Emeryn stands protectively near Dieknuh as she regathers her things (?), hears from Reed and receives the boots from Paravrax. "Lady Dieknuh, please forgive us. We suffered some resistance as we searched for you, but I'm sure it was nothing compared to your feelings being captive and alone. Only by Finian's luck were we able to reach you in time." She kneels in a penitent gesture.
(Eventually following along into the secret area.)
Reed takes the daggers off of the three dead cultists, if they had them.

As he slips some of the obvious materials into his bag, he nonchalantly states: "Ah, I suppose the old priest wouldn't mind a fellow cleric borrowing some supplies." He then inspects the desks for supplies, before turning to the heart and squatting down.
"Interesting. Ger'Cath, do you know why there are chimneys in here?"

@Reed--Red and Blue each have a dagger on their belts, plus you can recover the one you threw, for a total of three daggers.
The tapestries, as you look closer, tell yet a different story about the world's origin. The murals in the entryway showed a version closer to the tales you heard in your youth, with a few subtle differences, but these tapestries are even more of a departure. In particular, it shows the gods forming the world not from a void, but around a black sphere ringed in red. It also shows Lander wielding a greatax, something you've never seen the god of nature depicted with before.
Ger'Caith cocks his head to one side. Whassa chimney? he asks, confused.
@Strathalmere--you recover one arrow.
You recognize that this would have been the high priest's private chambers. No servants would be allowed in such a space, save for his two most trusted acolytes. Because of this, magics would be in place to make sure that the area remained clean and livable without the need for servants. It seems the enchantments placed on the area remain unbroken despite the area being abandoned for so long.
You recognize there are several powerful spells woven into the blue tiles on the floor, and into the threshold of the secret doorway. The spells aren't harmful; in fact, they serve to keep the area clean and livable without the need for servants. They also provide a preservative effect on cloth, parchment, etc. There are probably valuable books or scrolls nearby that the priests of the temple would have wanted to protect.
Lucial, recognizing the type of enchantment used in the room, quickly began poring over the scrolls and books located in blue-tiled areas for any useful information.

dat's a fireplace. you put wood in da bottom, den make it be on fire, and da smokestone in da top absorbs all da smoke so da room don't get all smoky. do dey not have fire where you come from?
Room 2
The door to the room is unlocked. (OOG: It's difficult to see the doors in the map image, but it's a double stone door directly opposite the small side corridor.) This room would have been the high priest's private office. As you enter the room, a series of candles atop the mantle of the massive stone fireplace magically light themselves, bathing the room in golden light.
To the right as you enter (along the south wall) is a small shrine/altar. Directly across from the door is a large wooden desk. There is a scroll on the desk. The chair is cushioned with red velvet. There is a meeting table with three chairs in front of a massive fireplace. There is a wooden door on the north wall (adjacent to the fireplace). The door is unlocked.
Since I know someone will pick up the scroll, and I have a busy afternoon...

Nodding to Paravrax in silent thanks, Dieknuh laces up her new boots. Maintaining as much modesty as her rags allow, she rummages through the room for additional equipment. From one of the cultists she retrieves the book used for recording her tortured cries. She scavenges a belt from one of the corpses, using it to carry the book. Torn, bloodstained robes are made into a makeshift tunic and skirt of sorts. The dwarf then selects a suitable torture implement from the walls to use as an improvised weapon. I may not have my spellbook or weapons, but that doesn't mean that I can't fight.
In Emeryn's presence, Dieknuh gives her a warm smile, bowing her head. "Forgiveness? Surely it is I who must apologise, Lady Emeryn. I acted carelessly and brought danger to the whole expedition. I am in debt to all of you." As Dieknuh prepares to leave the room, she reaches for Emeryn's shoulder, meaning to pull her aside for a moment. "Your empathy is much appreciated nonetheless." Grinning, she adds, "This is the second time you've saved now, Lady Emeryn."
The weary wizard then catches up with the rest of the party, ready to show the other cultists just how much she appreciated her accommodations.
"Since Reed seems to be a little stingy with those daggers he is hoarding, you might find this a more reasonable replacment weapon." I reach over my shoulder and draw the staff that has been hanging beside my bow and hand it over to Dieknuh.
I then reach down and scratch Starfall behind the ears. "Don't let wander off again my friend".

Oh! I didn't realize her weapons weren't in the room. Again, must have forgotten after the break. If a Dagger works better for you, you're welcome to one.
At the risk of helping you all out too much, all Dieknuh's stuff is...elsewhere. There's nothing that should cause problems in the Blue Area of the Moon high priest's quarters, just don't forget to go back and look for them near the Inquisitorium before you set off for any real combat.
Emeryn's grip tightens on the hilt of the greatsword, her brow clouded with painful memory. "And still too many that could not be saved. But now we will return that fear and suffering upon those who wrought it."
She clears her head then, and looks towards the others, heading into the newly revealed area. She notices that Dieknuh is still a bit weakened, and returns a touch on the dwarf's shoulder, whispering a brief holy word.
(Lay on Hands for 3 to Dieknuh, 17/20 remaining)
In the priest's chambers, Emeryn remarks on the excellent condition, and that the defilers had never found this place. "No matter how dark these forsaken ones may be, the light of the gods shines through, even here."
She makes her way across the office and opens the door to the next room.
OOG--I'm keeping a running tally of how many books and of what subject area he's come into contact with.
For reasons. :ominous:
The cat smiles, as much as a copper-plated clockwork is capable. Ai just learnz, I don't cast. ya gots ta have thumbs ta magic.
The shrine, while archaic compared to modern shrines, has all the typical elements of a generic shrine to the gods. No one specific god is placed above any other. Being from before the Elevation of the New Gods, of course, it only features six gods.
Emeryn has entered Secret Room 3. This would have been the high priest's private bedchamber. As you enter the room, you catch the faint scent of jasmine. As in the office, as you enter the room a series of candles along the mantle magically light themselves. There is a large fireplace along the south wall that connects to the fireplace in the office. Along the east wall, there is a large wardrobe and a vanity with a stool, presumably where the high priest would don his vestments each morning. There is a basin and pitcher on the vanity filled with cool, clean water. A clean white cloth is folded neatly next to the basin. There is a cozy leather chair next to the fireplace along the west wall, near the simple single bed. Despite the age of the room, the quilts on the bed look new.
There is a stone door on the east wall, between the wardrobe and the south wall.
Reed leaves room 3 through the door into the eastern hall and notices another door adjacent to the one he just exited. He tries to enter, but the door to room 4 is locked.
