What is crime? Crime is what society doesn't want, plain and simple. More specifically, crime is what the people at the top of society don't want. Lady Justice peeks through her blindfold whenever the rich and the powerful raise it for her. In the 21st century there are no commandments, no objective morality, no honour. There is either the criminal or the state. The state IS god.
Is crime not just, then? Who are they to condemn gangsters and thugs, they who support an infinitely more cruel and dangerous organization. If the rebels, the dissidents, the questioners wish to flaunt the will of the state, is that not commendable? Every person can change the world around them, and such a conscious rebellion is a stand, a change against the state.
Who are they to judge?

This is where you sign up for my d20 modern game, where you'll play as a gangster: smuggling drugs, battling for turf, profiteering, and evading the long arm of the law.
We'll start at level 1, using the standard rules for d20 modern. I'm just going off of the SRD, so I'll just arbitrarily decide when you level up (because WotC doesn't disclose XP information).
I'm dealing with some computer issues right now and posting from my girlfriend's computer but I should still be able to participate. I'm looking at playing a Charismatic Hero.
Consider this a tentative "interested" post. My internet is screwy right now. If I can get it fixed, I can make a character. If not, oh well. I'm working on fixing it right now. Hopefully I can get it working by tonight.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
I'm interested in playing, my only problem is I haven't exaclty played a d20 modern kind of game. If you can link me to a rule book or just give me a quick points in how different it is from normal D&D I'd love ot play.
found the link. Need to look next time. ><
Thinking between a fast hero and a strong hero...I'm leaning more towards a fast hero. I'm thinking of starting out as a fast hero and then as we progress, multiclass as a strong one.

Also: Are we doing point buy system or 4d6?
You could do either 32-point buy or 4d6b3, whatever floats your boat. No re-rolls or switching after rolling, though

I'm thinking of making a Cha/Fast character. Basically an infiltrator that collects information by joining revival gangs and taking out the heads of said gangs. :3

Oh question: What occupations are banned if any?
None really, just make sure it makes sense.

My original character concept was Tough/Smart mechanic chick. If we're going to Cuba, I want to be driving the boat.
Late Edit: I'm going to have to bow out of this one. School has picked up with a vengeance and I won't be on here as often as I used to.

I can only speak from my knowledge of D&D, but it is generally better to diversify. Two charismatic heroes is fairly redundant, for example.
Considering Fast or Smart hero.

There was once [The Pack], but no more.

Do you need proof of rolls? Also, if your willing to move this thing to skype I have a dice program that is designed for it. =3
32 point buy works for me.

He'd be good with stealth and long-range combat. Also good at infiltration and sabotage after a few level-ups.

Y'all can just roll in this thread if you want, I even typed and noparsed the code! I'd rather stay away from skype for this.
