That would work. I was planning on going wu jen/swordsage into swiftblade/swordsage for some awesome gishness. I'd obviously be buff focused, with utility spells being secondary.
I'd also be a good melee damage dealer, and between a dragon shaman and my character we might not need a tank-especially if the rest of the part is melee as well, as it looks.

Alright. I'll definitely take cleric as one of my classes for the healer role. Still leaning toward Mr. Cleric Monk. Unless we really need someone ranged(we have a battle mage somewhere don't we)?
You can cast spells based on the spells given to you by your class. For instance, my character has 20 charisma--enough that he is 'allowed' to cast spells at or below level 10. However, there are no level 10 spells, and sorcerers only have access to level 3 spells at level 6 (check your PHB). That means that, even though he could 'technically' cast higher level spells, and he even 'technically' gets bonus level 4 and 5 spell slots, he can't use any of that stuff until he levels some more.
EDIT: BTW, I reverted to sorcerer rather than warmage so I could be metamagic specialist. I primarily use fire, so if we run into fire-resistant or -immune enemies, there could be trouble.
EDIT2: mai god, is everyone playing a charisma-heavy character? We are gonna have an easy time in towns....

I'm not. Cha is actually my dump stat, which is weird for me. Of course, we've also bee allowed to roll for very high stats, so I'll still have 14 charisma.

I'm getting there. I still need to write in the flavor for the character. I have a decent picture of this guy in my head, his story, what he looks like, etc... but I've been at this for hours tonight, having to look up a lot of stuff when I'm used to having a DM over shoulder.
I'd love some feedback from anyone interested. I think he's a pretty cool character. Also looking forward to dodge and mobility. I hate running through crowds and getting whacked at.

I'll be sad if people don't start calling The Chain Veil "Fleetwood Mac."
Looking over the character later. Make sure you cite where extra things (like the feats I see) are from.
Left Hand Column of feats are actual feats. Four of them are my feats for... being human, making a character, being level 3, being level 6. They are pretty vanilla feats from the players handbook.
The lower three are bonus feats that every level 6 soulknife has. They can be found through the SRD:Soulknife.
The right-hand column aren't feats, but just special abilities bards and/or soulknifes have. I wasn't sure where to put them. Maybe most people put stuff like that under spells?
The entirety of my character was put together from the SRD for soulknife and bard and the Player's handbook.
Everything in the left-hand column is dragon shaman stuff (PHB II). The right-hand column is racial bonuses (Planar Handbook), then the feats he gets from being level 6 (Complete Arcane and PHB 1), then the alternative class feature metamagic specialist (PHB II). His huge hitpoints come from the escalation mage boost.
I'll finish up his skills and items later.
EDIT: Hate to tell you this, Promatim, but your stats are actually impossible. Did you forget it was 'roll five dice, keep the best 3?' Because the only way to have multiple stats over 20 as a human is if you forgot to drop things.

Yeah, Promatim, better get those stats figured out.
9)Ability Scores: Two sets of 5d6b3, seven times, choose the best one (and six); you may raise the highest stat to an 18 if it isn't already.
I need things spelled out with a new DM. I've never seen "roll five, keep the best three." I've seen "roll four, keep the best three." Or "roll four, have fun with your OP character." I assumed that we were just making ridiculously strong characters.
My bad! Here's hoping that nerfing my stats doesn't break anything... that's frustrating, I put hours into this character.
Okay, so redoing it, I now have 18*-16-15-14-13-10 (The 18 is actually a 17)
Edit - Alright, the fixes weren't hard. Hopefully I didn't mess anything up too bad. I'm pretty sure that I didn't take any feats that required a Con of +1 or anything.
Relevant flaws are allowed. I'm still thinking about taking one. I might want yet another +1 CA to fire spells
My character is done except for name and backstory, btw.
Also, I have a suggestion for you, Promatim: You might consider getting magic items to boost relevant stats instead of +1 weapons. Magic items are pretty awesome.

True... there isn't really any need for me to have weapons, as a soulknife. <.<
If I drop the longbow, I free up a feat as well as some gold. I do like the 110 yard range, vs a soulknife, but... unless we're in an antimagic field the size of a football stadium, I shouldn't need it.
Any suggestions? Swapped out my bow for gloves of dexterity +2.
Definitely feel a lot better walking around with an AC of 20. Now I just need to figure out what feat to replace my longbow with!
Edit: Oh, weapon finesse, duh. Now, I forget, do I have to take weapon finesse for each weapon, same as weapon focus? Or does it automatically apply to all light weapons?
Edit 2: Also, does weapon finesse only substitute my strength for my dex on attack rolls, or also for damage?
Sorry for the noob questions, I have many.
Edit!: Google is triumphant and I'm finding some anwsers on my own.
Edit edit: While I'm asking noob questions, is weapon focus +1 Attack Rolls, +1 damage? Or is it just +1 attack rolls? I've looked it up in a few places. As near as I can tell, it's +1 attack rolls, and that's it. But when I ask an actual human being, they say it also applies to damage. Verdict?
Goin for the second set
Edit: Sorry, thought it was other way around. and i am a little confused as how to continue. i go with the best six, which i did, now i can bump one of th 17's to an 18? right? then i go on from there?
Edit: fianaly got to trek the 13.6 miles it takes to get to the internet place i use in town. so, going through all this, goliaths are okay right? and to let everyone know, i'm going to end up going tank, going Monk/Fighter. do i need to stick with the +1 La? And are you sure i can't do a lawful evil algn?
I'd also be a good melee damage dealer, and between a dragon shaman and my character we might not need a tank-especially if the rest of the part is melee as well, as it looks.

So, as a bard with ridiculous charisma, I can cast 1 level 6 spell per day. Unfortunately, I only can know up to level 2 spells. Yaaay bards? Oh well.

Edit again: I'm having trouble coming up with armor that doesn't hose my dexterity bonus.
Anyone have any bright ideas on what I should spend my starting gold on?

One of the few books I don't have on PDF. If you can send me a PM with all the details of the PrC, I can see if it is okay.

My last exam is tomorrow night. After that I'll have plenty of time to get the character out.

N_A has one level of a prestige class on the sorcerer side; it's 6||5/1
Slightly cooler armor, here I come.

Same link as earlier, but I'll repost it for approval.
Also, I'm confused about how many skill points I should get.
1st level. (Bard+Int+Human)*4=32
Higher levels. (Bard+Int+Human)=8
Total = 72 skill points. Is that right?
Another question-are flaws kosher? Even just one? I realized I reallllly want an extra feat

Also, why the second set? The first one (with two 17s) is infinitely better.
And what do you mean on one side of the gestalt? thought it was a all around deal?
