That's what I came up with for her ability. I was thinking her spellbook would be primarily ramp and fat. Unless the spellbook is going to have no summon spells.

To be perfectly honest, I've never done D&D or any other RPG. So, I'm not quite sure if this is right... just copying more or less what everyone else put down...

I use Rakka as an EDH general, but I don't think I've never realized that she isn't an Elemental herself. You learn something new everyday, huh?
Mystical tutor is an iconic spell, but I'm not sure if I'm overpowered or underpowered in this case. I have two "mana," which I don't know if that directly translates or not. (How does Sliver Legion cast overrun?)
Will I be able to mystical tutor for any legal target printed in magic? Will I be able to cast said spells? If so, awesome.
Do I only have two mana to spend for reals? If so, that cuts me off a lot of mystical tutor targets.
Does my ability have to be what my card does? If so, mystical tutor seems either strictly better (or worse, i can't tell yet) than my ability. It'd be a shame to always use one or the other.

That seems like a bit much mana for that ability. Maybe if it was that much mana to become any creature (CMC<7) it'd be worth it, but otherwise why become copies of us or our creatures?
Couldn't we just consider that since I am a charecter, I am automatically put into play? as that's how all commanders are working anways? so it should be 4 to copy... or maybe X to copy (of course where X is equal to cmc)?... honestly you think becoming any creature in play (for 4) is OP? what about being able to pump out 3/1's on turn 1?
Or maybe we can have it where i have the ability to copy a creature (for 4, or maybe less, since generals start in play in this game), triggering ETB effects of that creature, but lose that ability once I use it, then I can pay 4 (maybe more, scaled by how much my first ability costs)to return to normal (removing enchantments, counters, etc)
If you think about it, sakashima isn't all that awsome since she can't use acitavted abilties of creatures...

My bad, I didn't explain well enough: She can't use the activated abilities of non-blue generals (and those with colorless activation costs) because she can't produce mana of the color rquired.

Well, it's been over a month since Stirge posted on this thread, but according to his profile, he was online yesterday... so if someone is really interested in getting this ball rolling, PM him (a lot of us PM him maybe if you want to get the point across). The image is hilarious. Four hawks flying through the air, carrying swords in their claws, one of them piloting a behemoth battering ram body, led into war by Jace, only to be on the receiving end of a tactical nuke.
Though I think I can safely say Squadron Hawk won't see any bannings any time soon.
