There have been games since, but only in the alternate-continuity "Lords of Shadow" series. Mirror of Fate is pretty decent, but not to the level of some of the better SotN-style games.
I should try Mirror of Fate now that it's on PC but I have low hopes. Both Lords of Shadow were terrible. The first because it suffered from "Star Fox Adventures" syndrome (company has lots of assets for an original IP and are forced to adapt them to a preexisting franchise) and the second because it just was.
Pros of Mirror of Fate:
It's a 2d Castlevania in the (rough) style of SotN
It incorporates some of my favorite Castlevania characters as playables (Trevor, Simon, and Alucard)
Combat has a lot of options
Cons of Mirror of Fate:
Split into multiple chapters that don't cross over, so there is not nearly as much exploration as true SotN CV games.
There is no continuity with the original games so it's basically just slapping classic CV names on generic characters.
Despite having a lot of options, there's little customization and combat tends to be pretty spammy and repetitive.
It's not great, but it's better than the 3D CV dreck.

KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

Who's crossfire? Search tells me that the user "Crossfire" on MTGS hasn't been around for two years and hasn't ever played Mafia. I'm assuming you mean someone else...?
That's fine by me. I read that as Spacetart initially and I was like 'what kind of chat is that'

I guess Harmony of Despair isn't that bad, just not really my thing.

Not anybody, really. I'm a porcelain construct -- you could say a doll. My maker created me to host Mafia games. It's a happy existence, I s'pose.

I may have to take you up on your offer, Antny.
I'll message him.
Thanks again for all your recruiting help!
Yes indeed.
Role PMs will go out soon and the game will start when everyone's confirmed. Happy hunting!
