Creation Rules:
D&D 3.5 edition
Lv 1
32 point buy
Average health, with maximum 1st level
No psionics, soulmelding, shadowcasting, binding, truenaming (I don't know the systems. Tome of Battle is fine)
Any books or magazines are fair game unless it's 3rd party, but you must ask for everything outside of the SRD. Things are subject to approval on a case-by-case basis.
Have fun!
EDIT: Run homebrew by me an I may allow it I'm fine with homebrew if it is something you're testing out and I judge you to be a competent player. This is a nice format for trying out new things; the thing I mostly despise about homebrew is how often I see it used to easily gain more power than other players. This is mostly a syndrome I see on GiantITP and sometimes on Mythweavers, where somebodys special snowflake homebrew class is absolutely ridiculous and they milk it to the chagrin of the DM and the rest of the party.
Interested, however I am curious as to the average heath for max 1st lvl chars. Does that mean that you don't get your first HD full? So Wiz/Sor would start with 2hp+con?

If you allow homebrew, I'd like to try this Ranger Revision out, pending your review, of course.
Sure, although I think Astral Expertise and Extraplanar Expertise should be raised to minimum level 10, and Aquatic Focus rasied to minimum level 5. It's an interesting take on ranger. Good to see somebody from the BG boards

Erm, maximum at first meant that you get your first HD full. So 4 + con

I assume you mean that Ethereal Expertise should have its min level increased too? I've made the tweaks you suggested and will be making my character shortly. She's going to be a Leopard Style Forest Master! At least to start with.

Erm, I meant the Extraplanar Expertises (Elemental).
Erm, I meant the Extraplanar Expertises (Elemental).
Well, Astral Expertise, Ethereal Expertise, and Extraplanar Expertise were all at min level 5, and have since been edited to be min level 9, so I think I've got the bases covered.
Also, here's my character Petra Taliesen, Wild Elf Ranger (Revised).
EDIT: I'm going to work on her background in the next few hours as I have time.
When I said 32 point buy, I meant standard point buy, not the Mamelon Point Buy that some people like to use on the forums. Sorry mate

Looks good! Nice choice in surname
I'll wait for our initial battery of players to finish their characters before we get started. (Plus it totally isn't because I haven't finished writing the first contract)
I'm interested, and I have this Homebrew character class I want to try out...A Chaotic Neutral Hellfire Knight. Of course if you don't approve I'll find something else.

Neat class. As long as I read those Spell-Like Abilities correctly and they indeed require a standard action to perform, I've got no problem with you playing the class.

Normal Point Buy system of course. I'll be posting my character soon enough.
Dread Necromancers are fine. When the get up in levels the constant bodies can be somewhat of an annoyance but I've since learned how to incorporate that presence into encounters. One of the better players in a campaign I ran for half a year at the local shop played a Dread Necromancer.

Outstanding. That means I might get to play one of my favorite concepts, a Darfellan Dread Necromancer/Crusader/Jade Phoenix Mage.
He's missing a feat isn't he? If that's the War domain you have, and Kord's favored weapon is Greatsword, then you should still have either your Human bonus feat or your 1st level character feat left to choose.
EDIT: Oh and my backstory is up for reading perusal.

I'm liking everyone's characters so far.
Domains are Strength and Luck. Kord does not have the War domain.

We'll start when I'm ready, tomorrow at the latest. For the record, I won't be keeping track of stuff like food for this campaign. As mercenaries you're competent enough to carry enough food and water.

For character sheets, I reccomend the online sheet software on http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetindex.php
Alternatively, I reccomend the post-DMG2 format here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dd/20060707a
Anyways, hopefully this will go better and I'll have a character up sometime soon.

Here's a character sheet.
I'd call that weird except I once played a Ratkin/Beguiler/Warblade/Jade Phoenix Mage, so...
