Cassandra let her parasol slip through her hands, catching it by the handle and pressing the silver tip into the ground in front of her with a click. She lifted her other hand non-chalantly. Despite the shadows around her face, it was easy to see a predatory smile.
**With a quick motion for a drunkard, the nobleman grabbed the market girl by the arm as she tried to sidle away from what was surely a fight about to break out, and he proceeded to roughly toss her into Cassandra, and book it for the exit towards the Rue Saint Catherine.**
**The girl was still a little apprehensive, but seemed to be no worse for wear. Cassandra notices her holding on to something tightly, maybe a torn page or parchment from off the drunk.**
Artemisia - Thank you, milady. I dunno what I would have done if you hadn't come along.
Cassandra folded the paper up and tucked it away in her clutch. Pulling up her parasol she wrapped an arm around the shaken girl and started leading her in the opposite direction from the drunk.
Cassandra- Come on dear, lets get you away from here. Your head will clear better that way.
Artemisia - Oh, really? It wouldn't be too much trouble? I don't think I could possibly face them so soon. I kinda sorta... screamed about not needing their money before I stormed out, and look where it got me.
Artemisia - You are very pleasant, my lady. I hope we can continue this conversation when it's more convenient. And thank you most kindly for your hospitality, I don't want to keep you from your further business.
**The noble stumbled around off balance, haphazardly pulling out a rapier that only made it halfway out of its sheath.**
Drunk - ... You little strumpet! You dare interfere in my affairs? I'll have your head for th--Wait, who are you? Did they send you after me?
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
Cassandra- Now what do you think, sugar?
**With a quick motion for a drunkard, the nobleman grabbed the market girl by the arm as she tried to sidle away from what was surely a fight about to break out, and he proceeded to roughly toss her into Cassandra, and book it for the exit towards the Rue Saint Catherine.**
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
Cassandra- Y'all right there, hon?
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
Cassandra- Ah, much better. I think that act scared him pretty well off.
Artemisia - Thank you, milady. I dunno what I would have done if you hadn't come along.
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
**She handed Cassandra what turned out to be the torn page of an old book, a very old book. What little she could make out was this**:
by Valerian Hol--- Immor---- Aca----- Lib----
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
Cassandra- Come on dear, lets get you away from here. Your head will clear better that way.
Artemisia - I--um, thank you milady. But I have no where to go.
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
Artemisia - ... Artemisia Levi
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
Cassandra- Oh dear, you think your family name would scare me off?
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
Cassandra- It was a pleasure to meet you, Miss Levi. I look forward to it.
To live is to hope, and while we breathe, we hope and live.
