Watch as MTGS screws up all the glorious formatting I set up in my .rtf document. Purple is stuff I don't yet have, but plan on taking unless something amazing shows up. This is probably much more lower-powered than the expectations people had. AC through the roof though.
If there are any Magical Beasts native to the setting that are iconic I could consider looking into soulmelds of them. (Emulating traits of magical beasts is kind of the Totemist's thing.) I originally planned on Lammasu Mantle for firebreathing attack, but if Caex can come up with something different I'd be interested. I intentionally avoided the gazillion natural attacks Totemists could achieve, and I'm not sure if I want to enter a firebreathing competition with a DFA.
Belenus was born in Coldrock, to a poor family. He was quite a bright kid though, and his mother decided to do her best to train him to be knowledgeable of as many things as possible, in hopes that he would be accepted to the wizards college in Facture. Facture was the only city known to having survived a Dawn after all. Belenus himself was more interested in the fables of magical creatures near his home, and was actually quite intent on staying there come what may.
Nevertheless, he agreed to travel to Facture for the entry exams, and to his surprise ended up passing them. At that point any attempt to negotiate against staying in the relative safety of the city walls would've been in vain. He stayed there and began the journey of becoming an apprentice wizard, but doing a fairly bad job at it. He did great in theoretical subjects, much thanks to his mother's attempts at educating him from a young age, but the practice just wasn't there. It's not that he lacked in magical capability or he would have never passed the entrance exams, just that it seemed to manifest in rather peculiar ways. It certainly wasn't controlled wizardry, and it did not seem like any form of sorcery either. There were some accusations of him being a Warlock, but even those were quickly debased.
Having family in Coldrock and being a rather unsuccessful student, he was a prime candidate when the college needed someone there to investigate why the village had turned silent. Perhaps some magical anomaly was taking place there, perhaps some sign of the dawn coming. Either way it needed to be investigated, and it's not like Belenus was reluctant to go. In fact, he was rather thrilled to spend some time in the nature outside the city.
Young man of around average height, pacing in a small circle. His clothes are reminiscent of those worn by the students of magic in Fracture, but the condition they're in is really rather unbecoming. The posture of the man does not look like that of someones who has spent their years bent over reading a book, and his nervous behaviour does not suggest great patience required from the practicioners of the art. The man looks more like a guard than a wizard, he seems quite tough and something about him signals safety. The slightly torn cowl of the uniform is thrown on the back, revealing unkempt short hair so black it seems almost dark blue in the correct light, and eyes that are definitely blue. There's a little stubble on his chin as well.

Scalding Gust, because you want to breathe fire that extinguishes fires. With a spell-like ability of a 1-round duration CC spell that was nerfed to instantenous for whatever reason, so it cannot actually effect creatures of medium size or larger, nor can it be used against ranged enemies to reduce their hit chance. It truly is the best invocation. (Amusingly enough, it's still pretty good in desert campaigns because you can use sand attack.)
Enduring Exposure might be worth looking at if you want to breathe on top of the melee guy(s).

Background: She calls herself Ash, because that is often what she leaves.
She doesn't really have another name; she's been called Ash for as long as she can remember. Left on the steps of a temple within hours of her birth, there's always been something odd about the human girl that none could put their finger on. It isn't her looks- she's quite beautiful (until she smiles), but rather an unproveable, untouchable /something/ that sets her as different from others.
Especially since that day she started literally breathing fire.
That shocked her, but shocked others more, and the temple cast her out as something unnatural. Ash discarded the name they'd given her and took Ash as a pseudonym- after all, her world had turned to ash in her hands. Alone at the age of sixteen, she made her own precarious way to the town of Coldrock, where she made a living by identifying items adventurers found on their trips. Where the innate ability to do so comes from she still isn't sure, but she knows it's part of her, much like her eyes or her hair.
The fire within her burned for something more, something stronger, and she left Coldrock, chasing the rumor of a powerful item found somewhere to the east of the town. Gathering up her supplies, she left, alone as usual.
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

Each of your characters must have something important linking them to Coldrock in their backstory, as well as a reason they were away from Coldrock at the beginning of the game. A family member, a friend, a business, a house, something. If you want your character to know another character (or all other characters), work with the other player(s) to make that happen. Otherwise, we'll start off with each player investigating the silence of Coldrock individually and have them meet up over the course of the first bit of the game.

My character would find it deeply insulting but be unable to do anything... since he would basically be a second class citizen and used/bred to not retort to "his betters" (best example i can think of is the black american character from the movie Patriot).
@Caex: Ok sounds awesome ill go ahead and start working on the sheet, it should be up by sunday at the latest.

I don't know, getting into Ash's headspace regarding a bipedal cow (to her).....
Yeaaaaaah.
I'm gonna edit some stuff in later, like gear and languages.
Caex, is the MIC okay?
I think it will be weirder(a bigger mystery) to see someone who is apparently not aware of Minotaurs in Caex world than whether the next Dawn actually terminates the world or not XD.
Since AoK is asking about MIC are we starting with standard 1st level gear? or how much money exactly?

Yeah, there's virtually no chance Ash hasn't seen or interacted with a minotaur. They're widespread and there are quite a lot of them.
200 starting gold. No MIC for starting items. There will be plenty of chance for magic/uncommon items later.
And don't forget to update backstories with the criteria I mentioned in my last post.

Ok guys, outside of Name (Minos is not the final name) and the Bio i think im pretty much done check my first post in the thread for the character sheet, Caex let me know if the Hammer will cost more due to its size.
EDIT:
I am accepting suggestions on how to spend my remaining 100gp.
Also Caex about having Intimidate work with STR instead of CHA, yay or nay?
One last bit, im putting the guy as NE with the following reasoning in mind: the guy is basically helping himself here, he is being promised freedom (his clan is currently doing indentured servitude) and while he does want that he has also seen a lot of abuse to him and his own, so means to and end type of deal here while at the same time doing the whole "bow to your betters and be as out of the way as you can" type of thing
Marbles (A&E) and Eggshell Grenades (OA) are pretty good combat options. The latter still remains useful at epic levels, because it doesn't allow for saves. Liquid Sunlight (CSco) is a everburning torch for 20g.

Sorry been distracted with AoK's new thread and RL internship (Had to do a research presentation forum today actually), will finalize the backstory this weekend and be ready, as much as i want to get marbles or stuff like those they seem rather contrary to the nature of the character.
Edit:
@Caex; how about the intimidate thing? can we make it work of Str instead of Cha?
There is a Pathfinder Feat that allows you to do just that. I thought there was one for 3.5, but it turned out to be Strength instead of Charisma to Leadership.

Suggestions on my one invocation? I was considering Beguiling Influence to scare the ***** out of folks.

Enduring Exposure might be worth looking at if you want to breathe on top of the melee guy(s).

If we can come up with something similar to the backstory we discussed for the last campaign, I'd be going for either a Swashbuckler or a fighter. Let me toss you that PM I meant to send earlier.
Will have tomorrow, I promise. Dun kill me.

Did I forget anything?
Oh, pic.

Minotaurs are large
No +2 to swim and use rope

I think it will be weirder(a bigger mystery) to see someone who is apparently not aware of Minotaurs in Caex world than whether the next Dawn actually terminates the world or not XD.
Since AoK is asking about MIC are we starting with standard 1st level gear? or how much money exactly?
200 starting gold. No MIC for starting items. There will be plenty of chance for magic/uncommon items later.
And don't forget to update backstories with the criteria I mentioned in my last post.

Go ahead with the Str instead of Cha. We'll say players can use Cha or Str for Intimidate checks, whichever is higher.
EDIT: I see Amadi updated his bio as well.
