moving objects. As a
side-effect, she is extremely good at catching and throwing things,
too, which is useful outside the sniper-thing.
As an amplified version, she can change her vision-type from the
humans 180° with 120° of binocular (3D) vision to a more predatory
"tunnel vision" with a zoom effect. This would become active if the
"shot" or thing she was looking for was extremely important to her/her
cause.
A brilliant mind. A brilliant body. That was what Samuel Freeman saw in the mirror as he readied himself for work. Sam had always thought highly of himself, but today would make him something to be truly awed by. By dinner with his fiance, Maria, he would be more than a man; a god (or so he fancied). Sam, along with his co-worker and friend Alex Baldur, were about to engage in a drastic experiment in human biometric augmentation. A serum they had spent months concocting was what Sam would be testing today.
He had always had a natural talent for singing: he had perfect pitch at age 4, and ever since then his parents had been getting him voice lessons, enrolling him in school choires, and generally pushing him to extend his gift as far as possible. However, Sam was his own man now, free to pursue that which really interested him: science. And science he would pursue today.
Age: 24
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 155 lbs
Skin color: Black
Hair color: Brown
Eye color: Brown
Origin: New Orleans
Steampunk Goggles: Nowhere to be found (I must have left them in my other game)
Getup: Pretty boring, kahki pants, white button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up, patterned brown tie, penny loafers, tan fedora.
Personality: Very friendly, and extremely cocky. He's very proud of his accomplishments, his past, his shirt, in fact pretty much everything. He knows how intelligent he is and can use it to his advantage. He's also very brash, being sure to let someone know if he does or doesn't like them. He's been in a few fights in his life (and won most of them), but he'd much rather out-argue someone than have it come to blows.
Abilities: Sam's serum was designed to give him super strength. Strongman Sam, he fancied. While it did make his entire body much more durable in general, he received no such powers. However, after the Rift, he noticed that he could elevate his vocal volume far beyond his normal extent of 90 decibels (his new limit is ~250 DB on a forceful shout), and when he synergizes this with his perfect pitch, he can find the resonant frequency of a room, and shout at that frequency to go much louder. Because of the serum's effect on his body, he doesn't harm himself when projecting such a sound. The serum also somewhat augmented his volume (the way it altered his skin's physical structure, his insides now deflect sound much better), and while it gave him the ability to be a little louder, he conversely has difficulty being quiet. Speaking softly is a major struggle, and his whispers are sarcastically loud.
He also is very skilled in playing the violin, but it gives him no extraordinary powers, since he's not better than the Devil or anything; and finally, he makes a mean gumbo.
Sam is at the fair to present an earpiece designed to help the hard-of-hearing enjoy music from a record player (read: precursor to headphones). He has not yet presented his invention, since he has another few hours to kill and has walked over to Tesla's exhibition.
